Bro, I am not even in the market for a screen or projector but they way you explain things is perfect. Keep up the good work brethren.
@David Mander Yep and you are my son. Go to sleep. Me and mom have plans tonight.
Seriously. I just watched the whole video!
Irk!!??? Im not in the market for one either and I watched the whole video like oooo aaaaaahhh...this dude is awsome
In Modern Living Room Everyone Using "SoundProof Curtains" That Stops Outside Noise by 80% (25 Db) Tested. Check Here: livesoundproof.com/best-soundproof-curtains/
@David Mander BRO, you just typed "your" instead of "you're". You can talk to me about "talking properly" when you learn the basics of the English language.
The amount of information is one thing but the production value of this video is amazing. I can’t imagine the amount of time spent creating it. Well done.
As a former Home theatre installer, I'm ashamed to say that I know installers who don't know the basics of screen and projector setup. I very much appreciate the video and am surprised that some of these companies don't reach out to youtube presenters and hire them as technical reps since much of the training I have received in a variety of disciplines has been lacking in comparison
Holy shit, this is one of the most comprehensive reviews I’ve ever seen, regardless of topic!
Me before watching this: "Yeah, I know a thing or two about projectors."
*watches video*
Me: "I didn't know anything about projectors."
Thanks for this useful info, man! Great video!
Totally agree! I was the same. LOL
my feelings exactly lol
This is the definitive one-stop shop for all screen information! Great video, Chris!
Man, I want to thank you for all the helpful information. You’ve done a GREAT job explaining some of the details of projectors and screens. People like you are what make looking information up on UA-cam worth the effort. Thank you and please don’t stop making these informative videos.
You're the most under-rated guy in the game! I LOVE your videos. Great content, concise, knowledgeable, great teacher, great pace, entertaining, etc. Phenomenal bro. Great video!
Dipping my toe into the home theater realm. Seen a million of these videos. Yours is one of the few I've watched all the way through and looked at your upload playlist. You got great energy and legitimately seem to be enjoying yourself. Well done, sir.
Thank you for breaking it down! I'm looking into turning our bonus room into a theater room in the next year and your videos are a BIG TIME help! There is so much to know and I want to make sure I get it right
WOW! I'm SUPER impressed with the in-depth information and the excellent production. This actually helped me decide to NOT set up a projection TV because it's WAY more involved (and pricey) for me! Thank you, Chris, for taking what had to be LOTS of time to "construct" this amazing production from beginning to end! I'm seriously impressed!
Chris, What a great informative video! Your way of explaining each piece of equipment is outstanding. Thank you
Currently selecting my projector and screen for my new house next year, your channel is so so helpful!
This is a great primer for more than just projection screens. As usual, great work!
I was thinking of a projector for a home theater as we finish our basement. I've read reviews and was going to buy a screen and projector based on the few things I've read. Your videos have been extremely helpful. In fact I've changed course on what I thought would be our best options. You may have saved me a considerable amount of time and money as well. There just isn't enough information given to customers by employees at big box stores or by posters online who may have questionable information and recommendations. Thanks for contributing. Its people like you who make the internet what it was intended to be. A hub for sharing information freely to make life better for all. If I should see you out in the world expect a beer to be put on my tab
You are a God amongst men. Thank you so much for all your hard work on these. This particular video could not have come at a better time. Thanks so much!
Great video. I would like you to make a video which explains how to acoustically treat your room with acoustic panels, bass traps. Budget solutions and their placement and all.
I came here knowing nothing......and now I know everything. You've helped me with my PowerPoint I'm making to my husband on why we need one. You've helped my case immensely with the technical...😅
This was INCREDIBLE. What an amazing tutorial. Brilliant work!
So helpful and comprehensive! Thank you for making this video!
You are such a great teacher... I hope you are able to put your skills to use in whatever you do!
Beautiful Theater setup, Right now i have a unfinished basement and am going to be using your set up as a guide to complete mine just with some of my finishing touches. Very clean i love it.
You stuff has been Insanely helpful in planning my home theatre. Thank you!
Excellent info. Thanks Chris. Everybody loves Chris...LOL.
Excellent info! Editing spot on. Thank you Chris!
Wonderful tutorial! I've learned so much in 13 minutes!!! Thank you!
Great vid man, thanks! That ambi-light set up is sick too!
Great skill explaining and visualizing exactly what you’re talking about. Very well done video!
Great video, and very informative. I quibble with the idea that most movies are 2.35:1. In theaters, movies are a mix of 2:35:1 and 1.85:1. In the past couple of months I've watched Alien, which is 2.35; Aliens, which is 1.85; and The Wizard of Oz, which is a nearly square 1.33:1. For me a 16:9 screen is the best compromise for a projector screen, even for movies.
You are awesome. i listen to your videos even when I'm not that interested in the subject. Keep up the good work.
Hey this is a really amazing video. I've been planning for a while now for a projector and plan to get started this month and this video was very helpful, informative, direct, etc.
Thanks for taking the time and effort to produce this..as usual informative and well presented 👍👍
New favorite go to channel for all my home theater questions. 💯

