Lots of us can't afford helldivers and this games movie universe is why helldivers and many other games exist. This game is what many of us want and actually got
What didn't help was that it was suddenly released. Steam didn't do a big promo, heck I didn't even get the mail from steam that it was out of early access. I bought the Early access on release, enjoyed it for a little bit of time. Decided to come back later with more content, but Helldivers 2 happened. I never returned after me playing it the first time around. I think the marketing team dropped the ball hard here, they should have gone on the offensive so hard with Helldivers 2 being a thing. Yet, it was a rather soft release. When you read the steam forums people been complaining about terrible bugs (no pun intended) that are even persistent on release. Seems like the developers just don't care very much and now that they released the game they have done their legal requirements I suppose and I wouldn't be surprised if they ditch the game within the next 6 months. They could have something great, even with Helldivers 2 around. They could have capitalized on the success of Helldivers 2, instead they did the bare minimum and couldn't even be bothered to optimize the game, remove game breaking bugs, nope, it's "good enough" apparently. A real shame, the game had so much protentional, seems like another case of developers who don't truly care for what they make and just rush it out the door.
Completely agree with you on all points. I found out it came out because I was looking at a list of games coming out in the next two weeks. That's where I saw 1.0 released.

Oh, I agree with much of what you say.
Sadly, this game's MORE expensive. Which is kind of frustrating.
@societycasefiles not if you don't got a ps5 or a pc. When you gotta buy the other platforms then helldivers is 100s of dollars
Plus one subscriber! I bet they can do a Cyberpunk and tune it over time to perfection.
I see what you did there! You used even more words to avoid putting in the “long” game name in the title! Funny!
I have moments :)
