The garden scene turned surreal. I felt as though I was watching a scene from Star Wars or another sci fi film. Colonist guy on another planet out checking his crops as a robot trundles by tending to the more mundane task of trimming the verge! The mix of your old world knowledge and skills mingling with the use of advanced technology, performing a menial chore, is kind of a minor mind blow! I love your videos.
This channel is just amazing. The product has a soul a very talented Thunder Bear made this from hot steel and a hammer. The most amazing part is the precision that you have with a hammer. I just enjoy watching watching not only the backsmithing but the total care put into everything.
Very nice project! Your skills are well established at this point, so it's good to see some more of your personality in your videos. The calm nature of your videos and your personality really makes for a very enjoyable time watching!
Mr Blacksmith, you have made yet again, another very enjoyable video. Your shop is wonderful, the landscape of your home is beautiful and your craftsmanship is ever improving. I enjoyed the video very much and the boiled linseed oil at the end had given me a small laugh. It is a very good quality that one would have in them to make content which is so simple yet astoundingly good hearted. I enjoy your channel because it is one place where Good is and where there is only relaxation. My thanks and cheers to you, i look forward to the next video.

Beautiful from start to finish and everything in between. Some of the finest production I've ever seen Thank you for a most enjoyably satisfying 20 mins of my day
@@torbjornahman New to your channel about 3 weeks ago and very slowly I'm working thru your archive, one at a time (sometimes over again before the next) like savoring the mashed potatoes and gravy part of my meal... being careful not to binge and miss out on the full flavor. what I wouldn't give to have a shop like yours... I am working on it. It may take a while haha. Hopefully I can make things well enough in the near future I can start turning some real profit. But I am happy to see that I am definitely making SOME money right now, and best of all, people are appreciating my work. I wanna try my hand at this style bell in the near future! Great build!
Mr Thunderbear, I only recently found this channel and have been marathon watching as time allows. Please allow me to say the thing that most impresses me is your materials management skills. Unlike countless others I have watched you don't forge a huge billet of material and spend forever grinding over half of it away as waste.
And here I thought you were making a door pull for the new shop door, lol. I love the bell and watching you go through the process of shaping. You are a very multi-talented person. PS. that is the largest and nicest anvil I have ever seen. That must have cost you a lot.
Awesome t-shirt design and Thunder Bear is a super cool name, I like it a lot. My last name is old Dutch/Germanic and translates as Odin's oak. I always thought it to be really cool as well. Enjoyed your video as always
Most impressive tone and long lasting harmonics!! Beautiful as well as an elegant design. Man, the soil in your garden is rich, not sure you needed the top soil. Loved the mower scene and the close ups on the other end of the bell. Great work and now you have T-shirts too! ~¿@ Thanks Torbjörn, better every time! PJ
I can only assume the others must have sounded really amazing because I thought that one sounded particularly decent! Lovely work! (and what a beautiful row of flowers/bushes you have grown!)
What kickass badass garden you have. Last time tried to grow something i got arrested. Judge have 50 hours of free labor. At my own church. But my preacher friend just had me work two hours and signed me 50 hours. Lol.
It strikes me (See what I did there?) that a major skill in smithing is understanding the volume of metal you are working with. At an academic level I get that the volume is easily determined mathematically, but to have the sense of how much metal to leave on that bar on either side of the clanger, so that it can be drawn out without any waste is pretty amazing to me.
Pretty job. You always use boiled linseed oil, is there any reason why? When I was at school the metalwork teacher usually went for dirty engine oil to give the steel a semi weather-proof blue finish. May I suggest that when you produce these videos you them a difficulty rating. Your anvil really is a credit to you, simple measures to prevent unnecessary damage. Thanks for posting.
The guy who invented the knock knock joke deserves a no bell prize.

LOL :)
You never fail to impress. You are among my favorite here on youtube for overall quality of both blacksmithing and videography. Thank you!
Thank you!!

Very cool vid. I've never seen a bell like this. Glad to see the hole punched not drilled and the clapper forged not fabricated!
Thanks Jeff!
I liked the juxtaposition of the ancient craft of forging to the ultra-modern lawn-mowing robot!
Love the pitch and resonance of the bell. And the lawn robot was a nice touch as well as the garden "fly-through".

Excelente, muy buena estética de la campana, original.
La forja de primera, felicitaciones.
I like the "flyover" over the flowers. It's the little things like that why I love your channel. Awesome bell
:) Thank you !!
Really lovely job on that Thunderbear, what a lush garden too! Laughed out loud when you took a flight through the flowers! Good job!
He he, thanks! Should have added some swooshing sound fx and possibly star wars music...

Not to throw us all back a few hundred years but life would be so much more meaningful if we all used objects made by hand like this. Bring it back!

Your flowers are beautiful as well.
Excellent work. Your channel, your shop, your work, your family, your homestead honors our ancestors. You are an example for us all.
So very kind! Thank you!
The sound of metal is so pretty, and I love your garden
You make it look so effortless, in blacksmithing and your grounds
My grandfather had a philosophy. Love what you do and do what you love and you'll be content. I see that in your videos.
As always, watching the process is a delight, and the finished product is beautiful.
Nice sound, great job, wonderful flowers
You are a wonderful craftsman and it's very soothing to watch you work, thank you
Very unique design of a bell, made to perfection.
Great detailing by the good craftsman !!!
And the bell sounds soo sweet!!

Another beautiful functioning work of art.. well done!
Beautiful flower bushes Sir. Also enjoyed watching the process of how to forge a bell.
10000 % man right here I'm adopting your plant planting after every successful and unsuccessful forging or woodworking etc
Chief Thunder Bear has done it again! Another amazing creation.
:) Thanks Malcolm!
Well done my friend! Tidy forging and nice design. Sounds great! J

Beautiful forging and a robot lawnmower in the same video!? Pure genius.
what a man , an artist , I ENJOYED it very much , understood many things , never bored .thanks .
Love the gardening break. It's a nice contrast to the forging, but also creating.

Thanks! The Rhododendrons like the acidic peat that I add.

No it means you didn't align the punch. It was off by at least 1,8°... :) Perfection.... Thanks!!!
Why is it so pleasing to watch someone hammering hot metal? :D
Exquisite blacksmithing - a joy to watch!

Artfully forged, creatively documented. Another "saved" video in my growing TA archive.
