Best educational vlog on UA-cam. Got my 2000 from Zach. Replaced old JVC on my shelf. Will tell my son since he will ceiling mount in future at his new home.
When you mount a projector to the ceiling, do you put a safety cable on the projector? I’ve hung stage lighting up and anytime a lighting instrument is above anyone’s head, a safety cable is put on the light.
I just purchased one of those mounts. Easy to set up and mount. I need a extension pole to drop my Epson down about twelve inches. Do you know where to purchase one with a male and female end?
Zak I think you should put Chris to work on a project at your house! I love the lighting around that screen. That mount is awesome, love those adjustment control dials. Great instructional video man! Chris was just showin' off pointing out those subs. Love it!
If I have 2 sheets of 5/8 and 25ga hat channel with clips installed. Can I just use say 4 or 5 in screws to hit the studs instead of cutting the drywall to mount the base directly to the studs??
Man I'd really love to pick up one of those projector mounts shown in this video, but when I do a Google search for it, all that comes up are a bunch of suspect looking websites with the same generic product page... I know it's been over a year, but I'm wondering if anybody reading this is had any luck getting one?
I have got to have that mount!! What is the brand and model please? I have the old Sony VPL 295 ES which weighs about 36 pounds if I remember right. The mount I have right now is ok, but it’s a real headache when it comes to making fine adjustments.
Can I wall mount with that one? I have the Epson 5050, chief mount, and used a small length of galvanized pipe and elbow fittings to WALL mount it, because I have 16 foot vaulted/slanted ceilings, so ceiling mounting is not an option. Pleeease get back to me on this, I'd love to purchase the gearbox mount if it's versatile enough for my application, thanks!!
I have the same strong mount with Epson 4050 and it's very Shakey like the mount just can't hold it stiff and I have check every nut and bolt 10 times. Any suggestions out there, it would be much appreciated.
If i were stacking 2 projectors with top inverted for ceiling mount and lower one non-inverted could i still use this mount on the underside of the lower one also attached to a high shelf in a rack? Would be good to align each to screen and each other.
I ordered this mount because I have a 5050, and am in the same situation with needing to mount the projector close to the back wall, but I can’t figure out how you guys were able to slide the projector into the mount with it being so close to the wall. I see that the knobs are backwards. How were you able to do this?
Hi. Is there a way to use this mount if my projector needs to be 33 cm from ceiling? Do it work if my projector doesn’t have lens in the center? Is there any kind of extension or is only for that kind of installation? Thank you.
Dude just said this was EXTREMELY affordable... *Me*- looks up price whilst sipping water *Amazon*- $3958.00 *Me*- shoots a stream of water through the drywall across the room. Affordable for who bruh?!
What’s up guys, Great video... in my basement I was surprised to find iJoist for the ceiling (that was real fun running 6 atmos speakers...not...)..So I don’t have a stud to mount my projector to. And I don’t thing that 1x1 or 1x2 at the bottom if the ijoist is meant for the weight of a projector. I ended up putting a 2x4 between 2 iJoist up above the ceiling drywall but it has never been a good solution b/c when my kids getting to jumping around in the floor above it, my projector shifts (and I too have a thin bezel screen). You mention using 100lb drywall anchors & I think I’m familiar with those but I don’t a single stud to mount to... thoughts? Wished I could post a picture here.
Thanks a lot for this video guys really appreciate it. That is really true about getting stuck with the bottom line being way off: super low on one side (left) and super high on the right side (right) and then started playing with the keystone. I got crazy and started thinking Epson calibrating issues. I am going to buy myself this Universal Fine Adjust ceiling mount from Strong™. This will definitely solve my problem...
Hey do you guys have a showroom in Dallas? I really want a low pressure environment where I can see a bunch of options in one place. Star Power is really pushy.
Something tells me "Zak" is going to look back years from now at his "performance personality" on these videos and cringe! Lol! All kidding aside congratulations on the black diamond screen,it truly is the closest your going to get to "tv quality" picture with a projector!
No light scatter to speak of at all!!! I’m using baffles wrapped in velvet with different angles to keep viewers in each row from seeing scatter on my matte black ceiling. That’s impressive!
That Chief base plate, is much sturdier than that 4 arm system. The Chief base plate should be diy installed, with the Strong mount. That way it would be perfect.
Just curious how long is the room? Very nice screen. I'm in the market for a 110" acoustic screen option. This video has sparked my interest. I have a dedicated room so, taking recommendations on the fabric to use? Canadian Veteran

Best accessory I have seen for an installation of a pro grade home theatre projector.
Do you have a link to it?

