The most important reason to free Dolly Dolly Dolly is that there is a bug where if you talk to her again and are rude enough to make her polymorph you into an animal you become free to quick travel to waypoints even when in areas were quick travelling is impossible. I haven't tried it myself yet, but I've seen that this can let you skip the final battle with Ketheric/the Apostle of Myrkul entirely. Just quick travel out of the area after cutscene with Duke Ravenguard and the Chosen of the Absolute, take the Road t Baldur's Gate, and the Emperor will somehow get Ketheric's Netherstone for you.
@@mickykaylaa I doubt it. I only learned of the exploit in videos posted within the last week, and there hasn't been a patch or hotfix in months (or a little over one months for a console only patch).
Yesterday I used the Dolly Dolly Dolly exploit to escape the Mind Flayer Colony and proceed to Baldur's Gate without fighting Ketheric Tonight I successfully used Control Undead on the Apostle of Mrykul again (last time with was with a level 14 Oathbreaker Dark Urge and a lucky roll on my first try, this time this time with a level 15 Oathbreaker Minthara and a lot of save scumming), and then used Dolly Dolly Dolly to let me escape from the Mind Flayer Colony. The Apostle did not follow me out at first (or when I used the Teleport Party cantrip from a very useful mod) to bring the rest of my party out of the Mind Flayer Colony, but when I quick travelled to another waypoint he appeared there. I had him follow me to Last Light Inn, to Moonlight Towers, and then to The Road to Baldur's Gate. There the Apostle of Myrkul succumbed to the Shadow Curse, and came back with a lot more hp than he had by the time I successfully took him over. I still managed to kill him before he got to take a turn though. He did not revert to the Ketheric form or drop the Netherstone, but at least now I know that the Emperor will get the Netherstone for me so it doesn't matter.
I dont think the friends cantrip works on spiderman, Ive never seen it come up as an option to cast during this encounter. Maybe because he isnt a humanoid or something?
@@user-wo9jj6ii6t Hmm. Thanks for pointing it out! My apologies if its not actually useful on him. In that case definitely use Enhance Ability to get the Charisma advantage. A lot of classes also get advatange as a situational dialogue bonus.
I'm curious how you got Kar'niss to come by without advancing the Infiltrate Moonrise Tower mission. I stood there for a while and nothing happened, looked up Kar'niss and found the ambush needed to be ready to go before he'd come by.
I've encountered this and I really can't say, because 9/10 ten he shows up without setting the ambush up. Its hard to pinpoint what is triggering him NOT showing up rather than the other way around. Worst case is you can get to Last Light and Deal with Marcus, but I get that it would delay getting the blessing early like described. I will look into it more if I can.
I will GLADLY sacrifice Spiderman each run to avoid holding a stupid lantern.
