Technically, pH is a measurement of acidity only.

      Yes, you’re correct.👍🏼

Ph is a measurement of hydrogen ions not acidity that’s the extrapolation

Below 85F to prevent root rot? That's over 29°C. That's too much. Did you misspeak? More like 21°C or 70F seems the temperature to prevent root rot.

It depends on whether or not you are using H2o2 every 4 days. I have plants well into the high 70s that never get root rot. Even low 80's has been fine in my experience. What were you growing that got root rot at 70 degrees f?!?

@@humblegrowth No. In the video you are saying: Stay below 85F and all is well when it comes to root rot. Maybe you misspoke?

keep water below 85 degrees F. I've had water reach 90 and nothing happened, it all depends on certain variables (substrate, available O2, good/bad bacteria, and water temperature). I also say in the video that H2o2 helps prevent root rot right?
So, please answer MY question, in your experience, what have you grown and in what median did you use to get root rot at just 70 degrees? The fact is that Pythium starts to come to life around 85 degrees, so if you are approaching 80-85 degrees, try to lower your water temperature. I don't care what "Google" says, I teach from real life experience. you can also add 3% h2o2 (as I state in the video) to help prevent root rot if you are approaching higher temperatures.
I appreciate you coming to humble growth for information, it seems though that you are overqualified for this beginner information. I mean you are correcting the teacher, perhaps you would find more value in the more advanced hydroponic information that you will find in the School Of Hydroponics. www.hg-hydroponics.com/hydroponicssalespage