I'll be mounting my projector next weekend. I'm excited.
This might be your best vid yet. A++

So where do you get the mount lol

UA-cam doesn't do the image justice I'm sure, but just hearing you and Chris reaction when playing the demo says it all.
yeah. it was a huge improvement . Super happy with it

Great videos, but it would be nice if you could include in your written description room dimensions, distance from screen projector is being mounted.
How do you work it out if a projector is in the center before mounting and screwing
Does this mount works with the DLA-rs520/620 series projectors?
Yes it does.

Are you not worried at all about the projector overheating with the intake fans that close to the wall?
both intake/ outtake are on the front of the unit my man
@@Dreamediaav Sounds like something JVC should implement into there projectors

great video....what does the strong fine adjust mount cost..?
It's probably something just stupid expensive cause you have to ask for a price request!!! Hate that!!!!

$400!!!!!!
its not stupid expensive. we cannot by our dealer agreements mention product prices online. We can tell you price when you call or email

I have a LG HU810PW laser projector and I’m having issues aligning picture. I couldn’t find any reference lines or these patterns.

Will this mount work for older JVC projector? I have the JVC X95R and just want to make sure this will work before I purchase it. Thanks

Hi, what's the reference of this ceiling mount please?
If you have a cheap projector with no lense shift, do you not have much choice but to use keystone?
I ordered one of these mounts from dream media last weekend. Can't wait to try it out.
thanks for the order! we appreciate the support
How much was it? I can't find it on their site. I found it on another site for about $300 after taxes and shipping

Strong™ SM-PROJ-XL
At 14:58 when he says going up, what dial is he shifting?
What best screen
You can tell by the sound that it's an acoustically treated room
Thanks Rich. I did it myself
Can you recommend professional Home theater installer in Upper Marlboro, Maryland?
Has Chris/you stopped smiling about his/your new screen yet? It looks amazing.
nah. its pretty dope. im a huge fan. still fascinated by the ALR improvement
@@Dreamediaav even in the video it looks so dynamic. Just like you described like a giant OLED. can't wait to see it with the JVC projectors.
What was your throw distance with this setup?

technically no.

Hello. where can i find this projector mount? I tried to find it on google but i didnt see it.
Call us. We got you. 877-417-9000
Why do you need more distance for a black diamond screen over a standard screen of the same size? That does not sound right. I love this mount
So you don't get hot spotting from the ALR material.
That Chief base plate, is much sturdier than that 4 arm system. The Chief base plate should be diy installed, with the Strong mount. That way it would be perfect.
Hi, where can I buy the mount from ?
Please contact us at 972-322-4607 or email us at: sales@dreamediaav.com and we would be more than happy to assist you.
What are the differences between the Epson 5050ub and the 6050ub
exact same hardware ,but the 6050 gets the best lenses off the assembly line. other than thats it cosmetic and warranty upgrades
Great video, but still prefer the chief mounts. Sits more flush to the ceiling and very well made.
Well, if the screen is down from the ceiling - hello keystone (issues).
hmmmm not the chief that I had with the epson. it came with a drop down pole. the STRONG FS fine adjust like this one sits much closer to the ceiling
Strong mount looks interesting. Never heard of it. The Chief RPAU when flush mounted looks to be about 1" shallower than the Strong.
Shipping in Canada?
sorry brother, we are US based right now
*thank you for this video, I absolutely LOVE dremedia! I will be getting my entire theater from you guys!*
