Annex all Orthodox nations.
Go colonize because livonia ( the secularized ) did it .
As The Livonian Order get the Prussian Blue Achievement if you haven't. Otherwise make Europe 100% Catholic
Unite(meaning conquer) all the holy orders and form Jerusalem
Livonia can form Kurland, and Kurland have in it's ideas something about colonization because they tried to colonize some random islands in the Caribean... So... Start with Livonian Order have a CN that owns all of the Caribean could be cool
"I'm actually an idiot" is the best opening ever. Short, to the point, fun, and does not spoils anything.
And relatable, because we're all actually idiots
@@europeanreich1521 "Umm... I like money" xD
It was funny the first time but Laith you gotta go run your own channel, give us back the beautiful mustache man!
Nice
True
Got em 😂😂😂
Imagine being Poland with the 6/6/6 ruler ending up in a union under 4/4/1
The only reason why the lithuanian ruler only has 1 mil ingame is for balancing reasons, he was quite alright irl, at least 3-4. It's kind of insulting to have him have the same mil skill as enrique lmao
@@ywoisug8845 Well, another thing is that Poland didn't have elective monarchy until 130 years later, so they generally cut the Jagiellon dynasty short in the game
@@SereglothIV they done the jagiellons foul
@@SereglothIVthey could Give them scripted ruter Sigisimund II Jagiellon and give him heir chance -100%. And only after his death they have elective monarchy. This should be a change in eu5
This is just the tip of the Lithuania iceberg. They also get a PU on Muscovy/Russia, ability to get the tribes and cossacks estates, and can become a hegemon more easily. Very underrated country.
I know Lithuania starts with the Cossacks but how do you get the Tribes? I don't think I've seen them in Lithuania before and can't remember if I've ever actually seen them in-game apart from tribal nations
@@ChrisVillagomez there's an event that fires after completing one of the missions, and one of the options is get the tribes estate that normally hordes have, for 50 years.
@@cinnanyan That's pretty cool, thanks 👍

This
Yesss, I second this!
this is a good one
Livonian order can also form Livonia and get the Thalassocracy gov reform and do the same.
Quick tip, when choosing your rivals, if you don't need anyone in particular, it's always worth taking countries that are the weekest compared to you, sometime just by building up your army you can surpase them and it gives Power Projection!
Austria day one and Savoy. Every time.
Kinda vibe with just normal guides for large nations like this. Gives us, and more importantly you, time to regain your sanity.
"I've never played as Lithuania" says he in the most Lithuanian accent of all eu4 streamers
“Why am I so poor” ~has 20% inflation~
Should have hit Novgorod, Great Horde, and Crimea as soon as possible to box in Muscovy. This way, they don't grow too strong to attack, and opens further expansion into the steppes and Sweden so you don't get stuck like you did in this game.
I think Lithuania-Polish Commonwealth with loyal cossacks and tribes and quality ideas has the biggest cavalry combat ability outside of doing thinks like forming Poland as a Horde.
Red Hawk at 3:34: "We start pretty poor"
Red Hawk at 3:48: gets rid of all boats while he could have sold them 😅
Honestly, the mechanic to sell boats is so cumbersome that it might as well not exist. Only the super efficient people that play for, idk, speedruns or smth use it.
I don't play efficient at all and I most often use it when I don't like my boats anymore 👷🏻
@@EaSkateVideo you have more patience to receive some ducats than I do it seems haha
Usually only in my opening moves though. Selling your starting ships could be the difference between getting a good advisor with or without loans 😁
Also, selling ships to a vassel you are about to integrate is free ducats as you get the ships back very soon 😂
Having to see you play my country that i live in just warms my hearth much love man :D. Continue to watch all your videos
Filling the Lithuanian mission tree before forming the Commonwealth gives powerful gov reforms (Great Kingdom and Great Empire) and more things that are quite good, then when you form the Commonwealth you get the Polish mission tree, and if I remember correctly, its expanded from regular Poland, but its the same expansion Poland gets when it forms the Commonwealth
Glad to see Lithuania played! (And to see you somehow managed to find the pain) We enjoy seeing these A to Z & guide hybrid vids.
For Livonian Order, do the reverse of the Papal State achievement. The Unholy Trinity, convert to protestantism and vassalize the Teutonic Order, The Knights and The Papal State
My favorite Lith campaign was doing their missions, PUing Muscovy, culture shifting to Polish, forming Poland, PUing Hungary and Bohemia, culture shifting to Prussian, forming Prussia, and dominating. Much fun.
18:09 I think you focused too much in Europe, you should've also conquer Crimea and the Hordes to make Muscovy easier to PU.
The last time I played Lithuania my opening move was to fight Novgorod instantly which really crippled Muscovy and made them an easy target for expansion after also taking Odoyev/Ryazan. Poland was still super easy to beat later on
I try to let Muscovy form Russia before I go to enforce the PU over them. If you take the PU early, they won't form Russia and thus won't get their special Siberian Frontier idea
Greetings from the former Grand Duchy of Lithuania lands!
I'm from western Belarus
wait what happened to the other handsome fellow a few days ago?
