While maybe not the best sets, I think we can all appreciate the importance of aesthetics and the elemental outfits definitely hit different there
I just wish the pants for Frostbite were... different. Everything else is 11/10 aesthetic
I wish the set bonus just made it so you did a little more damage with the respective elemental weapons

I feel like the armor sets like these should've gotten a secondary effect of the weather resistance they get a weapon boost from. Even if it's like the final upgraded versions. There're a few armor sets here like that, where I wish they got an additional bonus at the final upgrade, because I don't like having to lose drip or chug elixirs just to do things effectively; the frog suit should've gotten climb bonus and the flight suit should've gotten cold resistance, for example.
I don't have any complaints with how they implemented them. Especially since everything I've seen implies that their damage effect is stronger than even bone weapon proficiency, on top of not needing to use a bone weapon. Having that as a permanent buff as well as weather protection would make it all the easier to do absurd damage for no cost by adding an attack 3 buff on top of that. Not having elemental resist means either taking chip damage for the duration of the battle, or giving up either the set bonus or attack 3 buff, which I'm fine with.
@@Aderon I do have some complaints because I'll default to the Barbarian or of the Wild armor which works on all weather types. And you don't need to upgrade 3 separate armors to have the bonus.
@@biohead66 I guess different things appeal to different players. I like the idea of each individual weather set needing to be upgraded separately because it's an investment into a particular situation. While the wild set or barbarian set are nice, their functions as a whole are predicated on their universality.
I think that one of the greatest changes they have made is the diversity in armor sets which provide specific 'strong' bonuses like the Glide suit, Froggy suit, and Glow suit which are effective specifically within their intended use, rather than just being 'strong' overall.
@@Aderon Completely agree about the "Utility" sets(like Glider,Miner etc) but this one just does more damage under certain weather conditions. that's why I kind of ignored them. I'll level them up eventually when there's nothing else to do in the game.
I only just realized today while playing that these sets do nothing for weather resistance 😭 I’d been wearing the Naydra top in Hebra since I got it and it’s done nothing to protect me

i kinda wish there was a layered armor option like in Monster Hunter. you freely change around the armor you want for its effects underneath, but on top is always the armor that you actually want to see for aesthetic purposes. form AND function :)
This!! It’s the same in Hogwarts Legacy and it’s so nice. I’m sad you can’t do it in this game bc I always want Link’s hair down and it’s just not possible for the stat boosts armor provides

I WAS THINKING THE EXACT SAME THING. Terraria has the same, called the “vanity slot” which just overrides the armor texture of whatever you have equipped. so u get the bonus of whatever armor u want with the visual sprite of whatever cosmetic/different armor set you want
Link changes armor too much, I'd forget what I'm wearing if I did this. RPGs can get away with this because you only change your armor when you find something better, and you're not changing it 5 times just to get to a location.
I found the crown of the set randomly which honestly looks sick. I love how the horns glow orange when very hot.

I love the effect, just wish there was a feasible way to use it outside of Death Mountain and Gerudo Desert

These armours do the opposite of what what would make them really useful. Fire damage in areas where monsters are resistant to fire, and ice damage in areas where monsters are resistant to ice... They don't even give you element resistance. 🤦🏾♂️

Between this post and the one above it (for me at least, from @pwojo9776), this gave me an interesting idea: instead of the elemental sets, have a single set called "twinrova" that keeps you hot and lets you do fire damage in cold places, and vice versa keeps you cool and lets you do water / ice damage in hot areas. On top of that, maybe make it dyeable to change the effect combo water/fire, ice/fire, water/electric, ice/electric, etc.
Main issue with this armor set is getting the set bonus means you need to eat to negate the hot weather damage you'd be taking. Same applies to the cold weather counterpart.

In extreme cold, link doesn’t lose health that fast. You can combo the full set with a plus 3 attack boost making the damage double against ice enemies. For those wondering, this does provide higher base damage in cold temperatures.

Is this outfit worth it? If you can only use the ability in hot weather and it doesn’t also protect you from that weather isn’t that counter intuitive?
Yeah the weather attack sets are kinda... not very well thought through, I feel.
I made it a good rule of thumb to buy every butterfly Beedle sells early on because I know at some point I’m going to need it for upgrading armor. Especially smotherwings.

When I first heard of this set I thought it was going to be another "Heat Resist" type set, but I'm glad it didn't. That would have been too redundant. I wasn't even going to bother with this set or the Frostbite set until I found out they may have their uses.

Also you can just ride the rock raft, you don't need to stick them together or do jumping and gust tricks😂

I used this armor set but without the helmet and used the desert vie headband and have a weapon with naydras horn on it so I have a ice attack and a fire attack at the same time

I was hoping it would be a way to stack multiple attack buffs… no base damage increase at all when equipped?
These sets need buffs, the set bonus should just be to have the elemental attack be permanent instead of needing the respective weather, Or have the attack of elemental weapons be increased by 50% or something.
What i want to know is, does the flame attack and the food attack up stack.

Sled shield is great for snow and sand, for everything else the skateboard shield is infinitely better.
I do wish cart/minecart shields didn't take durability damage, though.

my theory is that these armor used to belong to the people who latter turn in to those dragon.

You can use four e deiaty armor from amino to get the sword I tried it and it worked

Hey @austin when you made the video "the most powerful weapon" the one one break away used to kill lynels it had 194 atk, but now that I cleared 3 of the 4 phenomenons I saw one royal guard spear that was non-decayed in that circular structure with a ghost holding the weapon when exploring the darkness, I think that there may have the non decayed version of the claymore too, do you know how the weapons spawn works in the dephts, with that sword we can easily break the 200 dmg mark
The Royal Guard Claymore you speak of, its location is under the Gerudo Canyon Mine in the Depths. Found one spawning on a Ghost with a Royals Guard Claymore base level 39 with Durability +. Mix that with a Silver lynel blade. Honestly, without a doubt the strongest base weapon I’ve seen so far. Seems to me it spawn every blood moon. Coordinates -4068, -0728, -1117.

Cool looking armor, kinda underwelming but is technically a free elemental effect, I think the food would be better
I went to the cave and opened all the chests didn't find the pants but found a bodle that said I have them already but I checked my inventory and didn't have them I think I might have sold them so is there a place to rebuy them ?

I dunno if this was mentioned in the video. I literally got the armor right before this video was uploaded😂 anyway: if you decide to dye the armor in a different color, your hair color will change with the armor as well. (You can even have pink hair).
