Thinking outside of the box, and having been a long time subscriber, I sense Andrew might design and build a grapple. So many great grapples out on the market makes it hard to justify it but then again, Andrew is not one to not take on a challenge. Keep up the great work!

That is a great design. Very similar to one I built from a repurposed hydraulic splitter I had to be able to run on the front of my compact tractor. Prefer the visibility of this style over the straight out beam style. Especially in a compact tractor. You'll sell a bunch of these Andrew, well done!

Hi Andrew, it is Brian (the cheerwine guy from North Carolina) that could really help me in the future with some of the nasty tree svc wood I have seen. First, I have to get the new 12-22 that I just picked up last week working hard. I really appreciate you and your team's creative/ innovative contributions to the industry. It was great to meet you.

Hey Andrew I love the fact you’re always being innovative developing new machines for your business but more importantly for all the wood hounds out there. Last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting a few of your friends in Niagara. Faron and his brother Arthur came to town for their Uncle Orland’s funeral. Orland was the guy that was instrumental in me becoming a wood hound. We cut, split and crushed many Canadians together. I will miss him dearly. Faron was telling me you are planning on bringing over the 40C to his place to run some trials. Certainly hope you make a video of it and him.
    Cheers Woody !!!

Andrew when I purchased my T-870 I purchased a root Rake Grapple with it. The rep expressed to go with a heavier built attachment there were two models available. I went with larger grapple I can pick a heavy log up from the end no problem and stack it up on log bunk. Built strong haven’t tore it up yet. so far I would recommend.

    1. Add some pull cord (string) to that husky.

Ya know I'm just kidding, use what makes ya happy 💪 the new splitter looks awesome, definitely lowers the tipping danger having it left to right and closer to the machine rather than front to back.

Please consider selling a plan with DXF files. Customers like myself could email the files to their local steel supplier and go pick up the laser cut parts, and make in shop. Of course you could sell a hardware package since you would have all the parts in stock or buyer could locally source. I don't think it would compete with your sales but reinforce how popular it will be.

I have one similar for my Toro dingo. 2 things keep this from being perfect for me.
    1. Put a second mounting plate 90 degrees from the current one and closer to the hydraulic cylinder end.
    2. A set of controls so you can use it like a traditional "big box store" wood spliter with the continuous flow function of the machine.
I mostly use mine to break down large rounds small enough to throw onto my "big box store" splitter without hurting my back. Just an idea that I can't get anyone in my area to do because "reasons"

looks like you got smoother with practice, but to me, it's a pick and split machine, which is great for guys who have a lot of big awkward stuff. but best used for getting stuff to manageable pieces and handing off to a splitting table. to that end, I'd say make a cross wedge for it, and find a way to rotate it 180 degrees from the operator's seat, because sometimes that cylinder's going to get in the way.
