In Car Footage - Demolition Derby - Te-Marua Speedway 1990
"The Valiant Voyage: A Demolition Derby Tale - Featuring the Hurst Family Legacy"
Once upon a time in 1990, in the quaint town of Automotive Shire, the legendary Valiant Voyager, owned by none other than the venerable Hurst family, prepared for its swan song-a Demolition Derby of epic proportions. This trusty sedan had faithfully served the Hurst family through generations, becoming a cherished member of the household with more anecdotes than a seasoned storyteller.
Enter Steve, a daring friend with a twinkle in his eye and a penchant for vehicular adventure. Steve, inspired by the lore of the Hurst family and their Valiant Voyager, declared, "Fear not, for I shall be the valiant captain navigating this steel ship through the tumultuous seas of the derby!"
As the Valiant Voyager, adorned with battle scars and tales of grocery store runs, school pick-ups, and family road trips, rolled onto the arena, it bore witness to a cheering crowd and the legacy it was about to cement. The Hurst family, in all their glory, stood on the sidelines, their faces a mixture of excitement and sentimentality.
The derby commenced, and Steve maneuvered the Valiant Voyager with the finesse of a seasoned helmsman. The car, carrying the spirit of the Hurst family adventures, pirouetted through the chaos, side-swiping opponents with the finesse of a well-executed family vacation plan. The crowd marveled at the unexpected agility of a sedan that had once been the epitome of suburban practicality.
In the stands, the Hurst family watched with bated breath, reminiscing about the countless memories made in and around the Valiant Voyager. Every dent on the car told a story-a tale of spilled ice cream cones, late-night drives to nowhere, and the time the family dog decided the back seat was a perfect napping spot.
As Steve skillfully guided the Valiant Voyager through the demolition derby, the Hurst family beamed with pride, knowing that their beloved car was not just a participant but the star of the show. The announcer's voice echoed through the arena, "And there goes Steve, the valiant captain, navigating the Hurst family legacy straight into the hearts of the audience!"
Alas, as the final curtain fell on the Valiant Voyager's demolition derby performance, it bowed out with the grace and charm that had defined its existence. The Hurst family, standing as a united front, applauded not just a car but a cherished member of the family.
And so, as you witness the Valiant Voyager's triumphant finale on UA-cam, remember the Hurst family and Steve, the valiant captain who steered this magnificent vessel through its last hurrah. A toast to the Hursts, to Steve, and to a car that embodied the essence of family, laughter, and the unexpected joy found in the midst of demolition derby chaos. Ride on, Valiant Voyager, ride on, into the annals of automotive legend, forever a beacon of laughter and love.

Hey Steve Lovell, do you have an email address at which we could contact you regarding this video? We would be interested to discuss a license to use this video if this is generally possible? (i.e. via email) 🙂 Cheers, Felix
Whats yours? I don't want to publish it here
@@SteveLovell_Lovelands Fair enough! Our email is provided on our channels about section! :)
Unbelievable! Nice footage!!! Are you the owner of this footage? Is it possible for me to use and upload this footage on my youtube page? I share footage from all kind of activities on our ocean. Cargo ships in the 1960s till now, oil rigs, fishing vessels, inland barge ships, navy, etc. Of course full credit and a link to your UA-cam page will be given when I upload. If you want to talk this through via e-mail, that's also possible. My email is on my youtube page. I'm looking forward to your reply. Kind regards. Thanks!
Yes you can share this video, all good.
@@SteveLovell_Lovelands many thanks! Just to be clear, I can use your videos and footage of ferry crossings and upload the footage on my own page? While still referring you as the owner and maker of the video of course.
Yep all good with refferal or link to source. Enjoy

Awesome Steve! 👍
why she kept having the weather at stern...The captain must help his ship and passengers...
Awesome 👍
Crepe paper and kindling is all it takes to burn a fire and heat that baby up. Tautoko to miti tereti near the inter islander dock in Picton, you can't see me. A brief reference to John Cena and his chain gang. Pelorous and my Wayne. MnM & 3Pac Xoxo.
That's a severe list! ...
This just popped up lol a bit wet Steve
was a nice day for a stroll
Be great to get the lyrics added. RIP Stevie J. A true RocknRolla!
Wise decision Captain. I would have been terrified!
Far out!
Oi
Worst crossing I was on was when they got 1/3 of the way out of Wellington and then decided to turn back!
@Jon Love Early/Mid 80's and I still remember it vividly. The toilets were swilling in 2 inches of vomit. Mothers holding children to spew over the sides. And metal windows placed over the glass ones. All the fun of the fair there Jon!
@Jon Love Remarkably I wasn't sick. I just focused my eyes on one point and kinda mesmerised myself.
way to go ARAHURA awsome ship to the cook strait rough weather conditions. I am a interislander rail ferry enthusiast, chased many storms for fun on this impressive arahura ship. Arahura was scrapped in 2015 very pleased the interislander done special farewell trips for passengers and crew. The last farewell trip was 4 metre swells. awsome
Those Southern Hemisphere Ferries must be strongly built, that is some seriously rough weather they have to plough through, year in, year out.
Awesome night! Great sounds!
Beautiful
The fuck are they clapping for
Chuur rough waves down at the cook strait
FAVOURITE! I freaken love this song! <3
awesome
OMG
in 2006 the aratere healed over at 50 degrees during a storm
Power Boat she was 1 degree off capscising that day. Every vehicle on board bar one truck with airshocks tipped over and were badly damaged.
i heard of that @@isopath1
Great footage of MMH :). Awesome stuff
who was the silly girl guess what that boy did not love you yes you were his friend but your not his wife and never will be so stop being a cry baby for the parents yes i did feel sorry for them they lost their son it would be horrible to loose your own son they have every to be upset but as for you girl a bit over top
Wow! I just saw an interview of the parents. Thank you for turning such a sad and tragic loss into such a giving act!
If you ever make it to Greymouth I'll be there for sure !
Excellent work chaps ! A great bit of ska there. Love the name too, Huckery Mole, lol !
Yep, certainly felt like it on board. We showed an ex ferry captain who thinks is was over 40 degrees, (apparently they get more stable according to him) have a look at the other clip looking forward and you will see the angle as the boat tipped on the wave, just a fluke we happened to go up top and be filming at that moment. The luggage truck actually fell over blocking the entrance so no vehicles could get of once we berthed
nice video, but she must of went close to capsizing point
