I am always impressed with your ingenuity. I'm sitting here thinking "how the hell is he gonna turn a flat disc into a spider? You're truly an artist. Well done.
I was expecting him to sink two half-spheres and weld them together. Would’ve avoided the math. :) It’s not something I have the skills to do, but it can be done.
Thank you for knowing how to balance audio, and for actually doing so. So many "industrial" channels don't even out the audio and I end up giving up on watching the videos just so I don't go insane from having to constantly turn the volume up and down.
I was very pleasantly surprised by what I though would be a boring video. Seeing you build an orb out of a rusty old drum lid was amazing, and then you hand-forged the solid metal legs! The unpainted version was a work of art. It was almost a shame to see you paint it. Thanks for sharing this.
That is just awesome spider!!!! For presentation, decoration or show what you are able to produce by own hand... I could see perfection at many ways by anything what you have made. 👍
Very well thought out & executed. Top marks. Had a grin on my face from start to finish. You also nearly gave me a heart attach at the start btw!!!!..lying in bed, earphones on, half asleep.....and you scream having found the big spider in the woods!!!...I nearly fell out of the bed such was the fright lol.... Wonderful editorial and content. Quite a talent both on front of & behind the camera. Good man. Well done.
Metal work/blacksmithing is in my genes...But,i have to say Torbjorn you have a good eye, some awesome talent and your a pleasure to watch on UA-cam...Thanks for sharing your craft...
Awesome build aside, even just making the dish for dishing the sheet metal was a cool build in and of itself. Wish I could click the thumbs up more than once when there's more than one reason for liking a video!
Damn you! I had to pause on the math page, then google spherical tiling of an icosahedron and learn. A 20 minute video became a 2 hour tour in 3D math. I love you. Now I need to learn a cool craft, create a youtube channel and get famous enough to get an invite to your forge. :D Tack för filmen. Grym spindel!
That is a very clever shears holder you made there. Normally they take up too much space. And the wooden sinking stake... wow! Gotta get me a wood lathe. Very nice work!
Shined up the start of that sphere almost looked like the spheres in the 70's movie Phantasm!! the ones with the drills and spikes. Excellent build good Sir.
So much fun in 19 minutes (our time) and years of fun thinking about it and using it. Amazing build and design of a big'O scary spider. Nice one Torbjorn! Thanks for sharing your fun!
Torbjörn ÅAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHman :3 Beautiful as always. You could have ended it with just making the perfect metal sphere with beautiful math and smithing skills, but the spider himself is just SUPERB. I love the angry little face!! Thank you for another wonderful video, Torbjörn!!
That spider is scary, next project is a spider web and a black fly caught on it, . Most importantly your craftsmanship is second to none. Great job as usual .
Very good job ! I like your proud smile at the end, Hehehe ! It's a lot of work, but it worth it, also, you just built two tools and got experience that you can use in the future. Thanks for sharing !
Wow, what a well done job, I can see the great skill and talent you have in this. The truth is that blacksmithing is starting to interest me because of your videos and the passion you put into it, someday I would like to reach your level, thank you very much for your videos, keep it up. What a scare I got at 0:28 (for the cry), I didn't expect it😂😂😂😂😂
Just catching up on a few of your builds I hadn’t seen, while I had some free time. Very cool! Always loved the math and building with radius’s. It’s always got a sort of ‘magical’ feeling to it. Great idea with the wooden block template! 🤜🤛
Wow that Spider looks real from a distent, it would scare the hell out of me too if I walked up on it in the woods :-) You are a real metal artist with a great imagination ;-)
When once there was a spiderweb in our balcony, me and one of our sons threw in a dead bug into web. There was no spider to be seen, but it rushed from the corner faster than Usain Bolt to spit and web the bug! We both went WOW! Great ordeal, and just subbed btw. Hälsningar från Finnland.
We have spiders like that in Western Australia. They have a red stripe, and the common name is *_Redback Spider._* When I was a kid, and outside toilets were a regular feature in the 1950's, we always had to check under the _dunny seat_ so we wouldn't die a horrible death . . .
+@@blargkliggle1121: Although the three subspecies of mouse spiders are widely distributed across Australia, I haven't been much concerned about them because they are more _"popular"_ in Northern Territory and the Eastern States. Thus I couldn't answer your question, but a quick look at the Medical Journal of Australia reveals that of the 40 bites definitely diagnosed as from that type of spider up to about 2004, only one bite of a young child required anti-venom treatment, and observed for 4 hours to ensure recovery. None mentioned any case of traumatic (physical) injury such as you described. No nightmares necessary 😨 after all, the children can go to sleep (fairly) safely.

There's something wonderful about such a skilled blacksmith taking his time to make a spooky holiday decoration that is very pleasing.
That math is scary enough! I'll take my chances with the spider!!!
Floyd Underhill LOL
Ha ha!
jason s; I am fairly sure that triangles have straight sides... stating sarcastically.
Awesome Torbjorn!
Should've added a red thick line on its back to make it look like a giant Redback Spider. Great work man.
Jag sitter med ett stort leende hela filmen igenom. Du är så duktig och inspirerande. Tack!
Va kul, tack Joel!
I just love the little bit of humor you put in your videos every once in awhile.
I am a simple man, I see a good youtuber that at least seems to genuinely like doing youtube vids, I subscribe
:) Thanks!
Make ten of those and just randomly hide them in the forest
Det här är en så fin film! Tack!
Make 10 of and randomly leave them in town.
For anyone who is new to blacksmithing, this guy is someone to pay attention to. Great video!
Thanks for the heads up. I will.
First class workmanship, brilliant!

