Nitra and Slovak's have been under hungary and austrian rule for thousand years, its time to change that and become their overlors and lead the HRE :D time to change who is the overlord and who the pupet :D (personal union/vasalize hungary/austria with all their provinces, become HRE emperor and if have time maybe beat ottomans to make sure they are no threat)
Well Nitra sounds almost sounds like nitro(glycerin), so as a special goal, conquer the city of the guy who first made it (Sobrero in Turin) and/or Alfred Nobels Hometown of Stockholm, since he got rich from it.
I'm beginning to think that since someone said that he looks like a bond villain, he started leaning into it that turtleneck sweater that he's wearing is definitely signs of it
I was successful in my first battle. I bought the lands that Eretna claimed, and some ducats. In my second war, the Ottomans even entered the lands of the Mamluks and destroyed our armies. Fuck this job. It is not possible to cope with the Ottomans
Thats the name of Anatolian Seljuks which is the succesor state of Great Seljuks. So you arent playing as Ottoman as another beylik but playing as Seljuks as a beylik. But it sucks that Rum missions dont focus on Great Seljuk former land.
having played in Australia before, I can say that it is incredibly boring(though that may have been because I went settled tribe to go for the federation instead of a horde to reform before the Europeans came) so just given all the waiting it might be fair to just unite Australia, however considering Kaura's national ideas sort of focus around promoting women's place in society(female advisor chance +75% and can recruite female generals) an idea might also be to become a horde and own one province in the Amazons(because of the whole hidden society of women warriors called the Amazons or whatever)
I did around 10 end of karaman before I was finally able to get the achievement. Most runs were ended because the mamluks have one of the stupidest ai’s in the game.
yeah, they often get bogged down in the deserts of the Arabian peninsula, and when you get to call them in against the Ottomans, they are at 0 manpower. ALWAYS.
Going strong with the series i see. I'm still crawling behind but I'm still on "B" like "Butua" and I'm occasionally jumping around if i have some good suggestion or to test new DLC (my recent distraction was Teutons, Denmark, Sweden, Norway ("the American Pirate Republic of Totemist Norway" was too much for me after all and get obliterated by franco-brito-spaniardo-portugeaso alliance born in hell), Livonanians and finally Raja of Rajput Reich which i just finished it today). I still think the concept of going through achievements alphabetically was a nice idea to give some order in moments when i can;t decide campaign albeit i hiitted my head more then few times.
‘Rum’ demek Romalı demektir yani romalı yurdu.2. mehmet istanbul’u aldığında kendine rum diyarının hükümdarı ünvanını vermişti kendimizi romanın devamı olarak görüyorduk müslüman Roma.
Rum was what Turks called the Anatolian peninsula even before conquering and inhabiting it due to the fact that Anatolia used to be Roman territory hence they adopted it as regional state name rather than an ethnic one
because that is what we called ourselves back then. "Rum" in Islamic world mostly referred to byzantines and as anatolia was byzantine heartland we called these region "rum". Modern turkish doesn't use this usage because during ottoman era the word "rum" also gained the usage used when referring to greeks. they literally called themselves "Seljuks of Rum" That name is quite spot on.
Kaurna? So return to Australia? You already took the Mandate, you became HRE emperor so the next logical step is to take over Japan. Become shogun/emperor/form Japan/whatever is the best that the game allows!
I feel like the Ottomans getting Constantinople was a good thing since it gets devved up quite a bit so when you annexed it, you got an even better city
Man I am so excited you are about to reach 100k, I think you really deserve it. I am not used to commend often but I wanted to let you know I am a fan since 1.31 came out and following since then. Love you man ♥
I think I got A Hero's Welcome on my 7-8 try. I got close a few times, but the time I got it was actually pretty easy. All about ally luck and Ottoman AI sometimes
Ottomans with the accidental war declaration. Mehmet should be more careful when using keyboard shortcuts…have to say I haven’t seen that happen in a while now…😂
AI has a tendency to declare wars on anything they want nowadays. Especially if the AI thinks its a fair war, and the ruler has an expansionist trait, which is definitely the case in your second war with the Ottomans.
TWENTY RUNS I had to take to get this archivement, the ruler and heir is shit and the mamluks for some reason likes to siege Tunis or Crimea, you have to be very lucky
The AI is kinda strange sometimes. Yesterday in my game, the Teutonic Order and his 20k troops tried a no CB on Austria which was still emperor with Hungary as a PU, so he fought alone against the emperor and all his allies (150k troops) '-'
this happens when Teutons join hre with condition to not expand into empire. If they declare on anyone in the empire it automatically starts a second separate war against the emperor
@@popi-7364 not quite. Because it's handled by an event (I think) emperor doean't even show up in the declaration screen at all so ai Teutons have no idea that it will start a second war. This was supposed to be fixed in one of the patches but I am not sure if it was.
It’s funny when the title is “impossible” but you’ve done it first try. I admit I got extremely lucky. Byz somehow allied Austria and Poland before the ottomans foolishly attacked and got wrecked, then I tag teamed them with the mamluks.
you know, it would have been a flex to conquer Turkey with this nation, Create the Sultanate of Rum, and than COVERT THE SULTANATE INTO JUDAISM. so you got a Jewish Roman empire with a muslim origin, that is located in modern day Turkey
In my karaman game I start coquering ramazan and dulkadir and wait the Ottomans vs Albania + Venice (almost always happens) war to attack the Turks, it seems easier with hungary and mamluks as allies cause hungary have the venecians indirect allies to fight the turks
Why would Muslim nations care about which dynasty is on your throne? They can't get PUs---legit asking, as I've only played Catholic, Orthodox, and Coptic so far.
Always wanted to create Rum as Karaman but when you do that, game starts to be boring because when you form it your game looks like Otto's in 1444. With the same mechanics and just different colour. No special missions whatsoever.

