I finally gave in and bought a bunch of stuff from creation club i got the noir penthouse, the sentinel control system, all the weapons, captain cosmos, the donut pack and the nuka-cola workshop and honestly i dont regret it i love it all
Of all of them, I think the Slocum's Joe is probably the most useful. I now use donuts and coffee on all my toons instead of chems. Who needs chems when you're riding on a coffee and sugar high? XD
Oh man, this comment is such a breath of fresh air! I’m enjoying the creation club content too, because hey it’s more fallout and who’d have thought that I’d want more fallout. It’s seems the community’s majority are hellbent on making people feel shitty for enjoying it
Oh my gosh this is fantastic. So much work was put into this mod and it's so beautiful... I was at first going to give my usual 'it's nice but a little overpriced' comment, but no... For me at least, this is absolutely worth it and I can't wait to get paid to pick it up. Heck I'll be starting a new character to fit with the theme. Two things I love are art deco design philosophy and noir sensibility. I certainly don't mind the Blade Runner references, it's one of my favorite movies for the obvious reasons. And I do think it fits well with the concepts of Fallout 4. Synths were partial inspired by Replicants after all. And the designers even include an easter egg of the scene of Deckard and Roy Batty at the end of the movie. The player home is fantastic, the workshop items are beautiful and I like more clean/pre war/restored items in the workshop. There are already plenty of wasteland/scavenged looking stuff between the game and mods. And the quest is of a respectable length. A+ rating on this. I'll give Bethesda credit now... They are really hitting their stride on Creation Club content finally. Thought the bulk of that credit goes to the fantastic mod authors creating for them.
This video and comment are 3 years old. 76 is out, Starfield is announced, and this is STILL worth the price if it's even still available. Hell, I'm just doing a rerun of Fallout 4 cause the world sucks and I may as well get to make believe it's collapsed already and I will buy this if I can fix my issues connecting to creation club. I'm floored by the quality of this.
An explanation of the reason the Institute created the Noir Penthouse could be that teleportation takes too much power, and they of course are quite concerned with conserving power. This is the reason that you build the reactor while doing the Institute line of quests in the first place. I believe Alison mentions the use of power when you talk to her after getting the Molecular Relay installed into your Pipboy.
[SARCASTIC] ⬅ I have a way simpler one. Some Institute scientists watched the series and wanted to have some fun making me to do detective stuff and give the player character this noir penthouse because it's no longer needed. Also Institute is good at building, so they could preserve the building exterior and totally change the interior, up to swapping the elevator shaft with a door
Well.. Since it's the same mod author that made the "Cyber-light appartments" ,"Bygby's appartment" & "Fallshock Appartment" mods , i'm not surprised one bit by the quality of this mod.
A sexy house with awesome new settlement objects, a detective mission with a beautiful detective jacket.. I honestly feel like this creation is worth it especially with all the things you can create and the way it changes the games atmosphere Definitely gonna get this for my detective build
*turns off TV in Charleston condo* "Hey Curie?" "Oui, Monsieur? "We're moving. Get packed." "But I just put all my clothes away! Why would we be....oooooh." "Right?" "I will get my things..."
MrCakeandRice Curie and him moved to the Charlestown player home cause it was a nice place. But after watching this (presumably) on the Tv he turned it off, said they were gonna move and showed the place to Curie.
Oxhorn I agree 100%. I played this creation yesterday and thought that the quest made no sense what so ever. Like the whole Diamond City part and the detective part. You are right, the institute would never store there information above ground or build an above ground safe house. The quest I also thought was very boring. The penthouse does look awesome. And so does the new gun. As always great video!
OMG - I would love to live in such a penthouse. What a great polished mod - absolutely stunnin' EDIT: But I agree that some of the mods just tend to not fit in the story. As a dude who plays games more for the lore, it does frown my eyebrows and leaves an aftertaste of incompletion. Nonetheless, this mod deserves a medal for the effort that was spent in the design of the texture layers.
Am I the only one who just loves playing as a blade runner character? Think about it, synths and replicants are almost the same and the world is already in ruins. You can play as K and be a detective trying to figure out if he's really special or not. It'd be nice to see mods that could help with a rp with this
valentineAirsoft The original quest from Fallout 3 that introduced the idea to the series was supposed to be a Blade Runner reference. That’s kind of the point.
I was disappointed by the story as well. I read Noir and thought it would be more of a detective themed quest. Nick Valentine has always been my favorite companion and I liked the detective cases you were able to do with him. It really seemed like he had more work put into him by Bethesda than other companions. It's a nice home, not $6 nice, but it's still nice. A terrible location both lore wise and general player home wise, I was expecting it to be closer to Cambridge.