He died rip
Ah another taTer who Thinks thEres a Matrix
He experienced pain
That 25% inflation though
You lose the Lithuanian missions and get the Polish ones after forming the Commonwealth, so it's best to get everything out of it before forming. At the end of the tree there's a PU CB on Muscovy/Russia. Get it before forming Commonwealth.
Another good strategy is to wait for Muscovy to form russia and only then form a union by mission - this way we will eventually get the whole siberia
Hawk, you really should have pushed east before Muscovy consolidated itself there. You'd be able to eat up their centres of trade and get lots of trade power in the Baltic when combined with Livonian and Prussian CoTs. Giving out tons of crown land at the beginning really pushed you into money issues, maybe be a bit more careful next time.
On top of that, feeding land to Poland is very viable to conserve admin points since you annex them anyway, assuming you don't push them over the province limit.
Most of the issues in this campaign were brought upon you by yourself.
It's fun to see you have a casual run, but it also PAINS me to see you under-utilize Lithuania so much. First, your crownland should never be below 20% because Lithuania is restricted to Duchy rank till you form Commonwealth (aka no autonomy reduction bonus). Second, gov cap becomes a big issue but you can PU both Poland and Muscovy quickly. Infact, you should've hit Muscovy hard as soon as you had tech 6. And finally, taking over the Orders' lands makes you the real $$. Good shit as always though!
Edit: You didn't use the most powerful estate in EU4 at all 🤐
It is really shame you can't bring back Romuva religion . Unlike Norse Romuva was still strongly present in Lithuania in 1444 .
Your fired!
Nevermind, your unfired, come back
I think it would be fun, if you would just be bolder in declaring wars. If you are such a big country and outnumber the enemy with your allies ,or without them, i think it would be entertaining to just go for it :D
Great videos
I just got the Uncommonwealth, as well as a Great Duchy achievements just a couple days prior.
since you go and do the achievements when you don't have them, will you do the three mountains achievement when you come around to playing Ryukyu? x)
5:30 I thought it was hardcoded that AI Poland will never PU player Lithuania
That is correct. The AI cannot trigger events that result in a player being PU'd. This is why an Aragon player gets Iberian wedding event over Castile, and never the other way.
They can still PU the player through CB or succession.
Lithuania can decline the PU now
Hawk felt what I have felt when I misclicked sell titles and then a month ticked over literally the next day and I couldn't Alt-F4. We feel your pain.
muscovy: did you just say Lithuania was the only grand duchy in europe?
6:52 That's really crazy, if the Ottomans guaranteed Wallachia or the Moldavians didn't choose Hungary that wouldn't have happened.
5:30 Isn't that a 100 % thing. "If the player is Lithuania, Poland will decline the PU". Or was that changed?
you can attack first novgorod to take novgorod state and after pu polland u can get pu cb on russia
I played Lithuania to get this achievement in 1.33, I got insane RNG and somehow directly inherited Bohemia like 2 years in
As LPC you can also PU Muscovy.
I feel like the goal for next week should be just to survive.
As the Livonian Order, become Livonia and then switch back to Theocracy
14:45 - A note to viewers, if you find yourself with disloyal vassals and too many diplo relations, consider granting the strong duchies privilege to the nobility, it tends to be pretty helpful.
Luristan is on the horizon.
"We're pretty poor" *Deletes boats instead of selling boats* facepalm
can someone count how many times this dude said "im an idiot" in his videos lol
So, as Lithuania, for the start, you have to release Zaporozhie to get their cavalry, because they have two times bigger pips, comparing to Estern-Europian guys and you have cossac estates, where you can get +20% to cavalry combat ability and you'll surelly be the super power.
as well as you have to convert to Orthodox, because it's just stronger, than Catholic in this game
@@MyroslavKuzmich in this patch? Delusional
@@elcazador3349 , well, but you can form Ruthenia and get russian tsardom and be the greatest one, because you'll have all the manpower in the world, as well, as discipline and better unit types🤷♂️

@@oliwierbroda2575 , but why? Manpower is better, than anything you can think of, especially, if you stack it
Played as Lithuania couple months ago. First i went for the Livonian Order. Mil access through Novgorod allowed me to win the race against Denmark so i full annexed both Liv and Riga. Next was Novgorod. There i wasnt able to take the whole state for the mission cause Muscovy took their opportunity. But i snatched the province of Novgorod and Neva away from them. This is crucial cause it blocks Muscovys missions and keeps them weaker.
Only then did i went for the PU over Poland. Because Poland wont get crushed right away by others unlike the Livonian Order and Novgorod. So Poland can wait while i take lands which otherwise would get taken by much stronger nations. And i dont think annexing lands from Poland instead of going for the PU is worth. Cause Polands neighbours would join the feast and take lots of good land away from you. And even worse, most of them are part of the HRE.
Next was crushing Crimea which is important to do early on before they might become Ottos subject. And then another war against Muscovy for the rest of the Novgorod provinces to get the PU CB on them.
