You know something? Even if Kevin Conroy was still around and doing the voice in most cases, in this show’s case… I kind of would not want it. I really think Hamish has potential, and it suits the new time period and tone to be different to Kevin.
Oh, yeah; Timm and Co. have confirmed this show will be a period piece, set in either the 30s or 40s (I can’t remember which exactly); you can see how even Batman and Alfred don’t have technology like we’re used to…
Bruce Timm has said in the past that he’s never worked on “his” Batman. He said his ideal Batman would be barely human and have little focus on Bruce Wayne. He would be a mysterious creature of the night who doesn’t talk to people, even Alfred. I wonder if this will be the closest we get to the Batman in Timm’s head.
...That kinda sounds awful. Like that sounds like removing the "character" from a character.
@@calvintyler9281 yeah doesn’t sound like there would be a lot of character exploration. I get the feeling it would focus on the other characters and their reactions to Batman
@@dynaguy3 yeah no. The only way I could get behind that is if the story treats Batman like a genuine one man army (if he is one by virtue of not being a typical human Bruce Wayne that's a plus) or like an actual monster with pov being some small time crook who's trying to rise up the ranks without getting to much of Batmans attention. Like a chess game where the minute he's found out he's done so he has to be a villain with a secret identity.