snake around hungary, spawn kiev rebels in the carpathian mountains and pop out transylvania for that RECONQUEST VASSAL SWARM (go east!)
Not relevant, but what happened to formables? 4 episodes in and it was never heard from again.

He needs those little glasses also to complete the look lol
He trucebreaks as well, so the bond villain comparison checks out.
I had to embrace the meme, I do love turtlenecks tho I got like 10 of em
"And before I kill you, Mr. Bond, let me upgrade this nation to... A KINGDOM! yeees..."
Oh no maybe his job of taking over the world in video games is actually just practice for the real world?
Name: "Forming RUM As KARAMAN is IMPOSSIBLE"
Reality: "Smooth Sailing during my first try because it's TOO EASY"
Literally Mamluks carrying through whole episode
It's called clickbait
@ indeed. And it gets way too much on this channel.
I love how clickbait-y his titles are lol

I've born and raised in that small city of Karaman, and I was expecting for this episode. Thank you man :)
Fun fact: Sultanate of Rum (Rome) is how the Ottomans refer to themselves. So basically, you are becoming the Ottomans with another beylik.
Thats the name of Anatolian Seljuks which is the succesor state of Great Seljuks. So you arent playing as Ottoman as another beylik but playing as Seljuks as a beylik. But it sucks that Rum missions dont focus on Great Seljuk former land.
the final part feels like the end of an easy civ game where you're like 2 tiers of siege weapons above everyone else and you decide to end it quick
How you don’t have over 100k subscribers at this point astounds me, you’re my favorite eu4 UA-camr!
The Red Hawk: man, I'm making no money here... Also The Red Hawk: yes Mr. Ottoman, you can keep your lvl. 2 centers of trade, I don't need them.

Btw, Rûm is pronounced like "Room" with a hard R, not rum 😅Rûm is the Turkish version of Rome.
we call it Seljuks in general
@@championgundyr1092 the seljuks are different from the sultanate of rum though
@@Q8iAB in turkish history we have 2 seljuk states, great seljuks and anatolian seljuks (aka sultanate of rum). At least this is what we call 🤷♀
@@championgundyr1092 interesting, never seen them called that before but it makes sense
I prefer Rum because it’s funny. I also like to call Landshut “Landslut”
Dziękujemy.
My first stream in EU4 was Andalusia as Granada and the second Karaman into Rum, so much fun
Meanwhile Genoa this game is just busy turning the Crimean Region into their own private lake lol
Rum literally means Rome in Turkish. Why they named Seljuks as Rum is blowing my mind
‘Rum’ demek Romalı demektir yani romalı yurdu.2. mehmet istanbul’u aldığında kendine rum diyarının hükümdarı ünvanını vermişti kendimizi romanın devamı olarak görüyorduk müslüman Roma.
Rum was what Turks called the Anatolian peninsula even before conquering and inhabiting it due to the fact that Anatolia used to be Roman territory hence they adopted it as regional state name rather than an ethnic one

you get the same decision for dev and culture-religion conversion and a free core as Rum tho
