Thanks pal, happened to me once before (same road, check my channel). As far as I understand, it burns mainly the compounds of the brakes, like not the caliper/rotor itself. I'll inspect it (pistons, sliders, pads) prior to the next run but this time with some hard-earned knowledge :)
@@DustinDSM Yes, I've heard about EBC big brakes but I'd just like to experiment a bit further towrads the "driver mod" before changing the calipers (managing braking skillls and cooldown phases). Anyways, I made many mistakes during that video not allowing my brakes to cool down enough before a STEEP downhill run is mainly a driver's fault I guess
@@flenzya compared to all the other companies doing big brake kits unless someone only runs pads and rotors on the stock calibers, wilwood would be the only thing close maybe 100/200 dollars cheaper
Original brake calipers arent going to keep up with fast road driving and over 100bhp more than stock. You need a big brake kit on this car, cooling ducts/deflectors would help too.
@@speedandsounds it is true. The cast calipers cant perform well enough. I have a similar power increase on my focus and big brakes has been one of the best, most necessary mods so far. The efficiency of the braking is the key point; you can brake in shorter distances with less effort at higher speeds. Thats important when the car is accelerating to higher speeds over and over on twisty roads.
@@lastexile1187 Yes it makes perfect sense. It's a steep upgrade for me though yet. In the meantime I'll adjust my braking. I still think I can do a lot more with better driver skill and knowledge of your limits. That said during uphill/more straight runs, the brake are FINE so I'll focus more on those I guess, while testing the limit. Thanks for the feedback
What Pads are those? I only have endless pads and fluid and my brakes can handle such descents and more. Seems to me you ride on the brakes constantly. Try shorter but firmer application, way better for the material and heat management. Otherwise nice one, Gruess
Bluestuff pads. I have uprated brake fluid, braided lines but I still manage to set my front brake on fire two times already during steep fast descents. I'm still experimenting with braking (basically started driving only 3 years ago), on one side I still fear the discs heating up too much and loosing braking power during descents but I also don't really want to brake to close to the limite since it's still a public road. But I guess my biggest mistake was to not wait for the discs to cool down enough before going from the uphill run straight to the steep descent
@@speedandsounds Interesting, but yeah I still think with a different driving style you could 1. manage the heat and 2. be quicker. Obviously still a public road so yes keep safe, stay in your lane :) I would go for cooling duct before a big brake kit. If you upgrade to that one, you still benefit from the cooling, which you are going to need anyway. I am considering a simple duct from Speed-Engineering for example, or a foglight delete with duct
Gotta learn some how 😂. Great driving by the way. Keep bringing more content. Love the Fiesta content. Glad your safe as well.
Thanks pal, more content coming very soon. Yeah, safety first, especially on public B roads ;)
oh no bro hope all is well hope ur safe and the car is okay

@@speedandsounds i run ebc big brake setup on my 2015 st there really good for the low price

@@DustinDSM the ebc bbk is like 2300 euros, how is that a low price?

Let the original brakes alone change to new ones Asap or u will crash i am telling this for your safety
