    As a guy, if i ever get to the point where I feel the need to cheat on my SO and I didn't work this out with her before it got there, I deserve to lose any respect as a decent human being from everyone I know. Personally, infidelity is not something I feel should be justified in any way.

      Yes thank you. I’m tired of the excuses like it makes it ok now. No, because we are adults and should be able to act like one or loose all relationships! It’s just a dirty way to live life.

    Sadia once again you have nailed it , this is exactly what happened to me in our relationship, (being a male I completely agree, we need to be asked once in while . Are we ok? Do we need something else ? Are we happy ? I had a very careless wife , who I thought was very attractive, but very frivolous(we only had 1 daughter, I was the sole provider) ,after 25 years . I called it quits … and when I told her all the reasons… she was shocked but still did nothing about it… so now here I am single once more… but with hope in my eyes…🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼I believe you can save many marriages…keep up the great work.God bless.

    Duties!!!!! So basically women irrelevant of being tired, overwhelmed, and hormonal etc have a duty to ‘mother’ a guy who can’t communicate and thinks it’s ok to stray! We need to stop seeing our relationship as being duties, we are not stepford wives. And a lot of the time we as women are expected to turn on like light switches and are don’t get our needs met. If we ask we are told we’re nagging. Relationships are two way!

    3:34 okay so I understand what’s she’s trying to say….However, any healthy adult (woman or man) in a healthy relationship should be able to and feel comfortable to communicate their needs otherwise that relationship is not ever going to work. Because I don’t get how they can justify cheating because they don’t want to “trouble” or hurt the person but then go cheat and hurt them anyways? I just think people sometimes want to avoid difficult conversations and have the easy way out.

      Your thoughts if you have the time: I am dating a decent guy who is to what extent he can be "is into me" and wants to have a monogamous relationship. However, he does not have the ability to stop interrupting, talking over me and ask questions to learn my opinion. Is there a way that I can ignore these few annoying habits and appreciate that he is healthy, does not have dangerous habits and affectionate?

Compared himself to other ppl that I needed for drugs. I now know and accept better in areas of maturity where I knew no better. He has fallen out of love with me. And I agree… men are not good at communicating. So I understand that part. Thats why as a couple you need to be honest and blunt and not get offended. Some women are uncomfortable when talking about sex and also asking their husbands what they like or dont like and the same for women to say what they like or dont like.

    I believe a grown up man will talk to his wife about his needs. I also believe that a grown up woman will not forget his needs after she’s became a mother. They will meet each other half way through. She doesn’t need to mother him asking him if he’s misses sex or wants or because she will be aware of it. They will talk to each other. End of.

    Why do we try to put all these labels on cheating? Men will cheat, women will cheat. End of story. It takes discipline not to stray or a feeling that the person you are with is so high value it isn’t worth it (hence why men tend to remain committed to the younger wife they marry in their old age). Life is hard and unfortunately we are not entitled to anyone’s enduring love even if we read a couple of lines before our family and friends.

    As much as she is trying to help - her advice only applies to couples that live the traditional roles. Why is she claiming a mother is preoccupied with the children and the man goes to football? It is a mutual responsibility and it is exactly because of this kind of point of view and these traditional roles that women are exhausted, depleted, feel left alone and if your cup is empty you cannot fill someone else's cup. A man first has to attend to a woman's emotional and romantic needs before making a list of expectations. Justifying affairs in this way is just confirming men in their wrongdoing and ignorance. I think it is sad that we give platforms to women like this and devalue ourselves as women in this way. It is like saying: "Well she cheated because she found a man that earns more money and spends more money on her and is a better provider so it is justified and understandable"

    • @erikarego1323
      @erikarego1323 2 місяці тому

      She refers to traditional roles because she lives in the Middle East in Dubai . Culture impacts one’s perspective . What makes me uneasy about her perspective is that she mentions that she has a massive fear of abandonment and that fear makes her keep her man in check and prevents him from cheating . That is toxic behaviour in itself . Controlling another person is fear based and leads to codependency

How about she gets her needs met elsewhere... And "it's not personal either"...👺 Congrats let's hope your SO "MODERN AND DON'T TAKE IT PERSONAL" philosophy ends up in a "a lifelong relationship OF commitment, kindness, reciprocity"...