After i PUed Muscovy the game became easy. Expansion routes were the Balkans, the steppes, Scandinavia and after i dismantled the HRE Germany aswell. Later on i formed Prussia first and then Russia. Never liked Poland and Commonwealth cause of the arkward gouvernment type and the Szlachta priviledge you have to carry around for way too long.
I had the same issue, Local Autonomy was always low so money as always tight.
Livonian Order is HARD to get the 'Almost Prussian Blue' achievement.
No good allies, Teutons will get smacked by Denmark and Poland, Sweden is almost a good ally until they get free and then want your land... Muscovy is always lurking...
Bohemia wont ally at first, unless they lose to Poland or Austria once. Same with Brandenburg.
What worked for me was to take out the Teutons before Denmark and Poland get to them and join the HRE before you grow to much.
Then I took all of the Baltic.
Lithuania has money issues because at the start of the game it has bad trade node bad trade goods and bad tax money. It Also maintains way too many troops especially cavalry. Its like a beggar version of France.
But in mid game it's one of the best to play tall as. All those ruthenian land are really nice for devinvg.
If you dont Rival Poland in the begining, and ally instead. You can use them to PU Bohemia. Of course Austria needs to rival bohemia too.
How do you even know all that stuff where to look the forts, the advisors, the boats the favors I am jus surfing through the game with things happening to me :)
Wouldn't it be smarter to feed Poland provinces (up to 40) so you get free cores when you annex them?
"I'm actual an idiot!",
Yes... we all are, man. It's in our genes!
As Livonia, own the 3 Romes and be emperor of the HRE....
I really wish they decreased the distant war modifier, it makes allies pretty useless in the late game
Is Leviathan an expansion worth getting? I like the extra stuff it adds to the favor system, but the reviews are so overwhelmingly negative.
Ah Lithuania, how I got my 1k dev dutchess achievement
You didn't really do something with your Lithuania Mission tree. For example restoration of Kiev.
Has anyone told you you look a lot like Laith from the social streamers?
Ugh. The Word start. U should wait few mintaj and finish 2 first mision and hot claim on all chrome and lubinian order
As Lithuanian i can confirm its most powerfull countrie in Europe
It was painful to watch. Atleast go trough mission tree before playing. Was hoping you will eventually notice PU over Muscowy
Is anyone else really surprised to see a strong, independent Hungary and kinda bummed out that Redhawk had to go and gut them like that? :(
24:45
POV: aliens have landed in Lithuania
reducing emperors opinion of any hre member really low makes it so that emperor wont defend them.
which dlc´s do you have ?
Laith it isn't funny anymore give the channel back to our mustache man guys let us protest✊
Can you make a video how to create Brazil?
You started well with PUing and then screwed up honestly
As the Livonian order try to conquer Riga
As a lithuanian I approve.
why does your crownland go red at 15:25. You're losing so much money
Apparently he sold titles by accident
I did this achievement before Lithuania got it's PU over Poland in its mission tree. My economy wasn't any better than yours. Lithuania is a financial black hole.
irl - yes, in the game - no, you probably just suck at making money
As the Timurids, form the Great Yuan
What if bohemia rivals austria?
Dude WHAT is with the AI and shitcanning their entire military for no reason this patch?
You made one mistake why did you rival poland if they get additional - to your relations?
I suppose to ally Poland's rivals and get more spy network.
I always PU Bohemia before puing Poland in my games
Nah bro, PU is the better strategy. If you beat up Poland, Bohemia, Austria, and Hungary will start beating them up too. Before long, all three of them will hate you because they want your land - all three have mission trees going into Poland - and you'll be left with 1/4 of Poland and 3 angry, more powerful enemies.
Open Aristocratic + Espionage, with Poland or Lithuania. Think of the memes, man!
🔥🔥🔥LIT🔥🔥🔥huanaia
Fun fact at that (really) time Lithuania was a duchy of the 3 nations include Ukrainian at that time it was rusinian, rusians in our time just simply stole our name in order to start a war)

*uses Polish king Bolesław Chrobry for thumbnail*
Biggest nation in Europe at 1444 is England THO
Livonia time?!
As Livonia, convert Moscow and Novgorod to Catholicism
you rezlly dhopuld have checked the ideas
With livonians form russia?
I see you always crank the corruption slider all the way up. Why? Having a bit of corruption and fighting it with the default slider setting is the optimal way to go. Moving the slider all the way up murders your economy. The corruption will go down eventually, and it goes down faster by simply being ahead of admin and diplo tech, which is a far cheaper way, than paying for it yourself.
Ortodox privilege isnt that good, should have given the tolerance and still convert them, with +5 total you have no unity issue and conversion gives a ton of papal influence which can be a lot of buffs including inflation, interest, or free stab, which you needed.
bro didnt check the LPC ideas its over...
Legendary Polish king Jan I Gryff

Hello am from Lithuania
I just can't get in to this. I can't stand his accent or his moustache xD Also flurry is way better at the game :P
Yeahhhh
PU is better. Czech with Brandenburg like to take their land. War with emperor would be pain.
So you just deleted your entire navy without even trying to sell it??? Who is this video for?
Since you skipped out on it this time, as the Livonians convert to a non Christian faith.
Forming Reformed Russia as Lithuania is better.