You're goddamn right. I like a taste of the older times- Wild West, the age of Noir- the time of gangs-, hell, almost anything sounds better than present- no offense.
I enjoy how OX is polite even when he doesn't like something. He still appreciates the time and effort put into the creation, but can still offer constructive criticism about it.
The creation could have been better if the dead detective was found at the Mass Fusion containment shed since there is already a "blade runner" reference on top of the roof. The terminal could have been placed at Fort Hagen rather than at university point since it already has an institute connection and finally the penthouse would have been better at the top of Hotel Rexford as Goodneighbor is lacking a vanilla player home and the "detective" could have established his reputation there as nick did in diamond city, plus Hotel Rexford is good fit for the Bradbury building in blade runner. Anyway good video, keep it up ox!
Totally in agreement! Thankfully, there is Neon Flats for a Goodneighbor player home. And you know the textures will be awesome, since it's a Creation from the same author!
First Creation Club I am hands down dying to get, and I've not touched Fallout 4 in almost a year. This is making me want to do a full Institute Playthrough, my character inspired by the Detective and seeing the threat that Uncontrolled Synths posses, deciding that he will eradicate those that cannot be controlled with his own two hands. Ye Gods this is just a brilliant Creation, despite the lore issues therein. Easily overlooked.
I didn't see it mentioned in the video, but the person who is credited with the creation of the Penthouse has a VERY similar player home mod (Cyber Light Apartments) available for free on the Nexus: www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24139 The Cyber Light Apartments mod has essentially the same design and lighting right down to the sunken floor and Venetian blinds with god rays streaming through. One would think that for the price being charged and the amazing talents of the creator, there would be less similarities between the Penthouse and free (and much better, IMHO) Cyber Light Apartments. The Penthouse will also conflict with Tales from the Commonwealth. Both mods place NPCs into the same Credit Union interior cell and they are likely to be hostile to each other.
That mod is pretty amateur and definitely not on par with the CC one. Having pristine furnishings next to worn and ugly wood support beams (with light fixtures attached eye-level to the unfinished unpainted beams that don't connect to one another properly) and ceiling lights attached to AC ducts not to mention the hideous exterior. I like the furnishings themselves and the lighting though - guy definitely nails the noir atmosphere in pretty much all his houses.
Another gripe about this is the Early Retirement as a weapon is just a reskinned That Gun wannabe. There a mod that looks more legit, made with careful attention to detail, and is free on the Nexus. www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10669/ Gotta take points away from this creation for minor laziness.
Christian Pena Yeah I know what Noir is, I'm just commenting on how it fits the overlap of oxhorns content. Grasping at straws, I know but that's how such conspiracy theories are formed. P.s. I don't actually think that dimensions are imploding either.
OK, additional comment now that I've watched the whole thing. I love Blade Runner to death, and I really appreciate the *idea* behind the Deckard-esque character, especially knowing (spoiler alert) that he's a replicant, too. I think it's a great homage to the movies, both old and new, and very thematic and well done. However, the *execution* of the idea in a Fallout world takes a lot of liberties with the plot and retcons Coursers to be something they really aren't, as you mentioned. Having said all that, I applaud the mod author for doing something bold and obviously having a ton of fun with it. It's a neat little story, even if it isn't necessarily Fallout lore-friendly.
I was a bit bothered by the story and the location.. But as a huge Blade Runner fan I got a few nice "Ohh clever I see what you did there" the apartment was BEAUTIFUL and I'll definitely be using it in many playthroughs to come. This is the kind of content I'm comfortable paying for but I wish Bethesda held them to a higher lore standard but we could look at this as an optional retcon. Perhaps the Institute "would" have a topside courser. If Bloodmeat08 simply changed the Courser detective to an Institute topside operative(similar to Kellogg) I'd be a little less teeth grind-y. But then again this is the kind of stuff I'm fine paying for. Quests, lore additions, unique outfits and weapons.. I guess my main point is "beggar's cant be choosers"
All Blade Runner homage aside the apartment looks great & so do the new decorations. I haven't checked out your cut criticism video on Noir Penthouse yet but from what you said in the video yeah... It wouldn't make sense for "elite corsours" to have their own safehouse/apartment when they can teleport to & from the Institute plus they don't need rest, they're sythns (I know synths sleep but that's just to blend in with normal folks, coursers though... They're hunters, not sure if sleep is needed for them but I could be wrong). Maybe if someone like Kellogg, who was although a wastelander he for a time was an effective & useful soldier for the Institute before being push into "early retirement", be given such a fancy place to conduct operations then yeah. I can see that, maybe. (I'd doubt Father would ever Grant him a fancy apartment, knowing his feelings towards Kellogg) But all in all. I'm in the middle, I wouldn't mind a new fancy player home to just have for my future playthroughs while I'm the PS4 but I love a good story too (which is why I watch alot of your videos Ox) Though from what I seen it ain't that bad, the mini story is not perfect but it serves it's purpose for the Creation I think. I appreciate the review, I really do. Sorry you payed money for a lame-ish story but good Noir workshop items. For the moment I think I'll hold off on getting this creation. Thanks again Ox.
