I can't imagine myself being away from my family and to live on my own in other country at such young age, you're so brave. and Anna, I'm so so grateful that you started UA-cam! Your videos are entertaining and I learn new things always. So so happy I got to know you as well through UA-cam 💜
Omg I just realised something about my life from your story, you're like my therapist :O I used to sing at a young age and I was constantly performing everywhere and NEVER had any anxiety or shakes, I didn't even know that was a thing! Then one year around primary school I started having stage fright out of nowhere and had severe shakes before going on stage and would ruin most of the songs so I decided to stop singing in front of people altogether and it's probably been more than 20 years now. But from your story I realised that I remember my mum criticising my singing and comparing me to other kids at one point and then I started having this stage fright! Even now I still cannot sing when my mum is around in case of being judged. Now I know why I got stage fright out of nowhere 😤 Asian mums really affect our mental health.
Anna, I don’t know if you’ll read this because it’s been a year since you made this video. I just want you to know that I am so proud of you for sharing this story. I can relate so much to your story and I’m sure many other people can too. You are a special person, so be proud of yourself, and carry on. Take care and I wish you the best for the future. ❤😊
I feel like just talking about your life with others and having that courage of having thousands of people knowing the real you is a huge step for future growth. It took me into my 30's to finally do some work on myself, while being single for these last few years has definitely helped speed up the process, its also tough living alone through these strange times. Keep up the good work and all the best with your new future in Korea.
i can't believe i seat the entire video listening to your life stories. feels like I was there. I understand what u mean when u didnt like awakeness, that sleep is a better state than being awake. well im glad i found u on youtube, that desperate decision really bring goods to a lot of us.
I'm learning English since kindergarten because in my country it's taught to every student and its very important to learn English, otherwise you won't get a good job!! :(
It was a well spent time listening to you and knowing more about you! ❤️ I’m glad you’re happier there! I’ll definitely visit Korea in the near future.. hope to meet you there!
That was almost sitting across from you in a pub (and I would've had a Hoegaarden in a Hoegaarden pint glass). That's a nice little story, with nothing bad-bad -- typical breakups, periods of self-doubt, sometimes over demanding parents, but mostly about growing up, maturing, and with a not terrible end result. Kudos for trying something new/different during covid instead of just pausing or shutting down ambitions. I'm mixed about you deciding to stay in Korea: very understandable, but you're now in much less cosmopolitan environment than the UK. But the Asia-Pacific area in general really gets overlooked by the West outside of food, K-pop, military threats, tech, and bad weather, so you could think about using where you are now as base for some possibly interesting visits.
You are strong woman...despite of all depression and anxiety uve gone tru you are still able to continue living with a lot of positivity...love u from philippines
ah I love seeing Bean. And good for you on staying in Korea, it seems like a logical choice. And good that UA-cam could help you in these times of Covid and lockdowns. I really enjoy your content, whether it's the prank videos on your conservative dad or grandma, or videos about health and fitness or song covers. Your videos have really helped me, I started intermitted fasting, working out regularly and so far i've lost about 6kg. I'm slowly, but steadily working to be healthier and fitter, and most of it is thanks to your videos, so thank you.
i lived alone when i was in college and it was nice but so unbelievably lonely... i moved back home during the pandemic and it was difficult to adjust to suddenly being around my family 24/7 but honestly i don't miss that lonely feeling at all. thank you for sharing your story, it's so inspiring just plain cool :)
Wow thank you for sharing your life story :,) I can’t imagine what it was like to move to a new country at a young age, but it’s beautiful to hear life working in a way we least expect. Also so great to hear about your journey with the violin too. I most definitely had self doubt in areas where I had to excel during puberty.
Moving to America as a child was a journey on its own. It was a struggle to learn English as a secondary language. Those struggles were all worth it when I can order good food XD. Stay safe in these dark times.
I admire you, Anna ❤️🤗❤️! You have been through a lot but you have also developed so much as a person during the challenging young years spent in the UK. You are definitely a very strong young woman, glad you started UA-cam so that you can share your stories with us 🙂. You are doing great, keep up at it 👏!
Hi Anna, Thank you for your honesty and for sharing personal things which takes courage. I appreciate hearing your story, esp. as I feel that I can relate to your experiences (I would be considered a ‘교포’). I also grew up feeling like I wasn’t ever good enough, was always comparing myself to others who were ‘better’ than me… by the time I graduated from music school I think my self worth/confidence was at rock bottom. Btw the first video I saw of you was on the pizza club channel (I think your accent is cool!) Also I watched your videos with you playing violin and I think you play amazingly well, I can see the influence of your Russian teacher in your technique. :)
Heres my life story ( I just wanted to share it) So I was also born in South Korea, Seoul and I was there for 8 years then my parents moved me to new Zealand because they wanted me to have a established life. My parents told me to practice singing, dancing, rapping and playing the piano and guitar well as I didn't want to disobey them or I would get an lecture. I became really fluent in English after an year and I had many friends and new Zealand was really fun! When I became 15 I became an kpop Stan and an army! I visited Korea more then before cuz I went to concerts. Also When I graduated I became a traveller because I loved visiting places. My parents agreed and I went to bunch of country's I've went to 34 countries so far! Now I'm 20 and I can't travel so much cuz of covid but I still went to Korea and I'm still in Korea! So that's my life story!
There's nothing wrong for a Korean to speak perfect English. It's an advantage. (That San Miguel Beer is from the Philippines, glad you enjoyed it). Yes, I finished listening the entire story. Glad I shared 16+ minutes of my time with you Anna!
Thank u soo much for sharing your story! I'm 20 years old and I have depression, anxiety and I can't wear what I want,go where I want and eat what I want. I want to run away from home. My family made me very sick that I couldn't even finish the school and I just lost everything. They are strict and I'm not religious and I had a boyfriend..my heart and emotions got hurt more and I want move out and run away. I don't want to stand there anymore.
It was like listening to a friend. I really hope you're doing much better, i just know you're genuine and such a good person. I also hope you don't let anything bad get in your way💜
Broke my heart you sharing your relationship with your mom. I have a daughter about your age and I cant imagine doing that to her or to any of my children. Youre brave sharing your experience. 💕
Greetings! I'm Greg in America. What an encouragement and challenge you are. I think you are a natural relating to people and just communicating your heart. I admit you are so pleasant and engaging to listen to. I also admit you are a typical, beautiful Asian woman. Your eyes and smile make your face shine with radiance. Your personal story is great with perseverance and determination and commitment. I think you have a heart of love and sensitivity. Obviously, as you already said, be so careful with relationships. From your heart and warmth of spirit, you have so much to give to someone "special" in your life. Please, take your time. My opinion is -- if you ever do marry, or share your heart with someone like you did, be so careful. You are not obligated or "required" to committ life-long if you feel/sense something is wrong. You are so beautiful and special. For now just keep living your life and enjoying your native land. Keep encouraging and challenging and helping others. Be so very careful who you "connect" with and talk to on UA-cam! Lots of crazy, insensitive, mean ppl out there. But also those who are truly nice and kind. Be careful. My heart goes out to you. I respect and honor you. God bless you. (Sorry so long text)

