he was an amazing bushman growing up with him was insane he was so quite
Best line in this video. “All officers held their breath while he unzipped his trousers”.
I’m an Aussie, and I owned a block of land in the macleay valley, and at one stage the police contacted me to have me check my property to see if he’d been there, he hadn’t, but he’d been next door to my neighbor’s house. It was all very serious. A few years later I was given a dog who was always disappearing and running away, so I named him Malcolm, lol he’s still with me and I’m reminded about Malcolm naden daily haha. A classic story and as always very well presented thank you.
Then you should know that the Naden being some great survivalist and bushman is total BS that the media pushed.
Sure you didn't name him after my step dad ?
Poor young ladies 😢! I'm glad the police finally got this horrible man. I hope Chuck the dog has many loving hugs and treats for being such a good boy 💖!
Malcolm seemed to be one of the most illusive criminals in Australia, and made the police look foolish. However the longest rope have an end.
Absolutely correct.A very calculated and dangerous man.
Very evil and psychotic. Spying on people and just being evil after killing two women. He’s horrifying.
*Elusive* not illusive.
Look into Gino and Mark Stucco, they evaded Aussie police for 8 years and became compared to bushrangers and were even helped by Australian's to hide them..
Unfortunately not true, most criminals do not get caught.
Your stories are never too long. You're a great storyteller. Thank you.
Thank you! 🫡

Malcolm proved to be quite the survivalist to remain at large for that length of time. He is where he belongs but God help the police if he ever broke out of prison.I didn't even find this story long. It was so interesting that time flew by. Thank you Adrian for another great story from down under and say hi to Nero for me.
He wasn’t the so called bushman media portrayed he mostly ate and slept in houses backing onto the national park and with such a distance from the shops many homes would have months worth of food stored now he’s very overwieght and on medication so doubt he be running away too fast 😂
He isn’t from Australia…

The last time I heard anything about this case was a 60 Minutes Australia documentary about the search party, how difficult the terrain was and what a huge task it was going to be to find this guy. Thank you for the update and the closure. I didn’t know if he was dead 💀 alive or on the moon.
Yeah he made the police look like fools
@@hankbellamy I am in no way condone his actions but his survival skills (Breaking into houses doesn’t qualify) were impressive although he looked like crap with his clothes like rags when they did happen to bump into him! That was a long time in that wilderness.
Take care.

Respectful-that’s always what I think too!!
@@BSG0005 You can tell that respect is very important to Adrian and it shows in all of his content. It's very important to me personally and the families too I'm sure. Every victim deserves to have their story told properly and respectfully... CHC does just that.
Seriously, I love how respectful he is. No drama/exaggeration in the titles for clickbait, nice calm voice and respectful words - I truly think he's one of the best true crime accounts on UA-cam, if not the best.
Adrian is an absolute gentleman ❤
Very off topic, but I love your username lolol
I cant believe a restaurant made a burger after him and people left food out cause they believed he was being bullied by the cops. How disrespectful towards the victims and the danger of this situations
I actually thought the food was being left out for him, to lure him in and possibly capture him for the bounty? As for the burgers named after him, I think that is reprehensible.
I find it funny that people are still surprised by humans behaving like humans...
No matter if it's the virus or george floyd... people are actually shocked that some people make jokes and don't care.
Didn't took 12 hours for floyd memes to appear. What's so crazy about a burger?
@@chrisakaschulbus4903 I suppose in truth no one is surprised at some of things humans do, however it's still good to point it out. to remind ourselves 'hey, this is not normal, this is not moral, this is not ok'. Lest we grow so used to these things happening that we become numb and forget that in fact, its seriously fucked up. People are gonna behave like shits, and although we know this, we should keep calling them out on it.

God I feel so much for Kristy and Lateesha, how heartbreaking to lose their mothers in such a horrible way, women who desperately loved their children, women who come across as loving, caring and genuine. I hope their families are caring for their children and giving them all the love and support they need whilst keeping their mothers memories alive.
I just want to know why he targeted mothers in particular, it's so damn heartbreaking 😢 what a heartless man, to take mothers away from their children in such a brutal way
@@Lara-xu3ycMaybe was just a coincidence? Most women have kids..
@@Lara-xu3yc he didn’t target mothers. His victims were targets of opportunity. They were in the same house as him, in the same car and were related to him & again, in the same house.
The man could have led a very successful life, had he been surrounded by different people and if he was involved socially with others.
I live within a few kms of where he was caught. He was a bit of a legend for many, many years. It is some of the most intense terrain in the entire country.

