I’d do this style in a heartbeat if I could find a stylist to do it! What a cute cut! I could actually have short hair yet, it doesn’t feel like a pixie that lays tight to the head. Styling is a breeze! Bravo Summer…bravo!🙌🏻
I love this style! I have been trying to communicate to my stylists, over many years and different stylists exactly your philosophy. Not precise, but messy cuts that looks "lived in". I hate it when you first get a cut how perfectly neat it looks. It screams, hey I just got my hair cut. And I love what you did under the ear, that sort of wedge you took out! Love that. I will definitely send this to my stylist.
I am absolutely enjoying every second of this video. I am not a stylist just a client that loves the art of the haircut. I so admire a perfectly executed cut That matches the texture of the hair.
Thanks again Summer. After finishing college 6 months ago I have found your channel my go to, for recaps, tips and awesome new methods. You are such a great teacher, I really get your menthods. I was lucky, my college teacher was very much like you. Thanks again 😊 ✂️ 🥰
This is beautiful!! I'm going to attempt this haircut on myself. I have long hair but because I'm 54 I think it's time to cut it. Also I have natural strawberry blonde hair (no gray yet, luckily lol) but I am going to dye it a "runway red" just for something different. At this point in my life I need something drastically different and this haircut is "it"!! Thank you for sharing your wisdom and tricks Summer!! Love from London Ont, Canada. ❤🩹❤🩹❤🩹
I *LOVE* this cut ! 😍 I found a stylist in FL right after I moved here. I told her to do what she wants, the messier the better. I was so happy with the cut she gave me. My hair’s wavy so I didn’t need a blow dryer…. Screech…. Then she moved. 😱 I can’t find anyone in FL who can do this cut. 😢 My hair is a growing out, small pony, mess now. 😭
@@StylesBySummer Especially when you move to a new State, thought you lucked out with a great stylist, get a great haircut, and poof they’re gone. 🤷🏻♀️

Thanks Summer! This was so helpful to see. I like that angle behind the ear. This cut gets so bulky back there. I don't think you over texturize - it's so dependent on the hair type and growth pattern.💜
I love this style. I've had longer hair most of my life. I'm in my 60s now and it's about shoulder length. I'm considering this cut but do most stylists know how to do this?
It's such a fun cut! I think a great way of finding a stylist is when you're out places running errands or out to eat...if you see someone with a similar cut to what you want, ask them who they go to!
In my experience, Ruth, THEY DO NOT. I had one stylist in my 20s who was fab, and I have yet to find anyone who knows how to razor cut. They tell me: "My scissors can do the same thing" - but it is NOWHERE CLOSE. (Thick & wavy hair like mine loves the texture from a razor.) That being said, this stylist KNOWS, and her advice to look for someone with the cut you desire and ask about their stylist is about the only way to go.
Love this cut! I have very fine poker straight but thick hair so I don’t think the cut would work for me but sure would love to be able to wear this cut and style! Awesome job 💕
Which cut is better for thin, fine hair -- this one or a stacked (also called A line) bob? I need some type of bangs for my high forehead. Chynna Phillips Baldwin has similar hair and bone structure. All opinions welcome!
Wow that's was a great video and a gorgeous cut. I have very fine hair so I doubt I could get it too look like that though!! I like the way you explain what you are doing! 🤗
@@StylesBySummer, I would love to see you do some curly cuts and curly hair ideas! And I would love to see a video on how to cut your own curly hair because I’m so sick of bad haircuts and having to have them fixed .
This is such a cute haircut! I love all the messy layers and it looks SO easy to style. I’m going to try out having this haircut in the next couple months, and I hope it turns out great! Also, how would you recommend doing this cut on a client with thin or fine hair? Mine is so thin and flat, and I would love it if my hair was as thick as that mannequin’s ! 😂
Hi Summer, I'm 60 with fine thin hair. My current cut is supposed ro be a short stacked bob but not very stacked. It's grown out and the bottom layer in the back is in that awkard almost mullet looking stage. However I think I might be able to get it to look like this. I wish you hadn't sped up the blow dry so I could get a better handle on what to do. Did you say fine hair may not need to blow dry? Also which product did you suggest at the end for fine hair?
very informative video and thanks for hard work maing the video very helpful ! can please do video victorian Beckham haircut? like how cut 65 degree stack or higher than normal 45 degree! thanks
I love the way this looks on the model head, but with my curly hair, I get really scared whenever hairstylists start doing anything choppy or random or anything that cuts into the layers. I wish I could get haircuts like this though. My hair is just too hard to control when it’s cut like this.
Interesting cut. Every razor and texture cut on my hair makes it look frizzy and, well.....just plain rough. Maybe it's just me not used to having that look on myself.
"... a lot of texture..." that is my wish. But the hairdressers that I go to just 'thin the hair' ... how do we explain to our hairdresser that we want texture and wave? Can you please show the a short haircut for a squarish face?
Would this work for wavy to curly hair? I just turned 50 and I'm looking for a new kind of haircut. right now my hair is shoulder length, but also fine.
Idk if you will still see this, but, could you possibly do this haircut again, but with only using scissors ✂️ work? It would be so awesome to see that version too. Lols 😅

