The offset of the log lift to the table's height may seem like a subtle improvement over 1st gen Axis but it is a HUGE benefit to the operator. Great job to the Eastonmade team!! World class!
Well done, those Canadian Ibc totes must be a bit heavier than the ones we have here in the states. Love that you guys are always having fun.
As soon as I seen the other vertical splitter I knew Andrew and the awesome crew at EastonMade would be working on this me go above and beyond to make it happen with all the feedback. lol. All jokes aside, Andrew, you have a great team and listens to the customers/ viewers. Always on a continuous improvement mission with a passion. Hats off to you all, A leader needs the support of a great team who all strive for the same goal. Great job and I definitely will be back to see what you have next. 👍🏻👍🏻
Competition drives innovation, love the improvements!
"Creativity is thinking up new things. Innovation is doing new things." - Theodore Levitt
Regardless of who did it first, it improves you all. The whole industry has to react to keep pace and you guys did. Plus its not like you guys haven't had plenty of Innovation yourself.. as if your competitors are copying you. Good work.
OMG!!!!! 🤩🤩🤩Andrew, we are beyond excited about this upgrade, to say that you have made our day is an understatement. It feels like we won the lottery this morning because we are picking up our new Axis next Monday. I had to call Sandra this morning just to make sure I wasn't dreaming. 😂 I am already imagining all the ways the conveyor is going to improve our workflow from filling multiple totes between running the tractor to filling a small dump trailer without having to move the truck. The floating log lift just makes it that much more likely that we will move the Axis around in the wood yard or possibly even accept some mobile splitting jobs on occasion and the height improvement seems like it will reduce some daily wear and tear on the body. We are Perth bound on the 15th. Can't wait to meet you and the crew! I would love to buy you and the family dinner on Sunday night if you can find the time. Thanks for being awesome, Stace
Those are some great looking upgrades Andrew! The ongoing innovation and refinement of equipment at Eastonmade is really impressive.
Love seeing these upgrades to this machine. I fell in love with the vertical design the first time I used it. Thank you for that! Hats off to Andrew and EastonMade!
The latest version could be called the "Eastonmade Axis - Big Brutus." Nice job!
I have even a few more improvements that could be implemented at no additional manufacturing costs. The log lift improvements are perfection. The swinging conveyor truly is a game changer.
As always Eastonmade build quality is spectacular. The only thing that would make your machines better would be a little S’more engineering. I am willing to move to Perth.
Nice work Andrew, your a class act giving Chris credit for his great equipment, Good Job my friend 👏🪵🇺🇸
I second that Larry! It takes a big man to give his competition credit👊🏻
I like the new modifications, keep up the great work guys!!!
Well that was fast! I figured you would be on this innovation quick😂 Well done Eastonmade!
Man with the swing conveyor…. This is going to be a bundle wood making dream now. Especially for guys filling bags like I’m trying to go to.
Imitation the sincerest form of flattery!!..
Lol yes it is
And I thought it couldn't get any better! Thank you for stopping the log lift at 90 degrees. Saved my chin last time I ran the 12-22 😂
Very nice. Hands down best foot control still!
I can think of two other changes that could improve the Axes. The First I Saw on "One eyed customs" as he made some alterations to the axes that his neighbor Adem has/uses. He wired the on/of switch of the engine to somewhere on top of the backstop of the worktable. That way cutting of the engine in case of a phonecall or an emergency can be done quickly while standing in front of the splitter instead of having to run around the machine. The second improvement I saw at the homemade vertical splitter of the "Allen family firewood" channel. Their machine has some pattern welded on the table under the location where the blade comes down. This reduces the possibility of a piece of firewood kicking out from under the blade into the operator. "one eyed customs" made a non-permananent attachment that could be used to achieve protection from kickout in the same video I mentioned earlier.
Thank you!!!😊
You will see the controls move in the coming months.
@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters awesome!!!
@@OneEyeCustoms I saved your video to move the throttle switch, plans are on the list to get that done O' Great One! Thank you again....sadly my chainsaw blade will not be powder coated...LOL
As a one-legged guy, being able to limit the number of times I get on and off a tractor/skid to move totes, the better. The traversing conveyor is a nice addition.👍
Thats a very valid point
Andrew, competition makes us all better and everyone come out a winner. As usual you listened to suggestions to improve the already awesome Axis.
Can't wait to see what's new from Eastonmade. Tony
Thanks tony. Appreciate the support
Gerry, with this UA-cam video demonstration I was able to see the upgrades I was wanting on the Axis I placed an order for about a week ago. Pleased they will be included. This machine incorporates everything that will make my bundled firewood hobby/enterprise complete. Anxious for the delivery.
hi there nice improvement. a few more an i may have to get one , good show and best to all john
Awesome improvements! I also love the fact that you thought about previous customers and made it to where it will retrofit to the previous gen axis, awesome job EastonMade team!
Fantastic upgrade Andrew, Little things make a huge difference.
Much needed improvement all around. Great explanation on limiting the hydraulic lift height on the log lift. And the swiveling conveyor is also great for transitioning quickly between species if you want to separate them while you split.
Another Homerun from Eastonmade !
Doesn't get any better than this! Amazing!!!!😃
I like the upgrades especially the lift and foot pedal. Excellent quality but I knew that all along. Thank you for sharing.👍
Awesome updates guys. Love the conveyor. Going to fill totes with ease. Where is the Hulk when u need him. lol.
Very nice unit .
Nice improvements, Andrew!
Sweet upgrades! I sure miss the time I had with the Axis!!👍💪👍
Some great improvements Andrew - gotta keep improving and you do. Just keeps getting better. Cheers!
Thanks gp!!!