i would say it can be lore friendly cause teleportation took so much energy they didn't wanna waste it for quick in and outs but thats just an excuse however i think a blade runner style of quest is very fallout like copying media like that and putting a fallout gloss over it just feels right with me
That penthouse just looks like the perfect capsule in time. If someone blindfolded me and opened my eyes to just this penthouse and told me it was a new Fallout DLC, I'd be really excited thinking it's set in the pre-war times through a time machine or maybe a prequel of some sort. It just looks so amazing that it makes me want to try and theme my ACTUAL house as a noir house with how amazing it looks!
i bought the penthouse as soon as i saw it on thursday and it’s my favorite player home i love it so much. i’ve moved out of home plate AND the charleston condo just to live in this little beauty. it’s absolute perfection in my eyes 😍😍
So I recently started playing Fallout 4 again and discovered your channel in the process. I'm just gonna say the way you look into every detail is just dope. Definitely the best Fallout UA-camr. Keep doing what you do man.
Ox, just want to say thanks for the video. I ALSO appreciate the Timestamps, and all the thoroughness & transparency in the description. I've enjoyed all your vids & happily found a few things I'd missed, (EVEN with over 1,200 hours & multiple play-throughs as 2 separate characters), in this game. Bravo, Sir!
I really like this lore around the escaped synths. They escaped, had their minds wiped, and not only do they become terrors to the Commonwealth but they start to remember that they had their personalities deleted. I finished the game with the Railroad, and I really like seeing the bad side of the group. I do question why the detective courser didn't use recall codes and instead decided to fight two well-trained enemies.
There are several things to see and appreciate about this video. - The music when you enter the penthouse. Especially when it sounds like it is aligned with what you are saying. - The poster in the bedroom that says 'Megaton Hair'. I know I want it. - The retro look of an art deco wall sconce stuck to a tree. - The way you kept fawning over the cabinet opening noise. (I love it) *You are entertaining as always!*
none of they story's in the creation club mods have been very well done with the exception of captain cosmos but I do love the appartment and it will be my new player home and I can stop buying home plate that's my thoughts
It's all about the "time line" of some possible and plausible events, which you may have overlooked. The Penthouse was there before our hero was thawed out. Before Shaun was kidnapped. Maybe even predating teleportation. A "holdover" from the previous administration. It was probably first prepped for Kellogg, during his SRB recovery missions, early on in his contract with the Institute. Therefore, I believe that "teleportation" was an innovation after Shaun became Administrator. Afterwards, 20 to 40 years is plenty of time to cave in the entrances and secure them from being located. Dr. Amari's brain scan of Kellogg's remains indicated that he was not privy to teleportation use. He received his orders thru Courser couriers. The Courser you found dead, was probably the one that was suppose to replace Kellogg in locating the runaway synths. He had to blend and gain the trust of the citizens. Therefore it needed a home for appearances and the extended duration necessary. Knowing the BOS was in the area and probably had the tech to triangulate EM transmissions... it was also prudent not to unnecessarily teleport in and out at will.
38:26 "We've never seen any of Doctor Amari's mindwipes fail before." Yes we have, you've actually covered the incident in one of your own videos. The quest is Curie's loyalty quest "Emergent Behavior", and the synth that the mindwipe catastrophically failed on was designated G5-19. The mindwipe left her in a vegetative state. That shows that the mindwipe can in fact fail, and i think it's safe to say that if the process can fail *that* badly, then it could easily leave some residual, repressed memories behind.
I think I have a solution of sorts to your lore problem. I think the Institute was trying something new. Let me explain. The Institute has a lot of enemies. And whenever someone sees or hears about the institute/ synths, they get upset. Sooooo... Mabey they were trying to get multiple places in the commonwealth where the institute could go hide in the wasteland and disguise the corsers so that they can learn how to stay above ground and possibly slowly shape the commonwealth so it can become like pre war( explaining why they made the apartment noir designed )so if case something happens like the institute gets blown up. They can still be the institute without anyone's knowlege. The disguise was probably some sort of test so they could possibly hide peoples identities, like if a institute scientist needed to go somewhere without anyone knowing.
Asif Talpur Telling someone to grow up on the internet and calling them a kid in the same comment is ironic my friend. Why don't you let people enjoy things for once?