Another great video Anna, from beginning to end (thumbs up). Kudos for making your decision to stay in Korea! It's a real loss for London, but in life you just have to go with what you feel is best and right for yourself.
I really loved this video Anna! I completely understand how you felt; my parents were tiger parents too and it's detrimental to a child's development! I learned so much about you. ♥

I think we all have those times in life where we just want to stay in bed. I've definitely been there. BUT look how great you're doing with your life. So happy for you Anna (:
You're the first Korean I've ever heard with an accent so close to native English southern accent. Only a few words hint at your roots but very impressive.
Anna thank you for sharing your beautiful life journey story not many people won't share that. But you did and open up your heart and soul. . I can only imagine everyone including myself seeing how difficult and hardship your life have been through.. You been through a lot now it's time to make up your lost time and enjoying every second that count .❤
Hey Anna, I wish you best in Korea! Its so nice to hear you speak so honestly about your life, I think many people will relate to you on some aspects :) and your violin playing is beautiful!
As I'm learning Korean, the subtitles are very useful, and I appreciate that you use simple, slang-less Korean! Keep it coming. Could you talk about how you felt when you went back to Korea? Did you experience reverse culture shock?
A strong person, made stronger by experiences, professionally and socially. May you go from strength to strength, wherever you may be Bloody well done 👍
Thanks for sharing, Anna (Ji-Yun)! I know it's probably not the easiest thing to share your personal life on this type of social media platform. Like I said before, you seem to be getting on well back home and happy so cheers! Kudos to your Filipino beer choice, too!
So happy to hear you made your decision Anna! 😊 I’m sure that was tough but glad you’re picking your best available option. Thanks for the great storytelling!!
Wow, has it really been a year now? You and I had a very similar childhood but instead of music and English it was swimming and Chinese for me. I never took away anything worthwhile from the entire experience other than swimming, which technically I didn't really have to deal with my parents when I was swimming. That form of parenting isn't very helpful. I do remember, around age 16, I became self aware and would get nervous when I competed in swimming. I would get so nervous that it would affect my swimming so much it made it very difficult to better my own time during competitions compared my times during practice. Took me several years but I'm doing good now. Love~ is a very interesting emotion and something I will never fully understand. I actually am still talking to my second ex till this day ✌ hope life has been treating you well.
I love this video of yours....to a few things I could relate. Thank you for sharing your story. I'd be very miserable if you didn't start your youtube....I guess we all find our fav ppl in the right time. I find you the loveliest and the prettiest. You inspire me so much. I think we should all find happiness even though sometimes reality is not perfect...Those times when you wanna sleep for days do nothing....I guess that the difficult times will pass. I m glad that I heard your Korean name,it sounds nice. :) Wishing you all the best. Luck,happiness....everything.

