I've ordered my ZS EV Trophy yesterday through Vanarama leasing, gone for a 4yr deal because of the extra long warranty over other manufacturers, got a years free insurance and free Home charger, and £250 cashback because of a black Friday deal, went for white as scratches less noticeable when I hand it back, but the silver paint I viewed at MG Wolverhampton was an amazing finish, and super high metallic content, almost like metal flake.

It would be interesting to test when the rear brake lights activate when using different regen / KERS modes.. This seems to vary quite a bit in different EVs. Just good to know when cars behind will get a warning when slowing down.. Thanks for the vid.

You've got me thinking now. I am about to sign the finance documents on a Tesla Model 3, however after watching this I might be throwing money away. This car impressed me. I don't do big miles so the range is fine. My only problem is that I have no choice but to use the public charging network and there is a Tesla Supercharger about a mile from where I live. I'll have to do some more research on this MG.
@@lexflames I ended up ordering a Tesla Model 3 RWD. The Supercharger network and the tech was a major factor in my decision, also the LFP battery that can be constantly charged up to 100%.
Please can you provide details on how the inbuilt sim within the MG. Your phone communicates with this sim over the mobile network. What is the cost for this service? Valid for life? Can you phone the car?

Thanks Sam - it's been great to see the 'dark' grey colour option on the main screen. The car I drove yesterday had it in 'light' mode which is very bright indeed, and even at night with minimum brightness it was so distracting. It didn't auto-switch either, so I hope there's a setting for that somewhere.
I love everything about it and hope to upgrade from our zs ev but one thing freaks me out … the hideous bong noise is back!! They replaced it with such a pleasant gentle sound with the comfort 2 upgrade and now they’ve gone back to the painful original sound again!! Ahhhh
Admittedly, the bong sound is back. However, it’s not the same as before, it’s quieter, softer and isn’t as trigger happy as the pre-comfort update mk1

Nice video. I just test drove the Trophy connect today but the voice control did not work at all. How did you manage to get it to work? Dealer said it needed to be connected to app to work bit that did not make sense to me. I tried asking open sunroof and nothing happened.
Don't plug the dashcam in the rear view mirror it over heats the ambient light sensor which controls the automatic headlights. I've heard of multiple people running into this issue and requiring a new sensor

Meaning it still bounces along like on a pogo stick? Thats what I found on older model, albeit it was a nice smooth drive I did not like that 'bouncy' much
From what I can see, as you can see in the video, no wireless CarPlay (unless I’m doing it wrong - quite possible) and no sign of any free Amazon music
They no longer come with sunroof’s so that’s not the giveaway, but if you check the battery screen, the LR has the ability to set a charge limit to 80% as it’s recommended not to exceed 80% SOC unless you’re going on a long journey. The battery chemistry of the SR means this isn’t necessary
I aint in no rush to get a ev but there getting better and cheaper by the year.Only concern there aint enough chargers and wont be for years.Update your phone will the app still work.

The voice command is a standard feature of the Trophy Connect (which is a £500 premium over the Trophy - which is physically speaking the same car)

I’ve heard it is Wireless Apple CarPlay and the trophy connect model comes lifetime of ownership Amazon services (music). This was from MGZS forums.

thank you. I have never got a range over 161 so far even on a full 100%. I have not had a luck to go beyond 160 miles so far in the last three weeks

There’s a facelifted MG 5 out in Europe that will likely make its way here this time next year.
