Thank you John Sykes for saving David Coverdale's career.
Absolutely, and how does D.C repay him? With a great big 🖕
Great song. Excellent reaction!!!
It's not all image and hair. These guys guys actually played it night after night. And rocked. The 80s were the end of an era.
The violin 🎻 bow was the word you were trying to say. Nice Reaction i was 20 years old when this song came out, it really got my blood pumping.
GREAT song!!!
This is 80's baby makin music!
John Sykes is a beast. Endless skill. He also used a Boogie Mark 3 amp, which is my favorite amp of all. He sounds HUGE lol.
This guitar tone I chased for a long time.
I hope you keep on reacting way past a million subscribers keep on the journey
Let's just say everything was better in 80s music today can't compeat this band kick ass love the style too
Whitesnake, Rainbow, Gillan, Glenn Hughes, Blackmore's Night, etc belong to the big Deep Purple family of bands.
One of the greatest heavy works ever ...
David Coverdale was great in Deep Purple and his band Whitesnake was one of the best bands of the eighties.
John Sykes rules
I always love your reactions. Youre borh such wonderful people. I always git a Robert Plant vibe from Davids singing. I also loved the influence of these European musicians on American Rock. Some of these guys grew playing Mozart etc and it shows in their guitar playing
Went to see white snake jan 3rd 1988 great live good to see Vivian Campbell joining def leppard. I prefer the earlier 80s whitsnake Micky moody and cozy
One of the things missing from music today is the Epic journey that you felt with 70s and 80s music. This is a great example of a song that was an experience! Even without the video!
I LOVE you guys!!! Your reactions are the best!!! 😁😁😀😀
Kids loved this in America in the 80s. Almost 10 million albums sold.
Yes he’s using a bow normally used to play a violin on guitar. Guitarist Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin is famous for doing that.
And Page did it first.
50 SHADES OF SNAKE
its sad we lost tawny kitaen who passed away 5/7/21 i was so in love with her back in the 80s lol may she R.I.P
The lady in the video was the wife of David Coverdale briefly,
Tawny Kitean is the red-haired beautiful woman in their videos. David Cloverdale was married to her back in the day. She died last year. RIP Tawny.
Even though I have never liked Whitesnake much, it is undeniable that they are one of the most iconic rock bands from 80s, as well as this song. I recommend "Here I go again", probably the only their song I truly love. It is one of those songs that stayed with me and make me happy/nostalgic whenever I hear it.
I've been lucky enough to see them live many times from 1983 until last year, which was probably the last time as David Coverdale's voice is now sadly shot to pieces! But in his heyday he was the perfect front man, very much like our beloved Floor!
This song...and one other are my TOP favorite hard rock songs of all time. The other song is Winger "HEADED FOR A HEARTBREAK" (original video). This song is INCREDIBLE!! Kip Winger is a classically trained musician and his lead guitarist evokes sooo much emotion in the sounds. It's truly incredible, especially the guitar solo at the end of the song. ❤❤❤❤❤
We use to cruise around at night just to listed to this tape. I went thru your reaction history; I just want to suggest some great songs that you seem to have missed....
1) Dire Straits - Industrial Disease
2) Ratt - Wanted Man
3) Blue Murder - Jelly Roll
4) Whitesnake - Slow N' Easy
5) Scorpions - Loving You Sunday Morning
6) L.A. Guns - Never Enough
7) Faster Pussycat - Poison Ivy
8) Cinderella - Bad Seamstress Blues/Falling Apart at the Seams
9) Ozzy Osbourne - Diary of A Madman
10) Winger - Seventeen
First saw these guys in 1980 before they glammed up - they were much better then, although I do like this 🤔
He's a werewolf, talking about the wolf hour, full moon rising and his heart started aching, body started shaking etc, the bit where he's stalking her from behind those fence bars at around waist height POV like he's on all fours and she senses something but then keeps walking is so werewolf like.
Epic song, back in 1987/88 they were huge globally and this track made peoples jaws drop.
Try: Queensryche “Eyes of a Stranger” another epic late 80s metal tune from one of the best concept albums of all time.
Great Reaction guys!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
I still have days I just love listening to White Snake for me their songs had a romantic feel to them
You two are so cute! 😊. The thing Adrian is using on his guitar is a ‘bow’…..and interestingly, although the sound can be produced this way, I understand that Whitesnake used a keyboard….but the gorgeous Dutch guitar player on his knees using the bow is much more dramatic 😉….incidentally, that blonde beauty is 6’7”……
Yes, the bow wasn't used in the original recording with John Sykes, it's just show in the video. Here is probably the earliest playing of a guitar with a bow: ua-cam.com/video/PjOloyVAmgM/v-deo.html
@@Snakehead1964 Thank you! That is really cool!
@Snakehead1964 yes, there are UA-cam videos of John Sykes playing this song recently (in the last 5 -7 years?) with no bow, just his hands.
Shes in for a treat everytime you play this :)
Great job! Check out The Church, Under The Milky Way, and Reptile.
Not 1 but 2 ! sexy ass riffs in one song
It is a bow guitar.
First single from the 1987 self titled album. The song that really got me into the band when I first heard it on the radio.
The woman is the girlfriend (at the time, later wife for 2 years) of lead singer David Coverdale. Her name was Tawny Kitaen. She did several videos for the band. Here I Go Again and Is This Love included. She was also the cover model on the Out of the Cellar album by Ratt. Tawny died in 2021 from heart disease at age 59.
A bow is what the guitarist is using, like violin and cello players normally use.
RIP Tawny
It's American 80s style rock/metal but with a British singer.
its great, but there are lot of non known band slike this nowadays
Why are you fast forwarding
damn i miss the 80s good times lol i was 19 in 1986
