They don't look so bad...all Islands seems to suffer rough seas...the perils of living on one..but the sight and smell and sound of others chundering is really horrible.

The cook strait between the north and sth islands of new zealand is the roughest stretch of water with 2 seas meeting the tasman and Pacific when the winds blow sth west the strait is rough blowing northerly strait is a bit lumpy but good.days when light to no northerly its like a milk pond smooth as.a rough xing is always great shows the men from the boys who is throwing up

There is a bloke on YT who worked for many years on an ERRV in the North Sea..'Bigwavemaster'- A lot of the guys he interviews on those small Rescue ships do say they feel a bit seasick in the mountainous waves when they first get back to their ship after their break.
I don't know if they use anti sickness meds. I definitely would! I get dizzy in a rough sea and when on land again, , still feel as if the room is moving for a day or two afterwards.