Snazzy Feathers I think he was pointing out that the guy hadn't even seen the video yet, and immediately commented about how intense the video was. It may be someone who legitimately gets excited in the first minute of a fallout 4 creation club review, or, it may be someone who just wants attention and that "heart" from Oxhorn, because he generally tends to like comments like these.
Paavan Vyas Yeah I hear you. What he said was still unnecessary. So the comment was made a minute or so after the video was posted. So what? It's like people can't have fun or be excited anymore without someone being mean to them. That's the internet for you though.
He missed the light switches in the apartment. On the walls there are light switches that let you turn on and off the lights. Gotta conserve your energy in the post-apocolypse! I really loved this creation, the only problems *I* had were a small graphical glitch with the water in the commonwealth at night, and the fact the radios were a bit too quiet in the apartment, which may just be a problem with my game/computer. The workshop additions are splendid, though it might have been nice to have something like a grand piano and chessboard as well, if not added into the apartment then at least as workshop items, since I think they'd give some nice atmosphere to the room. I'm indifferent about the trench coat and gun, since they're retextures of the existing items with a legendary effect, but the grip of the gun does look kinda cool I guess. All in all, I'd say it was worth 600 credits.
If I recall correctly, there in fact is one example of a failed mind-wipe in the game (not exactly the same tho, I admit) in Far Harbor Acadia. There was a lady there who was in constant pain after a botched mindwipe.
Oxhorn You are correct. I quickly did some research and it turns out Jule's mindwipe was performed by Faraday, not Dr. Amari. So my apologies, my memory tricked me.
On the grips of 'Early Retirement' the lower of the brass items is the screw holding the grip panel onto the frame, and the upper one is a builder's medallion. If it was a Colt revolver, the upper one would have the Colt 'prancing pony' logo on it. You'll see such a medallion if you look up a photo of a Colt Python with the original grip.
You know what would make this mod absolutely perfect is if they made the mirror in the bathroom a surgery and hairdresser like in the start of the game when you create your character
Dude, you're like the Bob Ross of Fallout. A super soothing voice, which I've actually fallen asleep to. Serves me right for watching UA-cam at four in the morning
I'm a HUGE Blade Runner fan so all the BR references in this make this a must-buy for me. I appreciate the callbacks big and small from PR-15's name to "Burner" to the design of the gun. I agree from a lore perspective this isn't solid, but I love the additions involved.
My thoughts are 1. I got the correlation with blade runner the second I saw the items 2. The story sucks 3. You named parts of the .44 magnum wrong, but I forgive you (That's not a safety, that's how you release the cylinder and extract spent shell casings, also that's a grip, not a stock, a stock is the part that you put against your shoulder when shooting a rifle or shotgun, unless it's an old Colt peacemaker or other old revolvers of the 1800's that had optional stocks, or some of the German pistols of both world wars with removable stocks that also functioned as holsters, sorry for the long comment but I'm what's known as a gun nut and what you said kinda made me cringe)
To me it seems like the Institute would have "Safehouses" but it be a place so nobody sees people teleporting if they want to keep that a secret. - Kellogs own house would be an example of one. But yeah, not sure if they would really dec the place out like they did here. That said I do love the apartment, and I am finding it's general location perfect in my Railroad playthrough since its not to far a walk from Goodneighbor, Railroad HQ, and Diamond City is a pretty straight forward path. I think my criticisms of the actual apartment would be 3 things: 1) There is no cooking crafting station. - I even checked in the Creation kit to see if maybe the the kitchen cabinet is making the stove hard to click, but nope the stove is decoration only. 2) When you enter workshop mode, something happens to the lighting of the place so it becomes much darker, and you can't change it back as far as I am aware. - Which stinks because I wanted to add a Coffee maker from the Slocums Joe CC next to the kitchen, but I can't without ruining the lighting. 3) By default you cannot send a Companion to the apartment, which is just weird.
It's possible that the safe house was a place to repair damaged cousers who have had their Teleportation chips damaged or destroyed. They could go their to repair them
It supports the day/night cycle, which is flipping brilliant. Does it also support the weather? Because I can only imagine how bloody gorgeous this must be with True Storms. Oh, and then you've got the view of the U.S.S. Constitution's current resting place. This mod has got to be worth every penny.
Honestly if they gave us a better new and unique weapon without the penthouse I probably would buy this i mean if it actually was the gun from blade runner I’m sold
You can find both the gun from blade runner and deckards coat with custom meshes on the nexus assuming your on pc. Just search blade runner and you'll find it :)
The Institute would want to keep their Coursers in the Institute, but remember that Allie Filmore said "you don't want to know how much power one use of the teleporter costs". (I know she uses the real name for that, but I can't remember it right now.) Father also mentions that they have had to take actions they don't like to keep the Institute powered. Perhaps one compromise they took was embedding a Courser above ground?