Very nice Andrew I figured this was coming it looks great. Hats off to your crew
I like the updates! If I start moving my Axis I might be interested in trying to update the log lift. - really like not having to pull a pin and hold the table (I was just thinking how to make a lever to hold it up while disconnecting the pin)
Nice Andrew! It’s a great option to be able to upgrade with a conveyor at a later date.
I’m glad I’m not the only one that my skivies showing at times. 😂
Lol im terrible. Was born with no ass at all hahhaha
Andrew that axis is a very nice machine. Great job with your designs
Thats some nice improvements
Now that is a sweet splitter; 2nd best one in your lineup!!
Beautiful piece of equipment! Great work, couple more years and I'll retire the ol ariens and upgrade to the axis
Nice upgrade! If you really want to make it faster/ more efficient move the conveyor closer to the knife, you dont need all that room between them on the left. Every cut you make you have to stop, grab the wood you split and throw it into the conveyor. If you made it closer then you could just drop it right in similar to the split force/ power split keep up the great work!
I gota agree James sure save a lot of time
Andrew have you ever looked at putting a couple wedges on the left side. It seems like it could speed the axis way up. Save you turning and spinning rounds.😊
For sure. Biggest reason we dont do it is safety
Those empty totes are surprisingly heavy 🤣. Nice work on the upgrades. Marc says we might get to see one of those in a few weeks!! 👍
Hey Mike, just verified that we are getting these improvements on our Axis that we are picking up on the 15th so we will have it along for HFH24 for everyone to check out!
@@FireStartersPremiumFirewood excellent!
Andrew, will you have the new Axis at the show in Richmond?
Yes this exact machine will be there
So if you need a 12-22 and an Ultra (and a few in-between) - why is there no mini Axis - drop the conveyor and log lift, reduce the work surface width, and maybe the guy starting would have a better chance of affording a great splitter for bundle wood. A vertical Ultra - sort-of ??
Not a bad idea at all bill. Split fire came out with a small unit like that.
Split-fire has that at a very affordable price. I am even more impressed Eastonmade beat me to telling you about it.
I'd love to see a diesel motor option and some sort of electric generation off the hydraulics maybe to run lights and a few tools etc.
Jay from Homestead Jay and Todd from Todd's outside again are 2 up and and comers that deserves a little love from you with equipment if you looking for some new blood to share or give equipment to..
Not sure of we will go as far as the diesel, but you will see a huge increase in performance in the coming weeks. I follow both of those guys.
🎉
I'm just curious, why didn't you show the upgrades better on the video? It is a dream of mine to get an axis someday, and I was so excited to see the upgrades a little closer.
Well, i really don't have a great answer for that. I do lose some footage from the drone and my one camera pivoting to the 3rd tote
I would love to see the upgrades up close, I'm sure I will in the future. Thanks for answering my comment. Someday I will get one.🤞🤞
@jeremysmith6863 ill do my best on the next one for you jeremy
Your tha man.
Just an idea for the log lift to make an improvement would be to run it on a wheel so you don't have to remove the pin for transport. Just a thought. You have a point about safety but convenience is lacking is what I'd say. Besides that fact both machines seem to be top notch!
This takes care of pulling a pin. The log lift just floats the same as our other models
My bad I was distracted by the awesome pivoting conveyor and missed that you changed the lift. Awesome job Andrew and team!
Where in Virginia are you all going to be?
Www.exporichmond.com its at 13191 Dawn Blvd, Doswell, VA 23047 this coming friday and saturday
Glad to see this!
But...can the log lift be retrofitted to any previous Axis? THAT would be really sweet! How do I order one?
Yes im sure the log lift can be put on any machine. I will check in the morning and let you know ken
@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters Let me know as well please Andrew please. Mine just fits in my 10 foot door while in the down position as I'm to lazy to unpin the lift when done, and we all know what I'll end up doing. DOH! LOL
hi forgot to ask will the conveyor go up high enough to put wood into those log bags AJ has , they are up pretty high , and where is the VA thing located , thanks john
Yep shouldn't be a problem
Hey Andrew, have you ever tried a 4way wedge on your vertical splitters?
It could probably do it, but i dont like how dangerous it is
Call it the, axis pro
We got something coming up for that in the coming weeks
Do you sell the Eastonmade umbrella for them? I see it has a holder for shade attachment on the wedge frame.
Havent done so yet. Hard to find a good umbrella for a good price
Nice! How much did the price go up??
Same price
Hey Andrew I’ve recently started selling firewood in the Peterborough area thinking of ordering an Eastonmade ultra in the near future I’ve heard that the wait for one of your splitters is about a year is that true
It was last year at this time. We done a lot of work internally to improve our process'. Its about 8 weeks right now
So.. what holds the conveyor at that angle? I see the strap winch but doesn’t seem to be in use. Is the angle adjustable?
Theres a couple of locks to keep it from going down further. This angle moves the wood really well and will fill most bags, totes amd small trailers
I hope you at least asked chris if you could use his design...
He didnt ask to use any of mine 😀
Did they go back to Honda engines or offer it as an option?
No....you wont see us go back. Briggs has been really good to us and have a superior product
@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters I have beat on my Honda for 30 years…she starts every time. I’m sure Briggs are decent engines but Honda is the standard for small engines…IMO. You make some killer products. At this level it’s BMW vs Mercedes Benz…cream of the crop.
Quit that Andrew, you are sounding like an old man. I make those sounds.
Andrew better sign up to gym if you can’t lift aluminum 😮
They are not Aluminum!
Aaaaarrrgggghhh lol
Funny I make that same sound trying to standup straight from tying my boots...
Your website has been down for days now. What gives?
We changed it over to a new provider and updated it. It was back up wednesday afternoon. Check it out and let me know what you think
Great job on the new website!