@@anna.lee_jy lol i think you can load part 2 once you finished all your main contents...as far as i am concerned i think that finally staying in your home country is the best feeling ever...also keep close with your papa because you never know when the time is up...every second is precious haha cherio
Congrats on reaching your decision to stay in Korea. It seems like the best choice.
Kudos to you for showing your viewers how it usually goes down at a British Pub! Don't miss spoons!
Seriously thought you were gonna chug the whole glass! LOL 😂
Another great video Anna, from beginning to end (thumbs up). Kudos for making your decision to stay in Korea! It's a real loss for London, but in life you just have to go with what you feel is best and right for yourself.
Glad you feel Happier now that you're back home! Much continued success Ji Yun in anything you do. Cheers ~
I really loved this video Anna! I completely understand how you felt; my parents were tiger parents too and it's detrimental to a child's development! I learned so much about you. ♥
If u back to london
....OLI LONDON .....😵never leave u
That was the most honest and sincere refection on a persons life i have ever seen by a youtuber. .Such are the vicissitudes of life which affect every living being. By a Malaysian subscriber.
Vicissitude! I learned a new word, thank you :p
@@anna.lee_jy I meant it judging by the words, you employed, your demeanor and body language, It was difficult but you decided to address the issue which you need not have addressed at all - res ipsa loquiter, - ( in its literal sense )
nice to hear your story Anna. 😉 always stay positive. stay safe 🙂
I recently found your channel and really loved it. Just want to say thank you for always being so authentic, even about taboo type of topics. Wishing you all the best in your new phase and all the happiness. Borahae
💜
I think we all have those times in life where we just want to stay in bed. I've definitely been there. BUT look how great you're doing with your life. So happy for you Anna (:
Thanks Phillip :)

💜
San Miguel Beer Philippine No 1 beer :) I can understand what you felt .. I myself have been thru bad breakups
This proves your UK accent!
You're the first Korean I've ever heard with an accent so close to native English southern accent. Only a few words hint at your roots but very impressive.
U you've got a new subscriber.. Wohh.. Enjoyed listening to your story..
Anna thank you for sharing your beautiful life journey story
not many people won't share that.
But you did and open up your heart and soul. .
I can only imagine everyone including myself seeing how difficult and hardship your life have been through..
You been through a lot now it's time to make up your lost time and enjoying every second that count .❤
Thank you for sharing this. Absolutely love and adore you and your content. Also love the “lives”. ❤❤❤
Anna, I love your plummy accent!
Good story,u really pretty
I've abstained for nearly 3 weeks and mann, that beer looks so good.
Hey Anna, I wish you best in Korea! Its so nice to hear you speak so honestly about your life, I think many people will relate to you on some aspects :) and your violin playing is beautiful!
I agree with Park Jung, you are good story teller also
I LOVE YOUR ACCEEENNNTTTT
As I'm learning Korean, the subtitles are very useful, and I appreciate that you use simple, slang-less Korean! Keep it coming.
Could you talk about how you felt when you went back to Korea? Did you experience reverse culture shock?
A strong person, made stronger by experiences, professionally and socially. May you go from strength to strength, wherever you may be Bloody well done 👍
Thank you for sharing your story. San Miguel is so helpful in easing the tension. Music and English is indeed written in your genes 🧬 already.
Very helpful! Thank you :)
Thanks for sharing, Anna (Ji-Yun)! I know it's probably not the easiest thing to share your personal life on this type of social media platform. Like I said before, you seem to be getting on well back home and happy so cheers! Kudos to your Filipino beer choice, too!
I loved getting to know you better! Your music boarding school sounds so intense omg
To new old beginnings. Cheers.

You seems like a storyteller❤I love it✨💜
Thank you for telling us about yourself I had fun watching and listening to you
You have the gift of story-telling, without a doubt. A very thorough video..
You’re a amazing person and sorry hear what you had to endure to come out as a stronger and beautiful person and created a new you. All the best.🙏👏👏
I'm sure many people can relate! Thank you for watching :)
머야 ♡ 지금 당장 만나러 달려가고픈 이 영상은~🥺 초딩때 생각난다 ㅋ

I love this video of yours....to a few things I could relate. Thank you for sharing your story. I'd be very miserable if you didn't start your youtube....I guess we all find our fav ppl in the right time. I find you the loveliest and the prettiest. You inspire me so much. I think we should all find happiness even though sometimes reality is not perfect...Those times when you wanna sleep for days do nothing....I guess that the difficult times will pass. I m glad that I heard your Korean name,it sounds nice. :) Wishing you all the best. Luck,happiness....everything.