I think the function of having a topside safehouse is for appearances. If one needed to convince someone that you were not a synth and were in fact a regular person, you could take them there and use this as a cover, cementing your backstory and making it all more believable that you are, indeed a real detective (or whatever they case could be with other above ground safehouses). This is probably how the place got bugged. The synth bringing people into "his office," who were secretly railroad spies masquerading as people needing help with simple detective work, but planting when the detective wasn't looking.
Nice video. Wish people would focus more on the bugs when they review these mods. I purchased this on ps4 and noticed a lot of annoying lighting issues, lack of lighboxes stopping light from clipping through walls, floorpieces with gaps at the side, allowing you to see the city below. You'd expect these mistakes from a rookie, but it costs 600 credits. I'm ocd about errors like this, so it kinda pissed me off after considering the price. I hope they get fixed.
Sadly, I spent the credits and it was very glitched. No walls and missing floors in places. The quest was fun and the new outfit. I have used the furnishings in Charlestown Condo. That one was stable and very nice.
Oxhorn you missed the working light switches! In the apartment if you look at the wall you will see light switches which you can activate to turn on or off the lights in the corresponding room.
The penthouse is hands down best looking place in the entire game. During nighttime, this place seems like it isn't even from fallout 4. Imagine the rent with the inflation added.
Cory Dorton ...how? Is it because of the memory wipes? I’m pretty sure the synths gave their consent to that. They just don’t remember giving their consent, because that memory was wiped.
Attention Console players having the issue where the Strange Signal plays no noise, just go the the Campus Law Office. You can skip that part of the quest from there.
Yeah big surprise they're not making more friendly stuff they just want to make money they don't care about lore in the long run so look if it's lore friendly dates a well that's good but at the end of the day they don't really care They are there to make money off these products so if it's interesting and it's useful they are going to sell it and if it goes against the lore they don't care
mdkd99 You don’t get it do you? Of course they need to make money, but there’s ways of doing it. The implementation of creation is the first step of the greedy practices now with 76 let’s see what bs they come out with.
I'm not blind. Most things in the creation club are low effort like the skins, but some creations require more effort like the quest mods and I think it's cool, that some folks try to make cool things in the Creation Club. Fallout 76 is not just a lazy project. If you watch the NoClip Documentary and if you have some knowledge of Game development you can see that quite a lot of work went into making the Game Engine compatible for Multiplayer. The microtransactions sound scary and if I ever buy Fallout 76 (I probably won't since I'm bad in Multiplayer games) I won't support this practice and I think it's a bad direction for Bethesda. I just want to appreciate it, when lots of effort went into a project since I know how much time and effort can go into a project and I want to support that if possible either by donating a few bucks to modders or by buying a creation from them.
Don't forget that there's light switches for every single room in the Noire player home. You should see what those godrays look like with the lights off.
To add what you were saying about the courser, the institute's topside contact is Kellogg. The game goes out of it's way to make it clear that Kellogg is the only topside contact.
I've played around in the Hub building. The idea is that the "Penthouse" door in the Mezzanine lobby is a direct elevator. Now, who wants to roleplay a short walk across a hallway from an elevator to your front door? Thought so, the apartment is the main event. No hallway is going to match it.
Okay so this is why I love Ox, there's four ads in his forty minute video, yet the last video I saw had nine in a twelve minute video. Ox I love you for this man, keep being amazing you handsome bugger you.
The half-arsed lore friendliness i could do without, but the apartment and the workshop items are utterly gorgeous. I could honestly see using them when i get Vault 88 up and running in my next playthrough, now if only someone would reskin some of the vault tile interiors to match.
That's crazy, my radio never played a sound or showed the location on the pipboy. I bought everything in creation club and it took me four days to complete everything. Early retirement was the last mission but I walked around the commonwealth for like three hours, until I decided to look up the mission on Google.
Same here! But i can still get to the coords!? I figured it was just bugged til my next playthrough but if i can forgo that step and just go there then heck... i'll do it! lol.
I don't thinks it's *too* strange for the Courser to have an above-ground base. The terminal entries make it clear he was spending a lot more time on the surface than most other Coursers, and we know Kellogg used both his house in Diamond City and Fort Hagen as bases of operation when he wasn't in the Institute. Given how much the folks at the Institute talk about power shortages and outages, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't have "safehouses" like this scattered around the Commonwealth to be used by operatives on extended leave, so as to prevent unneeded power consumption via the Relay.

Oxhorn your videos are the best no madder what, keep doing what you’re doing, because you’re the best ❣️❣️❣️
Hello
Oxhorn ur amazing
you have convinced me to download this
Oxhor
I think the Noir Penthouse is worth 600 Credits because Tom Seddon really put much effort in creating the textures.
