@@scottsemone Thankyou. I read that valve on R18 is tappet valve instead of shim valve, so you do not need to take camshaft off, measure the thickness, and visit your local dealership. However, you do need to jack up the rear wheel to do this job. Thank you again for putting out these videos.
Great video's! Question on your wind deflection. I see you have added the winglets and the lower plastic deflectors from the Transcontinental. I've added the winglets to my bagger as well, great improvement. What is the part number and cost for the lower wind deflectors and what difference do they make?
The cost is approximately $1,300 for all painted parts; use the following link to a parts list and paint code if you go with unpainted parts ($550): www.r18forums.com/threads/transcontinental-wind-deflectors-on-bagger.1384/post-20813
Thanks for the series. Will you be doing valve clearance check in the future?
I'd love to post the valve adjustment; however, it might be beyond my scope as I've never performed it before.

I didn't see the old oil filter gasket, did you remove it before putting on the new filter?
I have the same question !!!!
Yes, sorry.. I thought I was filming the removal of the gasket using a pick. It fell into the drip pan.
@@scottsemone Thanks for your videos, after 20 plus years on Harley, i'm a new owner of R18 Transcontinental, great for maintenance by myself
did you removed the old filter gasket???
Yes, sorry that wasn't clear during the recording of the filter removal
