I just had the opportunity to work with Garrett. Hes a great guy and just like his videos here he's very positive, motivational and insightful. Keep up the good work Garrett!
Just started my flight journey and I’m making videos week by week of the progress! You’ve inspired me big time! Thank you and I hope to get to the majors like you. Do a pay video!!
Id love to see a video about the hour guarantee and how you still get paid whether you fly or not and things like that. i guess an in depth pay video with other pay/vacation/benefits please
Am currently in my last year in college , am happy to hear from you what's awaits me after graduation. Can't wait to graduate and get a job.i know Aviation is not as easy but hearing from you gives me motivation and hope.
I can say that I have never flown, I think that the first impact would be strong for me, maybe in the future I will go over and see the world from above, I appreciate the videos you post, how dedicated you are to the things you do you love I wish you good health and you are a man to be appreciated and loved🙏🫶🏻
Garrett can you please make a video that discusses the path you chose to becoming a airline pilot maybe some school recommendations, I love to travel and I want to pursue a career in aviation, I loved planes since I was a kid and I’m looking forward to doing this in the near future thanks for your videos I appreciate it ✈️ ❤
❤❤Pilot Garret, I love it when he speaks English. Of course, it's his native language. I admire him very much. He speaks good English. I wish I could speak English too.
Can you share your path to becoming a pilot? If you where to start over today, what path would you chose to become a pilot? Can you go over financing too
It was great my bro thanks a lot for this video I suggest you that make a more video about aviation and your routine I hope one day be like you as perfect pilot
Sir I been watching you for a while now, and I am interested to become a pilot but I am in college so the earliest i can start flying school is in summer 2025, do you think i got a chance since the market is recovering and I will be able to start in like 2027 or 2028
Picking the right instructor and school will change your view and path. Make sure you know what you getting into a ton of studying but it’s worth every hour 100%
Hello Garrett, What plane do you currently fly? Is it one of the Boeing planes that have been having many issues? Do you think that Boeing will address their issues so that flying is safe again moving forward?
Problem is schedule, always living out of bag, jet lag, living out of hotels, messed up routine. Lower pay compared to dentistry, some areas of medicine, big law, big finance etc
@@daniel-hh5ss nah, uncle Makes over $400k a year in dentistry. Has ppl for fun. Brother makes over $300k in Quant trading with a math and finance degree.
If you want to become a international pilot you need to go to the college if you want only inside country flights you can go with flight school, but you'llmake less income with the flight school license...
In depth pay can you also cover 401k or retirements usually done by the airline industry and how long you have to work to retire from the airline and other benefit of retirement from airline.
honestly, this is kind of funny. your brother wanting to be an airline pilot most of his life now works for the local city while you had no ambition to become one are now a pilot. but none of it would have happened if grandpa listened to his father and stays as a mechanic instead of getting the passion to become a pilot.
My son is very much interested in aviation. He loves everything about it! We are nyc local what flight school would you recommend? And how early can he start taking lessons? He’s in HS.
Garrett, do airlines allow beard now or are you due for a shave in this video? I have always worn a beard since I could grow one and am working to get to the airlines flight deck. Seeing your stubble in the video has given me hope! Please let me know!
Hey, Garrett (or anybody): What job were you working at the airport before deciding to become a pilot? What jobs does an airport offer, if somebody needed to switch to a more enjoyable occupation whilst in general aviation training?
Love the videos, keeps me motivated to make the leap from helicopters to the airlines in the hopefully near future! Question for you. I know there is recurrent training each year. Do you have the ability or time to study during the cruise portion of the flight? Are you even allowed to read during cruise? Obviously there are still systems and radios to monitor during this time so your attention would be divided. On shorter flights there is likely not a ton of "free" time but is this something that airline pilot's would ever consider?
can someone explain what he means by "I can take a vacation without taking a vacation slot" and "Im sometimes able to take 3,4,5,6 weeks off of flying completely without using a single vacation slot" ? I dont understand..
For example we get 75h-80h of flying per month. If I fly from Vancouver to Australia that’s 30h done (in 4 days). If I get 2 Australias than that’s means 60h in a week. If I add a Hong Kong that is 20h more. In 11 days I’m done with my flying for the month. If I stack my flying I can get 20 days off that month and if I do the same for the next month that means I can get 40 consecutive days off. That is 5 weeks off where no vacation time was used because you worked all your hours but still feels like a “vacation! Hope it makes sense
In depth pay please 🙏🏼
In depth pay! Also, a video on what airline initial training is like would be awesome as well.

Love the vids. I can't wait to fly! I'm hopefully going to start flying charters and build some hours in Janurary! I would love an in-depth pay video!

Great video and channel! Could you make some videos of cockpit preparation and FMC/MCDU operations depending on what plane you fly?
You the man garret 😂 being an airline pilot is not a career is a lifestyle

If you where to start over today, what path would you chose to become a pilot?

In depth pay. That would be great to know. Especially as I’m already interviewing for the airlines. Hope to be there soon.
My Dad is a captain at the other FedEx and makes over 450k a year with two different pensions and a 401k

I’m trying to figure out the pay of a pilot can you make a video on that please?
Good luck captain ❤❤❤

Two amazing careers! Don’t rush anything let everything fall into place as time flies!

Problem is schedule, always living out of bag, jet lag, living out of hotels, messed up routine. Lower pay compared to dentistry, some areas of medicine, big law, big finance etc
100k first year and 130s by around third year of flying beats the 4 yr negative income required to become dentist or doctor

Great video. When you’re flying for free, does it have to be with the airline that you fly with?