Thank you Miro!
As with so many of your videos and projects, one thumbs-up is just not enough! Beautiful and inspiring work!
Thank you!!
Amazing sculpture! Very creative and very creepy.
Had to bring in my wife to see your creation. We were both amazed! Great workmanship and good humor too. All the best to you, Joe
Ha ha, thanks Joe (and wife) ! :)

Hahaha... Thanks. We had great fun recording and editing that piece :) Silly but fun...
Nothing silly at all about that. In fact that makes it even more appealing and adds a magic to the fun. Continued success and best wishes T..
You forgot the compound eyes! Splendid video thought, very thoughtfully forged, many different techniques were involved. Such skill!
You are a true Craftsman, Sir. Nice Work .
As I said before, you are not a black smith, you are a great artist that l learn a lot of you. Good luck. 👍🍀
At first I wasn't sure if I could be bothered watching til the end. Glad I did, thank you, great display of variety of skills!
Metal work/blacksmithing is in my genes...But,i have to say Torbjorn you have a good eye, some awesome talent and your a pleasure to watch on UA-cam...Thanks for sharing your craft...
Thanks Bob
BRAVISSIMOOO!!!!!!! tecnica legata all'arte. Complimenti da un Italiano.
You the real Blacksmith bro. ❤❤❤
I love watching something made from nothing. Thanks for sharing your talent.
Amazing problemsolving on the ”ball” part! You’re a straight up genius!
I swear, since I'm the only one who comments about your top-notch editing, I want to claim that the lighting adjustment shot was for me. XD
:)
That was awesome well done!
Thank you Joshua!
The use and knowledge of geometry is exceptional.👍👍👍❤️
Huge thumbs up, I'm really impressed at the consistency of your legs. It's hard to do multiple copies and have them look great!
So much work to give my wife the chills. Thank you.
:)
Looks awesome, consider painting a red hourglass on the back like a black widow spider.
That was a blast. I really loved the way you connected many techniques during this project. Still one of the best smiths there are, TA. Cheers.
i saw your big smile when looking at it.
you should be proud.
what a great job!
Thanks. Yes, it exceeded my expectations...
Awesome build aside, even just making the dish for dishing the sheet metal was a cool build in and of itself.
Wish I could click the thumbs up more than once when there's more than one reason for liking a video!
Thanks!!
Your spider turned out pretty good. I never would have thought of making a spider from forged metal. Fun project.
Next you need a huge web in a corner for it. That was an awesome project man. Really enjoyed it.
Your video's are amazing ,I could watch them all day 👍
Beautiful work mate!

Ha ha, tack! Du är välkommen på ett besök oavsett! :) :)
That is a very clever shears holder you made there. Normally they take up too much space. And the wooden sinking stake... wow! Gotta get me a wood lathe. Very nice work!
Thank you Oliver!! Yes with a lathe you can make whatever radius you like more or less.
Shined up the start of that sphere almost looked like the spheres in the 70's movie Phantasm!! the ones with the drills and spikes. Excellent build good Sir.
Смотрел с "открытым ртом"... Результат поразил... Очень красивый паук!!! Не хватает паутины))) спасибо за доставленное удовольствие!!!
Гм...а блоху подковать он сможет?
Excellent project, so many techniques, fantastic work.
Best regards from the UK.
So much fun in 19 minutes (our time) and years of fun thinking about it and using it. Amazing build and design of a big'O scary spider. Nice one Torbjorn! Thanks for sharing your fun!
Thanks, yes it was fun making it (and editing the video, ha ha)!
And always add a pinch of humor to your work. Thumbs up!
The look with all those spot welds looked cool too
Awesome job!
Lots of different techniques, and just a cool looking spider .

Not sure how you imaged this finished when you were designing it but holy hell does it look fantastic.

Thank you for your time and effort
Beautiful work. I am humbled.
That has to be the most savage spider I have ever seen!
You've outdone yourself this time! Absolutely superb - Easily the quickest 20 minute video I've watched in a long time. Well done Sir! :)
Thank you!!
not gonna lie, it was pretty awesome seeing the legs move as the welds cooled down. you dont always get to see the metal moving like that.
You differently have talent my man. Nice
Howdy from Sacramento! I hope you make a tidy living from your UA-cam videos, because you certainly deserve to. Thanks for sharing!
What a work of art !!!
I was planning on getting a spider tattoo, your work really inspired me!!!
Good work as always.

Very good job ! I like your proud smile at the end, Hehehe ! It's a lot of work, but it worth it, also, you just built two tools and got experience that you can use in the future. Thanks for sharing !

That is the same kind that the mayor in "Nightmare before Christmas" uses as a bolo tie. :-) Wouldn't fancy meeting one IRL...
Ha ha ha, yes that would have been a horrible death...
Don't you guys also have one that can bite through a toenail? I think it's called a mouse spider.

they're related to the black widow, except full of steroids and hate
I don't know why this is so satisfying
Wonderful. Absolutely amazing skills and attention to detail.
Wow, that thing is super creepy :) Even just the legs lying on the anvil gave me chills! Very nice!
:) Thanks
I was going to say the same thing.
The amount of art in this work is unbelievable. amazing😍😍😍👌👌👌👌