Honestly, super video man, straight to the point and some really useful information here... I'm exactly in this situation so I'll probably watch this video a couple of times during the few months ;)
Thanks Chris
Great info & well-paced. Thanks so much mate.
Thank you! I'm a designer and requests from a projector have been common, really helpful!
Answering questions I didn't even think to ask. Thanks, man!
Thank you for making this explanation so thorough.
Beautifully explained and well made. Kudos mate.
Absolutely awesome video, soo much stuff I didn´t even know I didn´t know in here. Thanks!
I’m on my 2nd projector setup... I went from a ceiling mount BenQ 1080P matched to a motorized and tensioned 100” screen to a Optoma Ultra short throw 1080p matched to a 92” screen at my new house. I almost Have a complete 7.2 surround sound completed. I do have LED kit and I added a few DJ lights for a amazing light show when I listen to music!
Great detailed video bro. Subscribed.
Beautiful setup. Awesome explanations
Outstanding video, keep up the good work!
This was a great video. If you ever revisit the topic, maybe cover black screens as well! We custom built a 45”x80” frame with black projector fabric from Rose Brand. We tried out two blacks and a gray, and ended up with Boost 122 IFR. It’s a bit wooly, like duvatyn, but it gave us an analog dithering that renders everything very film-like, and is super ALR for daytime viewing.
great video bro, everything in a nutshell. Thank you so much
Thank you so much, you earned yourself a like and a sub, btw your editing is amazing!
Great job explaining all that! Thank you!
Hey man, thanks for doing this video! I'm new to the projector world and this was super educational.
Excellent presentation. Thanks.
BenQ HT2050. Nice! I've had this projector for 4 years now and the picture still blows me away.

I can't afford any of this stuff, but I'm watching because your videos are so nicely presented and informative. Keep killing it.
Chris, great vids helping me a lot.
Excellent video as always, great information for anyone thinking about getting a projector. I have a 100 inch manual pull down screen because I couldn't decide on a motorized 120 inch screen, it was supposed to be temporary but I'm 2 years in now
Still have it?
What brand is it?
Splendid well done 👏🏼 👍🏼

Same here are you going with 16:9 or 2.35?

@@segelburgess2136 16:9 as well
Great points and info!
Wow, you are the god of home theater knowledge! Thanks!
It's a great video and awesome explanation in detail.
I love that edge light.
A Definite subscribe worthy review! Thank you Soo Much my friend
Helpful. Thank you!
You're awesome man, thank you!
you make this video at the perfect time thanks so much!
Great video! 🙏🏻
I dont know you Chris. I never heard about you. But I am an upcoming projector owner, and the fact that during my research I see this video uploaded 7 hours ago is both creepy, yet amazing. Fresh information is the best. Though this video just kind of convinced me that I'm fine using my freshly painted smooth white wall. Though maybe I'll need to turn down brightness because a pitch black room becomes well lit when the projector is running.
