- Rough Ferry crossing Cook Strait New Zealand.
I found this old footage, listen to the captains announcement. The ferry is not supposed to cross in seas over 6.0 meters now. This particular trip was 10.5 hours on a trip that normally take 3.5. hours. I understand this is the longest ferry crossing on the cook strait and we ended up sheltering in Clifford bay in 6.0 seas while the storm passed.
Wise decision Captain. I would have been terrified!
Another calm day on the Cook strait
Awesome Steve! 👍
Beautiful
Chuur rough waves down at the cook strait
Great footage!!! Are you the owner of this footage? Is it possible for me to use and upload this footage on my youtube page? I share footage from all kind of activities on our ocean. Cargo ships in the 1960s till now, oil rigs, fishing vessels, inland barge ships, navy, etc. Of course full credit and a link to your UA-cam page will be given when I upload. If you want to talk this through via e-mail, that's also possible. My email is on my youtube page. I'm looking forward to your reply. Kind regards. Thanks!
Hey Steve Lovell, do you have an email address at which we could contact you regarding this video? We would be interested to discuss a license to use this video if this is generally possible? (i.e. via email) 🙂 Cheers, Felix
Whats yours? I don't want to publish it here
