@@Rishita_Naik yes of course, self care can be an everyday thing or you can choose certain days out of the week to do something like getting your nails and feet done, getting a message, giving yourself a facial, washing your hair or getting your hair done professionally, or heck laying in bed watching movies and your favorite show that time is for you, as far as setting boundaries which is hard it all depends on what you have going in your life for me it was changing my number and not dealing with certain people, saying No to certain things, basically putting myself first, it’s not an easy task but you can do it.
I am crying right now and decided to watch a video of yours because I always feel better after watching you. I am the breadwinner of my family and it could be tiring sometimes, especially when I want to buy something for myself or treat myself. I cannot always prioritize myself because my family needs me. I’m gonna try to be more gentle with myself 💗 I have never thought of it as a habit that needs to be build, until you talked about it. I am so hard on myself and I always have been. Everyone around me always tells me how hard I am on myself & I’m so used to it that I don’t even realize it at times. My mental health has been the worst for years and definitely in the past year. I know I have to work on it in order to live a happier life. But somehow making that step to truly choose recovery and heal is still so hard for me. It’s hard to let the depression go 😔 But I’m going to try to implement the habit of being kind and loving to myself ❤️ thankyou for this video!!💗
It made me so peaceful. I feel that don't want to go go go go and implement these habits and forgot about it a week later. This video made me feel that I want to take one habit at a time and be consistent with it and build up on that. Inspiration and motivation is great but this peacefulness that I feel is much more wonderful.
Something that resonated with point 8, at least for me, is that I came to the realization that it is not just not being hard on myself but actively trying to treat myself as someone I care about and the most important part about that for me was making amends with myself. I have chronic depression and for very long periods of my life I stopped taking care of myself completely and by that I mean I didn't shower, I didn't eat, I didn't brush my teeth, I barely moved (from my bed to my home office and that was it) and now that I am getting better, I sort of found out that I was hopeless about myself. I didn't think I was able to get better because I had done me wrong many times! (Depression is a mental illness but it makes you kind of turn yourself against you). What clicked was that point I made about making amends. I always tried to remind myself that everything I did came from dark moments and that I forgived myself. But, if you think about anyone else, you don't just say sorry; you show it, you try to make things different in order to show that person that you cared about them and that you are sorry about what you did. So I started doing that. Everyday I take some time to practice my selfcare wild cards (I have 7 and so I do one each day) to show myself that I really care, that I really want to put in the effort like taking an extra shower that day that is super relaxing (sort of to make up for the ones I didn't take) or like doing something on my nails like filling them or giving myself a mani, or taking time to prepare a delicious meal from scratch to show myself love in that way. Anyways, I think you get the point. Basically... forgive yourself AND make amends with yourself in any way you can!

Hi Aileen, I really like every one of your videos, I find them to be insightful, impairing and functional. One of the habits I used to practice in my teenage years was to journal and then I stop because of a breach of privacy coming from my siblings. However, it resonated with me that you journal to express your emotions and that made me feel motivated to journal again, especially because I discovered I tend to suppress my emotions. Thanks a lot for your inspiration :P
When she said be gentle on yourself my eyes welled up and couldn't control. For these days I've been wondering am I doing enough. Am i working in my job. Iam not performing anything at my job. It's very monotonous life. And Im scared of taking the credits for my work. It feels burdened and scary that i may perform badly and they'll call me that im not improving. Why aren’t more people conscious and respectful like you? No one teaches such important habits or tips about mental health or peace. They take it as given or taught but they forget that human beings aren’t robots or animals but conscious beings that develop with time. Your channel is such a huge treasure and I hope and wish that it will inspire more young people and evolve them into more respectful behavior. I wish to find more people with conscious minds like yours who are wise because sadly they aren’t a lot. I hope that people who are in stressful situations find your channel and discover your precious ideas. No one should feel sad or isolated but embraced and helped. Life is a huge box of surprises and experiences but no one should feel anxious or suffer. I only can say that I never experienced such anger and compassion at the same time towards human kind. Hi Aileen, I really like every one of your videos, I find them to be insightful, impairing and functional. One of the habits I used to practice in my teenage years was to journal and then I stop because of a breach of privacy coming from my siblings. However, it resonated with me that you journal to express your emotions and that made me feel motivated to journal again, especially because I discovered I tend to suppress my emotions. Thanks a lot for your inspiration :P

When she said be gentle on yourself my eyes welled up and couldn't control. For these days I've been wondering am I doing enough. Am i working in my job. Iam not performing anything at my job. It's very monotonous life. And Im scared of taking the credits for my work. It feels burdened and scary that i may perform badly and they'll call me that im not improving. I was lost and losing myself in mindless moments. This video teared me up. Thank you Aileen. 😭😭😭

Why aren’t more people conscious and respectful like you? No one teaches such important habits or tips about mental health or peace. They take it as given or taught but they forget that human beings aren’t robots or animals but conscious beings that develop with time. Your channel is such a huge treasure and I hope and wish that it will inspire more young people and evolve them into more respectful behavior. I wish to find more people with conscious minds like yours who are wise because sadly they aren’t a lot. I hope that people who are in stressful situations find your channel and discover your precious ideas. No one should feel sad or isolated but embraced and helped. Life is a huge box of surprises and experiences but no one should feel anxious or suffer. I only can say that I never experienced such anger and compassion at the same time towards human kind. I am thankful and really released to see health videos like yours.

Hi Aileen! Can you talk about coping mechanism in the next video? I always thought that oversharing or telling my friends about my problems, my feelings is my way to deal with stress and anxiety. But I do feel bad for my friends, 'cause I know they aren't 24/7 mentally stable to hear my stories. So, these days I try to keep my feelings alone .. :(
