  • Dear Beautiful , I hope that you’re all well. Mental Health is extremely important but it’s also something that we ignore and swipe under the carpet until it gets to a breaking point where we cannot take it anymore. As soon as you notice that your mental health is declining this would be the time to start taking actionable steps to take better care of your mental health.
    Sometimes speaking to our loved ones could be difficult or you could see it as a sign of weakness. I can assure you that dealing with mental health or struggling with mental health is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign of action , it is a sign that something has gone wrong that we haven’t paid attention to and it needs our attention. Please take up therapy sessions , speak to trusted loved ones and seek appropriate help.
    Today’s video , I talk about my struggles and the atomic habits that I have been implementing in the last 4 weeks. In the last 4 weeks , I have fixed my sleeping pattern , I signed up to a gym that costs me £28 a month and I start implementing all the advice that I read from self development books. It has made me feel the happiest girl in the world. I take small steps everyday or every week to make me a better person. Also, being creative is important for me because I get to tap into the section of my brain where it makes me feel accomplished, I am so incredibly lucky and grateful that I fell in love with making candles and diffusers at home.
    Praying is a huge part of my life, my religion is my foundation. I believe without my religion I am lost, I am grateful that I have God to talk to when I need help or when I feel something seems impossible and God shows me that it is possible and that I just need to believe, trust , work , pray and don't lose sight of my goal. Islam teaches me patience, God teaches me that patience is not an easy skill to have therefore in many cases in our lives we will be tested. God also teaches me that not everyday is for me and not everyday is against me and that life is temporary. Praying allows me to self-reflect, manifest and count my blessings. I am so grateful to be Muslim.

    Thank you for being yourself and sharing your experiences!
    Learning and maintaining good habits is quite the challenge for me too.
    I can sometimes focus too much on one thing, that I forget maintaining the other good habits.
    I also struggle with OCD, which takes a lot of energy and time. This makes it often hard to work on other things I would like to better myself at.
    Keep doing what you love and believe in and... you are enough!

      Maintaining good habits is difficult and requires alot of pushing on our end honestly! Growth and progress is difficult especially in our human nature we are wired to be comfortable and safe and when we do something different that our minds/bodies are not used to there is resistance , it’s almost like our bodies are telling us this is danger and we need to go back to our safety net which why it is so difficult to maintain something new that requires growth.
      Are there ways that you practice to manage your OCD or have it work in your favour? I know a few friends with OCD and they have excellent attention to detail but they are also perfectionists which is not a bad thing but I also find it in me where I won’t start anything until it’s perfect but perfection doesn’t exist so I never start.
      Keep doing what you also love and believe in , you are beautiful, worthy and enough!

      @@mawahebghazal I am in therapy for my OCD. It has benefits as you said for things like attention to detail, but the cost is too much and not worth it. When I care more about my candles than my health, something is wrong. You said; "I won't start anything when it's not perfect", this is also a problem I struggle with. I will keep fighting to get my OCD under control. Thank you for being open about this topic! Keep creating!