Adrian (Coffeehouse Crime) & Mike (Thatchapter) are my favorite two, True Crime story narrators. It's been 3yrs+, subscribed and listening to Adrian (Coffeehouse Crime) Mike (ThatChapter). It's disgusting to hear some people making him a legend, making T-shirts and Burger in his name and supply him food!!! even knowing what he had done. Though the victim may not be their family member, their sister,a mother and a friend, it doesn't give rights to hurt the feelings of the victim family by these people of morons, who made him legend, making T-shirts, naming burger in his name. Why didn't the Police use some kind of heat signatures from the chopper, when they knew or suspect the area he was in?? WOW...7yrs to get this guy?? Maybe there are stupid and disgusting people, who might/may have helped him during this?..that's why it took 7yrs to get him!!?
I’m with you on Adrian and Mike, they never disappoint. It should be a crime with heavy fines to merchandise and make money off maggots who commit crimes. As well as the thick fools that wear it! When I’m in the States , I’ve seen people wearing Charles Manson, Ted Buddy, The Zodiac Killer, etc. T-shirts and jumpers! I always get a gut reaction to sprint over to them and help them meet the person they are displaying. Obviously, I don’t.
i wish Adrian and Mike would collaborate!
And one more mr. Ballen top 3 and then I want to add in unseen watch that
@@Sorchia56I agree with you! Very strange to wear shirts with serial killers, especially the ones who still have live family members who were closely impacted by their crimes. Like, rep a Freddy or Michael Myers shirt or something. It’s just weird..
I think these fools just see it as an anti-cop thing and don't have the empathy to know what they're doing to the families of the victims 😢
My favorite thing about this channel is that you always take the time to really show the personality of the victims and who they were. I can tell that you always feel genuinely sorry for the families and try to do right by them. You are a lot more respectful than some of the true crime channels i’ve seen. I’m curious to know if any of the victim’s families have seen your videos and how they feel about them. Very well done video as always Adrian
He exploits them for financial gain, just like all the other content makers.
Such a tragic story..I pray his victims have found peace. I'm a little confused as to why when they knew he was posted up in that one home.. why did only 2 officers go to the front of the house with no officers posted up in the back? After him being so elusive it seems crazy the place wasn't surrounded. Great work!! Thank u 💕
Agreed. Seems like a no brainer to cover the back.
They weren’t aware he was in that house. The job was reported as a basic break and enter with no indications of an offender still being there.
At that point they should have just sent some of the SF task force in to check. Or at least as you said, cover the back door (If I was a task leader for the search I'd probably have sent at least 10 officers to have all sides covered) that was a major fuck up from them Impo and could have cost 2 officers their lives and possibly more civilians down the line.... I'm just glad he didn't act on his fucked up impulses, as he had previously, when in other people's attics and kill anyone else.... that we know of 😬
Most of these Aussie hits have no back exit and windows only at front… built to protect from elements and hand made. Obviously cops would have a good reason for not watching a back exit … this is probably it .
Shame on the people who helped this guy while on the run
And what will this shame do exactly?
There is a mistrust of police in Australia when it comes to dealing with suspects of indigenous descent and not entirely without good reason. Poorly informed folk might have seen him as a victim.
I love listening to your take on these stories. They bring humanity and empathy to the forefront. That said, chuck wasn't just a good boy. He's one of the bestest boys in Australia, imo.
I just feel horribly for all the families involved and for their communities left behind. In smaller towns like that it’s so much more tight nit and very few degrees of separation between people, there’s always someone who knows the family or friends of those victims directly and the affect it has on community is enormous. I hope the children of both wonderful mothers are doing well ❤❤❤❤
I am an Australian and live fairly close to where this “man” hid for years…sadly some viewed him as a cop evading folk hero…so glad he got caught
If you liked this Aussie story Adrian you should look into the father and son bandits Gino and Mark Stocco they evaded police for 8 years going bush and hiding out on people's rural properties... very interesting story ❤
100% !! Adrian the suggestion by @jessicad83 on Gino and Mark Stocco would be awesome. They travelled across a huge area of Australia. Befriending farmers to gain work, before literally steeling from them. Some farms they burnt down sheds and machinery. Defrauded farmers and l they stole firearms (hid caches all over the state). Shot at police and were eventually found when they returned to a property they had previously been at. When caught, it was discovered they had murdered the farmer when they had initially left that property weeks prior.
Sending love from Australia to you Adrian and Nero.
Thank you for covering this case, there is a big love Ned Kelly here (excluding me) and there seems to be a fascination with those who shirk law in enforcement in the way Malcolm did minus the murders he committed, personally i think criminals are criminals and no infamy should come from that.
This case is just sad for all involved and in the ensuing years all the kids involved have now grown up and i hope they were often tild how wonderful their mothers were and how much they were loved.

I gotta say I'm impressed by how he was able to outmanouver such a large operation against him, all on his own. Sure, he's a cold hearted murderer, but still this is impressive.
The Australian Police, at least some of them, must not have Bloodhounds. Those dogs can track a scent for miles. Naden left evidence at some of the break-ins and camp sites.
@@gortbot7748agreed & also I would surely think they'd have access to helicopters that have those heat-sensing cameras to detect anything alive on the ground. For the large areas they were searching, using that tech & bloodhounds would be the way to go. And just WOW how he made the police look like bumbling idiots, which they probably were.
Weird
@@kimmuckenfuss2284 You obviously don't understand how wild and rough that countryside is and how under-populated. Plenty of wildlife too of considerable size (kangaroos are big) so heat seeking technology is useless in the bush.
The best way to catch a criminal in the bush in Australia is with the use of aborigine trackers - they can track a duck across a lake - but there is a shortage of suitably skilled aborigines in that part of the country.
The notable screwup from the police was not covering the back of the cabin where he escaped out the back door.
He is an indigenous Australian, they were and probably still are experts in the bush. And yes the police were throwing everything at him.
Your videos were always very well produced and put together but there's still an immense evolution since I found your channel a year ago. You keep getting better and better. It's such an enjoyment to watch.

I look forward to your shows! I wish no one had died.. this was one of those episodes that keeps you on the edge of your seat! Thank you for providing all of us with your channel and shows!! Prayers for the victims families.
Adrian your smashing this pal. Honestly it’s amazing to see your channel blow up like this tbh. A subscribed when you had half million so late to the party. It’s always good to see a fellow Brit doing well on UA-cam. Keep it up pal. ✌️
