  • In this video, Nicole Rafiee opens up about a side of OCD many don’t see: the mental compulsions that go unnoticed. While most people associate OCD with physical actions like handwashing or checking locks, Nicole shares how her struggle is more internal - constant mental reviews and obsessive thoughts that take over her day. She recalls the frustration of not realizing she had OCD for years because she didn't fit the stereotypical mold. Plus, she offers advice to anyone feeling the same as she did for years.

I’m an autistics person with OCD since I was a child and it would cause me to have horrible uncontrollable thoughts. As an 8 year old I’d say random things mentally like “if _____ doesn’t happen before ____, then your ____ is going to die.” and it was all day long. Today I am plagued by constant hand washing and food OCD. Thanks so much for making this video. The world needs more ACTUAL ocd stuff!