I'm so glad these fun cuts are coming back into style! This is how I learned to do hair back in the day.

She should have recommended someone
I would call this haircut “ The Modern Lisa Rinna “ 😂❤

I think a good point is to know WHEN TO STOP. it’s super easy to make your intended Bixie into a pixie if you get too textured.
The final result looks really amazing ! But, to be honest, I got a little bit confused by the way you cut it...🌹🌺
me to
Me too the complicated sectioning has my head spinning right now. I’m not good at sectioning or partying whatsoever.
The fringe is fantastic!
These are phenomenal changes! I think you’re retired now but these are remarkable transformations.
Thanks! Not fully retired, still have clients that I see. Can't give it up fully!

It really is hard to find an expert hair cutter. Frustrating.
I absolutely love this haircut!! I have baby fine ,thin hair. Would this cut work for me?
Yes , but now a days these people want to charge 200.00 for just a hair cut. Then another 250 for highlights
You are an awesome teacher ❤. Thank you so much!!
Thank you! 😃
Oh my gosh that is such an adorable cut I even love the color on that mannequin it is so pretty it looks like a light Auburn Brown so pretty❤
Thank you so much for this teaching opportunity! Love this style!!
So glad! Thanks for watching!

Hope we get some tips 🤞🙏🌸
Wow that's was a great video and a gorgeous cut. I have very fine hair so I doubt I could get it too look like that though!! I like the way you explain what you are doing! 🤗
You would be surprised! I find fine hair to work great the shorter it is!
Would that cut work on super straight Med fine hair?
I love this cut, you do a really good work, 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
cute, cute, cute!! Love it! Great job!
I have a grown out undercut and I think this cut will be great.
Like you said you don't do razo haircutting, but that's what I would use all over
Razor is not my most preferred method but it does give such a great result for certain cuts!
This is my favourite cut. Is this cut suitable for thick wavy, not curly hair? By the way at that length there will be no more waves.
You did a beautiful job. My hair is too thick and curly for this, wish I could have it.
Thank you! Yes, thick/curly hair can be challenging with this type of cut!

Yay! It was fun to create!

I really like the cut, very sharp. Can I get it with just using scissor, I think so.
You could!
LOVE it!
is it apply to wavy-curl hair?

I like the cut but I would do different techniques I feel would be less time consuming . But really cute cut👍
Would this style look good on a person with a round face?
Very nice it’s like an organized mess
Does a bixie work with thick and wavy hair?
Just perfect ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you...could you also show a pixie and a pixie mullet please..these are styles im trying to acieve for myself...🙏💜🙏
