very cool, i love to hear your casual talk man
so much entertaining than other movie recommendation videos
Thank you so much! I try not to script some of these videos and just let my enthusiasm drive the conversation haha
Hey great vid man! Thanks for the recommendations here. Some gems I've seen that I highly approve of- punch, silence, princess bride, etc. And there's definitely some I haven't seen yet in your collection. I made a full criterion collection vid as well!
Great personality. I genuinely enjoyed you talking. Stick with it. You'll get big.
Really fun video, love your easygoing personality
Thanks so much!
Awesome collection, man. I absolutely love Criterion too. Some of my favorites you don’t have are Andrei Rublev, Dekalog, the Yojimbo/Sanjuro set and the Bergman Box. I’ve also been checking out the works of Abbas Kiarostami on the Criterion Channel. Great video!
Aw man! The Bergman box is a dream for me haha I couldn’t decide between buying that or buying a switch... I made the wrong choice.
Dashing Agent I’m sure the switch is great and all but it is Bergman...haha
6:54 hey thats me! lol i love FWWM tho, and the whole show in general. awesome vid man, ur hilarious #subbed
Hey hey!! Thanks for all the movies haha

Very nice collection, and good variety of genres. If I must suggest anything it would be to watch more David Cronenberg films. The Fly, Scanners, The Dead Zone (amazing film), Dead Ringers, Shivers, and his acting as Decker in Night Breed to name a few. They might make you feel strange, but they are certainly unforgettable.
Thank you! I’ve been slowly working my way through Cronenberg’s filmography. Can’t wait to watch more.
Brilliant choices :)
Thank you! What are some of your favorites?
Great video buddy, just finished War and Peace on criterion, amazing!!!
That’s another classic I’ve never actually seen. Gonna have to add it to my watchlist!
My favorite Criterions are, 12 Angery Men. In the Heat of the night, and the upcoming release of Malcom X 4K.
Good to read these comments. Still good people in this world.
Some great recommendations in here!
You're a great person because the way you responded. I can think of a few classic. In the Heat of the night. Deep Cover. Buck, and the Preacher. Do the right thing. Menance to Society, just to name a few.
Thanks so much! I’ll add these to my list. Excited to check them out.
Thanks! I really enjoyed it
I love Harold & Maude! I find it funnier upon every rewatch! I can't believe I didn't like The Silence of The Lambs when I saw it for the first time when I was a kid! It's a masterpiece!
David Lynch ♡
Shoutout to Gavin for gifting you Criterion releases :)
My favorite film is on Criterion: Purple Noon.
I’ve never seen Purple Noon. I’ll have to put it on my list! Thanks for the suggestion :)
You are the only reason I own criterions right now
So glad I could be of service!
I love silence of the lambs too. Can’t wait to get the criterion version looks so sick
It’s one of my favorite releases!
I hope you watch more obscure titles in Criterion. A lot of your titles are well known beyond the collection. I recommend "Marketa Lazarova", "Taste Of Cherry" (though it's slow), anything by Powell & Pressburger, "Le Havre"
Thanks for these suggestions! I’ll put them on my list. To be totally honest, I’m not much of a collector when it comes to criterion. I tend to buy my favorite movies and if they’re on criterion, all the better!
Yeah it's always awesome when something you're familiar with comes to the collection. Though what I love most about Criterion is that it allows you to experience some movies you would not have otherwise seen.
"What do I own that you don't?" I'll mention some random ones. Smithereens, Yojimbo/Sanjuro boxset and Crazed Fruit (huh I guess this one just got OoP?)
"Some of my favorites?" Fish Tank, Still Walking, 2 or 3 Things I Know About Her
"Favorite of them all?" Barry Lyndon. I think it's funny and neat that you think Barry Lyndon is slow but Solaris isn't. Love both of them though and I'm not knocking on you for feeling what you feel.
Nice! I definitely think Solaris is also slow haha. Been meaning to rewatch Barry Lyndon for a while now. Thanks for the motivation to finally get around to it!!
My favorite movie I own in the criterion collection is fanny and Alexander out the ingmar bergman collection
I recently got the Bergman collection! Very excited about it
@@DashingAgent you'll love it
Okay not bad, I actually have alot of these like 81/2 and I have that Seven Samurai, Blue Velvet, and I actually have that Cronenberg Scanners so if you like exploding heads haha what more can I say? What's your all time favorite Film?
All time? Spider-Man 2.
@@DashingAgent Hey campy web slinging, I can't nock that my favorite is actually Desperado by Rodriguez... It was always like a peace of home.
@@DashingAgent same with me
Hell yeah!
Just started my collection, being in Australia makes it a bit harder. (Had to buy a multi region player, and order Blu rays through third parties). So far Come and See and Straw Dogs are my favourites. I'd strongly suggest adding Andrei Rublev to your Tarkovsky collection, it's a masterpiece. (I'm yet to buy that criterion disc yet though). Just waiting for Harakiri to arrive (ordered it nearly a month ago), it's a blind buy, but one of the most highly rated films so looking forward to it.
"8 1/2" bored me, just not my thing I guess, as everyone else seems to love it.
I also found 8 1/2 kinda boring but still loved it. Just watched Come and See recently - incredible. Straw Dogs made me feel like I needed a bath haha
Keep collecting! Maybe someday Criterion will make it easier for you.
@@DashingAgent I hope they do :) Yeah Straw Dogs is very umm... raw.
which blu ray player did you buy? also in Australia.
@@marcochen9117 Strong multi region player. Australian brand. I've set mine to region A. And just use it to play region A discs. Remote control isn't great, but solidly built unit.
my favourite criterion movies are come and see, walkabout and the bridge
I’ll have to add those last two to my watchlist! Thanks for the suggestions :)
What's Paths of Glory about?
It’s about a WW1 Officer defending his soldiers after they’re accused of cowardice for not following through with an attack. Really good stuff.
"Until the End of the World" A Wim Wenders film
On my list!!
I've got such a love/hate relationship with Lynch!
I think he elicits that response in a lot of people! I only love the guy. In fact, I'm working on a video about him now!
I love Nashville
3 Women is my favourite Robert Altman film
I’ll add this one to my watchlist!
shout outs to Gavin
The legend.
Criterion collection of mine check it out
no multi-cultural movies. typixal I guess.
Got any suggestions?
What's wrong with your nose?
Lol I dunno allergies? What kinda question is that?
@@DashingAgent bro it's so red
Yeah dude it’s crazy.
Cringe
Ugh ur tellin me
cool movies, annoying presentation. just talk about the films and stop talking like you work at hot topic.
No thanks!
what does this comment even mean lol. What a stupid thing to say.