It very much shows. Beautiful.
The Jazz would be the best thing, if you could listen it outside the house.
50% sale right now
It's a victim of the Update. On PC the Penthouse is bugged. Not sure about console.
It seems the bookcase sound effect alone was worth Oxhorn's 600 credits. 😁
Syntaxus Dogmata he was certainly blowing something out at 29:15 haha!
You have to admit though, that this sound very cool and immersive
Syntaxus Dogmata lol
Oh wow, that apartment is just lovely. I´d move in in a jiffy, I´d even put up with the neighborhood.
I got a huge soft spot for the art deco style.
You and me both, I took one look at the pictures of the apartment and said, 'take mah moneh!'
John O ́neil of the year
I'd live with you in it! That apartment is gorgeous! Hold on, just gotta deal with those noisy Super Mutant neighbors... "OI! SHUT UP DOWN THERE!"
I'm with you John, the Art Deco look in there is amazing.
+David Boucher Let the irons do the talkin'
Oooh, LA Noire soundtrack. Beautiful.
Legion Prime probably Tuesday it's his channel he'll post what he wants to post.
I love the LA noire soundtrack too!
saint angel lmao the guy was just asking no need to be hostile
Maybe liberty prime should be the greatest one for this Croatian club and if you turn on liberty prime he will get a new skin
I only noticed that today while rewatching...commenting here instead of making yet another comment to that same effect. 👍
since it's a penthouse, I assume that second floor door was possibly an exclusive elevator.
XD
I wish I was rich or had a job
Same I bought them as soon as I saw them, well worth it.
Oh man, this comment is such a breath of fresh air! I’m enjoying the creation club content too, because hey it’s more fallout and who’d have thought that I’d want more fallout. It’s seems the community’s majority are hellbent on making people feel shitty for enjoying it
I love having an airborne Slocum's Joe on an abandoned airship in the glowing sea. Imagine coming across that!
Oh my gosh this is fantastic. So much work was put into this mod and it's so beautiful... I was at first going to give my usual 'it's nice but a little overpriced' comment, but no... Two things I love are art deco design philosophy and noir sensibility. I certainly don't mind the Blade Runner references, it's one of my favorite movies for the obvious reasons. They are really hitting their stride on Creation Club content finally. Thought the bulk of that credit goes to the fantastic mod authors creating for them.
Cool that you can appreciate effort
It really is very beautiful, and the story is pretty decent for a mod
MDKD how rude
[SARCASTIC] ⬅
I have a way simpler one.
BulletKingIsHere He's trying to fit in okay!? It's not his fault he has anger issues
BulletKingIsHere no, I didn't know. But now I do.
You can use the furniture in Vault 88 since it is a vault with clean and neat furniture
That AI power armor companion is so cool. Liberty primes voice really suites that guy.
"Communism is a temporary setback on the road to freedom." I love liberty prime's style. I could listen to him destroy commies all day.
@@danielalbers8568Liberty Prime talks a lot of shite for a robot who was used to effectively wipe out the last of the capitalists.
A sexy house with awesome new settlement objects, a detective mission with a beautiful detective jacket..
I honestly feel like this creation is worth it especially with all the things you can create and the way it changes the games atmosphere
Definitely gonna get this for my detective build
*turns off TV in Charleston condo* "Hey Curie?"
"Oui, Monsieur?
"We're moving. Get packed."
"But I just put all my clothes away! Why would we be....oooooh."
"Right?"
"I will get my things..."
Wtf?
nice dude, this brightened my day a bit
Explain pls
What a great polished mod - absolutely stunnin'
EDIT: But I agree that some of the mods just tend to not fit in the story.
That’s kind of the point.
why spend money on this penthouse when you can download it as a mod
@@brutusr.8014 PlayStation users can't

Honestly, i'm very disappointed that they didn't bother to make a special model for the "unique" revolver...
Sir Kollin I was hoping that it wpuld be more like 'That Gun' from New Vegas.
KingBoxer119 that is *exactly* what I was hoping for as well
Or the police pistol in 'Dead money'
KingBoxer119 What gun?
thesupersonicstig that gun
Now this is worthy of its price, from unique textures and items to the story itself~
Qualisarphate These are brilliant suggestions!
Under appreciated insight.
Totally in agreement! Thankfully, there is Neon Flats for a Goodneighbor player home. And you know the textures will be awesome, since it's a Creation from the same author!
Oh gosh I thought this was some La Noire video for a second and was like whaaaaaa?
