Venus Flytrap Facts - Venus Flytrap Care
These videos are very informative. Thank You!
Hi Joel my name is Enoch Alcala you sent me a venus fly trap a few days ago thanks to my cousin Ruben maganya and I just have a few questions. If you sent it to me a few days ago would it need dormancy or not. Some stems are drooping is that from stress or something. Some moss fell in the distilled water is that good or bad . Did you feed them when you shipped it to me because most of the traps are closed well that's all of the questions( please answer I'm desperate)
thanx for the vid., but could you next time record it at 11pm when the scream machines are sleeping ;)
lol, but true!
Do you have a Sundew plant video of how to plant it when you get it in the mail?
Could I use osmosis treated water? That's all I have in my home right now, I just got a plant (vft) yesterday and no clue on how to care for it. Also should I always let it sit in water?
Tell me about your indoor setup
What light you have them under ? What Heat level you keep them in?
What's the humidity of the room ?
It's good to get details
All I know is, you should keep it in normal room temperature.
I ordered My plant a few days ago, but I got 2 that were brown. They looked alive but started to crumble after 2 days. I gave them about the same amount of Distiled water (Water bottle Water) but the moss was soaking wet! I gave it new moss and gave it a little bit less. So far I keep it next to my window in Florida. Please help or explain what wrong please! Thank you, and so far Im enjoying your plants.
Balletpony did you say bottle water like a water bottle we drink from? like Aquafina or voss? those are not distilled water and will kill your plants!
Searching4Sophia No, I had distilled water bu lt it's fine now! I have new and healthy plants!
But I do have a tip! They are very sensitive to The sun, so Make sure to Not put them Right in the sun or they Might burn up! Also Good Russian Assent. (Im Russian And Learning English)
Ty
My package is running late it’s already a few days late can you get it to me today
My Venus fly trap is flowering what should I do
My son had to have one of these so we got yours from Amazon. It's been 5 days and now all traps are closed but 1 and 4 traps are now black. I followed your exact potting instructions and it's in a window so do these just not grow in Colorado? My son is heartbroken :(
don't bother, this guy doesn't respond. don't buy another one from him!
Random Panda they are supposed to grow out doors
dont force feed it.. if the insect is too large it will not be digested and simply rot and then rot the trap. just let them do their own thing..keeping in saucer of rainwater outside in sun, ensuring they never dry out..they are not kids toys..
I get mixed messages from other VFT videos. Some say to have them in shallow water, but others say that this will cause root rot, and others say to water them from the top and keep the moss moist! At the moment, I am watering mine with distilled water from the top and it's doing just fine, but I'm always open to a better way.
To have them in shallow water could POTENTIALLY cause a root rot if the water are too much. So,if you're doing this method, please be careful with your water level. Not to much, but not to little.
Most vids is say they cant be growed in a window sill. Most say they need full sun. So confusing.
Are you using the great value (walmart brand) of distilled water ?
I grow my VFTs (Dionaea) inside and I would rather feed mine dehydrated meal worms or blood worms. Most meal worms I have found are for chickens or birds and seem to have extra nutrients added. Where do you people get your meal worms, or blood worms? Are there special meal worms or blood worms, or will any dehydrated meal worms do?
nightlightabcd you can find both blood worms and meal worms at a pet store
You mentioned strictly tropical countries. What if I live in Miami?
he said tropical. not foreign.
paulgilpin lmaoooo
@@luiul1 lol it was sarcasm
what is that buzzing in video?
his phone
When i got two of my venus fly traps only one of the traps closed, two others were already closed and the rest WONT close, the traps also arent very red, just green
Spotty Sneeky mine did that too it might be a sign of stress
you should never close the traps...also they go red in response to sunlight
Can I use miracle bro for carnivorous plant?
I mean gro
Only two people out of the endless search said that you don't need to cool your plant for dormancy. I really hope it's true, because weather in my country gets extremely cold. I'm really stressed about taking good care of this plant because I heard that it dies for many people in the matter of months =(
I’ve waited a week in a half for the Amazon packets
Thank you love your v d o.(My had got rotten and yellow leaves)
Can I use water from my brita?
Isabella Sibrian no filtered water
Can you use tap water
Appliance World UK no
Davy Green yes
Davy Green if you live in a country with good water
never it contains minerals alien to this plant...rainwater is best.
Only distilled, RO, or rain water, if you want to know more go to flytrap care forums and my people I know from there are very smart, and we will help you with your unanswered flytrap questions 😁👌
Why it is important to never allow the dish to dry out completely?
Because the plant will dry out, this plant requires so much distilled or RO water it's almost unbelievably impossible that it would be still alive, I love my Venus fly trap as well, but I didn't order mine from Joel's carnivorous plants I got mine from somewhere online but it's still thriving and doing perfect, I hope you'll do the same!
With all that water won't the roots rot out? I always thought they were meant to be outdoor plants with full sun light? as that is the way you would find them in the wild. Also if they were kept outside, there would be no reason to feed them, as they would catch their own insects ~ just saying....
Venus fly traps in my country never go dormant because I live in THAILAND
Well if you've watched and LISTENED to the video; you must put them in the fridge to cause dormancy or your plants will eventually die.
Can't he stand still,,,, It's like he is on A boat