Vampire Emo Boy I was tricked too
Vampire Emo Boy me too
Vampire Emo Boy come on, if you don’t know who’s supposed to be ... it’s clearly Deckard, from blade runner
Me to and for me he hasn’t posted any of those videos for like 3-4 week
First Creation Club I am hands down dying to get, and I've not touched Fallout 4 in almost a year. This is making me want to do a full Institute Playthrough, my character inspired by the Detective and seeing the threat that Uncontrolled Synths posses, deciding that he will eradicate those that cannot be controlled with his own two hands. Ye Gods this is just a brilliant Creation, despite the lore issues therein. Easily overlooked.
I didn't see it mentioned in the video, but the person who is credited with the creation of the Penthouse has a VERY similar player home mod (Cyber Light Apartments) available for free on the Nexus:
www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24139
The Cyber Light Apartments mod has essentially the same design and lighting right down to the sunken floor and Venetian blinds with god rays streaming through.
Ty for this info RRTV, btw your Goodneighbor condo is my favorite home mode, keep up the good work mate!
Red Rocket TV Pretty sure this is primarily aimed at console players. The Creation Club is absolutely pointless for PC.
Chris Schoenthaler yeah but you can mod on console as well
That mod is pretty amateur and definitely not on par with the CC one.
There a mod that looks more legit, made with careful attention to detail, and is free on the Nexus.
www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10669/
Gotta take points away from this creation for minor laziness.
La noire meets fallout 4? This dimension is collapsing in on itself. Oxhorn is collapsing in on himself. IMPLOSION IMMINENT
...you do realize noir is a real style and not just something cooked up to make LA Noire visually interesting, right?
This is exactly how I feel.
Hey dude hold up
We aren't ACTUALLY sure hes a synth... uh I mean replicant
Oh, we're pretty damn sure. XD
I haven't seen it, I skimmed by the warning. Now I'm sad, I don't wanna watch it now.
Movie Deckard has been confirmed as a replicant, book Deckard isn't a replicant.
Man I just love the noir scene ambient jazz and dark moody rooms with that warm feeling lights
(I'd doubt Father would ever Grant him a fancy apartment, knowing his feelings towards Kellogg)
But all in all.
Love that the modified armor workbench resembles the most compact smithing station from Skyrim.
i bought the penthouse as soon as i saw it on thursday and it’s my favorite player home i love it so much. i’ve moved out of home plate AND the charleston condo just to live in this little beauty. it’s absolute perfection in my eyes 😍😍
For me oxhorn is one of the only UA-camrs who as soon as I click on the video I can leave a like because I know the vid is going to be great

The Overseer pip boy skin goes VERY well with the whole aesthetic of this CC mod. This player home has been done really good.

The penthouse apartment is beautiful! I wouldn't mind living there IRL. The attention to detail was insane. Stunning!
Thanks for the video. 💖💖💖
Noir penthouse is definitely worth 6 dollar tree laser pointers, I think I'd call it a steal
A synth detective in diamond city gained peoples trust by helping them. And it is not Nick. What a fantastic "brand new" story.
Finally a worthwhile Creation Club mod! This seems perfect as a player home for an Institute Director playthrough or a detective playthrough!
(I love it)
*You are entertaining as always!*
none of they story's in the creation club mods have been very well done with the exception of captain cosmos but I do love the appartment and it will be my new player home and I can stop buying home plate that's my thoughts
"That Gun" in Fallout New Vegas is actually a copy of the Blade Runner gun... I think they should've just remade it entirely
That Gun! That's the one I was trying to remember. It appeared on Fallou 2, too, or am I misremembering it?
Edison Michael It appeared in Fallout NV. Then again I don't know items from Fallout 2 so it might've
@Isaac Vaughn nice!
@Isaac Vaughn The .223 pistol first appeared in Fallout 1
38:26 "We've never seen any of Doctor Amari's mindwipes fail before." Yes we have, you've actually covered the incident in one of your own videos. The quest is Curie's loyalty quest "Emergent Behavior", and the synth that the mindwipe catastrophically failed on was designated G5-19. The mindwipe left her in a vegetative state. That shows that the mindwipe can in fact fail, and i think it's safe to say that if the process can fail *that* badly, then it could easily leave some residual, repressed memories behind.
They need the penthouse to save power for the Molecular Relay.
Im on the edge of my seat this is so intense
Asif Talpur Telling someone to grow up on the internet and calling them a kid in the same comment is ironic my friend. Why don't you let people enjoy things for once?
No this is Patrick i suppose he want attention of how fanboy he is?
I like the decor. Thanks for showing what we are getting.
I don't think the story is that far out. The Institute are scientists, so conducting an experiment of an undercover Courser isn't too far fetched imo.
If I recall correctly, there in fact is one example of a failed mind-wipe in the game (not exactly the same tho, I admit) in Far Harbor Acadia. There was a lady there who was in constant pain after a botched mindwipe.
Hers was not done by Dr. Amari. If it is done by DIMA or Pinkernton, sure. But Amari has the right tools.
That apartment is amazing! I'd love this furniture in my own place.
28:21 Piper in the background just casually waling into a stair of scaffolding
I’m confused, people are saying that there tons of ads,and some people are saying there are no ads. I have no ads so I don’t know what’s going on.
The Living Space in the apartment looks like a good place to enjoy a good smoke, and a snifter of brandy.
God, that bathroom was gorgeous.
Needs a toilet though.
I'm a HUGE Blade Runner fan so all the BR references in this make this a must-buy for me. I appreciate the callbacks big and small from PR-15's name to "Burner" to the design of the gun. I agree from a lore perspective this isn't solid, but I love the additions involved.
My thoughts are
1. I got the correlation with blade runner the second I saw the items
2. The story sucks
3. You named parts of the .44 magnum wrong, but I forgive you
(That's not a safety, that's how you release the cylinder and extract spent shell casings, also that's a grip, not a stock, a stock is the part that you put against your shoulder when shooting a rifle or shotgun, unless it's an old Colt peacemaker or other old revolvers of the 1800's that had optional stocks, or some of the German pistols of both world wars with removable stocks that also functioned as holsters, sorry for the long comment but I'm what's known as a gun nut and what you said kinda made me cringe)
Oh and also the home is gourgeous and was that the main menu music from L.A. Noire I heard as well when you first entered
I think my criticisms of the actual apartment would be 3 things:
1) There is no cooking crafting station.
I love this 'mod,' the quest was good, and I like the Penthouse, one of the few creation club mods that I think of getting.
It's possible that the safe house was a place to repair damaged cousers who have had their Teleportation chips damaged or destroyed. They could go their to repair them
Best part of this DLC is finding out a railroad agent died
Cory Dorton killing normal humans for vending machines..They are a lost cause.
Cory Dorton I generally consider the Institute torturing and killing people to be a bad thing.
Chris Schoenthaler I don't like either of them
I really like the railroad and what they do because synth are people
In my play through they never killed anyone except institute members i had peace between all factions by the end
If they reskined That Gun from new Vegas I would buy the creation at full price, I'm just going to wait till its on sale.
You can find both the gun from blade runner and deckards coat with custom meshes on the nexus assuming your on pc. Just search blade runner and you'll find it :)
SticklerTickler I’m pretty sure the Creation Club is primarily for console players. You can do just about anything with the pc version of a game.
If you're on PC, I would highly recommend the M2019 PKD Detective Special.
Without any reflection, that "mirror" looks like an ironing Board
Damn! Best fallout content on youtube hands down
shaad brown tbh
The real question is: can you send Nick Valentine to the noir apartment ?
Now this is content
Sadly, I spent the credits and it was very glitched. No walls and missing floors in places. The quest was fun and the new outfit. I have used the furnishings in Charlestown Condo. That one was stable and very nice.
That’s sad
I just got done watching a mod muster before i saw this on the top of my phone bar
Oxhorn you missed the working light switches! In the apartment if you look at the wall you will see light switches which you can activate to turn on or off the lights in the corresponding room.
This should be free if you bought the season pass
Kingsman references tho.The covert Courser, the luxury apartment, all pay a big respect to kingsman series.
La noir crossover?!
The penthouse is hands down best looking place in the entire game. During nighttime, this place seems like it isn't even from fallout 4.
Imagine the rent with the inflation added.
Please put Creation Club in the description so I don't click on these by mistake.
I love that the music playing in the background of the apartment is the intro theme to L.A Noire.
As you can see the railroad is evil
Cory Dorton ...how? Is it because of the memory wipes? I’m pretty sure the synths gave their consent to that. They just don’t remember giving their consent, because that memory was wiped.
Cory Dorton not evil, just stupid
Destroying the institute is a worthy goal
Cory Dorton na their just typically sjw's, thinking they're making the world a better place while actually fing everything up.
Doesn't matter that I know what it's short for - as a word in itself, "fing" works.
"You truly finged up, my friend"
Attention Console players having the issue where the Strange Signal plays no noise, just go the the Campus Law Office. You can skip that part of the quest from there.
Yeah big surprise they're not making more friendly stuff they just want to make money they don't care about lore in the long run so look if it's lore friendly dates a well that's good but at the end of the day they don't really care They are there to make money off these products so if it's interesting and it's useful they are going to sell it and if it goes against the lore they don't care
Cory Dorton Bethesda only cares about money now. That’s why they made Fallout76 online only so they could sell fortnite style skins.
Yer_Da_ 24/7 They’ll probably require a huge grind to unlock or just pay $4.99 lol It’s all about money these days.
It's a product, so obviously they will sell it yes. That's the goal.
mdkd99 You don’t get it do you?
