UA-cam recommendation has got better.
Thank you thank you!
Thanks to UA-cam I now know I wanted something I didn’t know about
Arya Asylum wait, was that an insult or a compliment?
Yup
@@Crawlerjamie why not both почему не оба
Some viewer feedback- the whistle sunshine music you’ve got playing it even louder than your speaking audio.
Cool video otherwise!
Got it thanks ✌🏼
@@MtPhillipMetalWorks you should change it to something else tbh
@@MtPhillipMetalWorks good content btw
Came here to say the same.
@@MtPhillipMetalWorks just try to Either turn it off when you are speaking or turn it down
_My body moves by instinct when your fingers are 2 close to the hot metal_
Haha
It shocked me too when he shoed at 0:50 the red hot metal and at 1:00 runs his finger across it. my god!
MikeOnBike his hands are like leather
That's a REAL blacksmith: leather-like hands and strong arms. x)
I was thinking the same! “You’re going to get burnt!!” Haha
I'm watching this tutorial but it's not like I can do this 😂
I like watching blacksmiths. My brother co oped with one and we could also watch them work at the Pioneer villages.
So most tutorials
Actually you don’t need super expensive equipment like this, you could do it with bricks wood and a hairdryer, you could use sandpaper for engraving like he did here. ua-cam.com/video/Fuk7Lw_uV5s/v-deo.html
Hello. Blacksmiths wife here. This is a really cool twist. Well done. Ill be sharing it 😊
Thank you
That’s awesome looking! But go a little quieter with the music please
Don't know how I got here but i like it.
Same
Same
I was recommended here. Unknown as to why
Ssme
First step: Buy thousands of dollars worth of tools/equipment.
Thanks for not adding a stupid intro that takes a whole minute.
after the grinder cuts it looks like to most brutal stake ever conceived... 10 out of 10 Vampires hate it
more like 0/10 not made of wood
would fuck up a person or a monster tho
@@hugglepuff1 the stake is actually to pin them to the ground so they can't rise.
Dino UA-cam ad- “vampires hate him for this!!”
i want to die
Iron is deadly to a couple creatures, and is a repellent for some forms of undead. I imagine a pure iron stake would probably kill a vampire. You gotta destroy the heart, or alternatively you just have to chop off the head.
Don't believe @@ninboy01 , I tried iron and the vampire still killed my whole family. He's most likely one of them.
When it still warm rub a brass wire brush. It will melt slightly leaving the meetal a golden colour. It look really good. I learnt that from a guy from the herberton historic village when i was on holiday there
I wanna see this implemented into something like a Chinese styled table with those but longer as legs, spiraling as they go down in order to support weight. That would look so cool!
Would look cool as heck thats for.sure. but would hurt like hell when you stub ur toe on it during a bbq
@@brandona4618 How did I know that this was going to be one of the things someone would reply?
@@Chop__. you must be as left footed as i am. 😂 im always smashing my toes on tires or car parts and other various items around the house😂😂
@@brandona4618 Exactly, I can't walk in the dark around my own home for fear that I will bang my toe on the corner of something!
You guys are lucky, I stub both feet.😅
"stay for the twist at the end", but seriously so good, so good.
Why was this in my recommendations . . . ?
Whatever it does it looks cool. Very talented!

Countess Boudicca
What do you mean "why was this in your recommendations"? Why wouldn't it be in your recommendations?
I am guessing you do not understand how YT recommendations work.
Awesome!! Very clear tutorial I think I can do it! now All I need is some metal and an entire workshop
And of course, a couple decades of experience? Haha!
Lmk when you get all that. I need the same stuff so I'll come over and keep you company lol
@@meshuggahdave5607
Hell yeah you're welcome to come over anytime... You'll just have to wait.. I don't know.. Maybe.. 80 years give or take..depending on the land I have to get for myself 1st to put my house on
@@gegasmeef7850 bet. I'll be older than 100 but metal craft is worth the wait. Lol
Seeing tutorials like this really makes me wish I had the equipment to try it. And if I was to try something like this, I’d also try heat treating the scales to change their colour slightly. Would give it a unique look.
I just wanted to thank you. I saw this vid some time ago and used it on rail stakes knives. Once it cools down i took it to an extras stump and used a wooden hammer to smooth the scales down. Then worked the blade. So much fun
Glad it helped!
i personally can’t weld or blacksmith, but this shit was tight! i could watch this all day. the time and patience it must is crazy.
The modern master blacksmith to us digital apprentices, thank you!!
Damn dude thanks!
That's badass thank you UA-cam recommendations for finally doing something right
Thanks for watching Darren
@@MtPhillipMetalWorks thank you for uploading such an amazing video that gets you a sub
Revisiting an oldie but goodie. Hell job as always Chris!!!
Yes!!!! More more more
Thanks Jim!
You should have said I want that
Must not make joke.
This man deserves respect.
Someone already made the joke that anything can be a dildo if you're brave enough. You'll never beat that joke.
@@quincybriley4113
Thats... actually my joke. XD
Finally, something that is worth being recommended! 👍
I love art pieces where, if u just look at em, ya have to think "how the fuck did they made that", and this is definitely one of em. true art.
Thank you
Damn that is nice! I'm a silversmith that loves anything blacksmith/metalsmith. Now you got me wondering if it's possible to make that in silver...
Would silver be too soft for this type of forming? If it is possible it would look so good, maybe form a chain of scales etc
@@stuthhamster I've actually been going over it in my head. Thinking if I get the right amount of heat, I could maybe get those twists in but it would be more like one at a time or possibly two
Sure you could do this in silver, so long as you've annealed it.
@@MrTheweerobin Yeah, but it's the thicker part I was concerned about. I had a thought if I brought it up to a dull red on the thicker part, I could twist it nicely, then the thinner stuff would be easier annealed yah :D
@@Tactividz do you mean twisting the thicker parts while it's still hot? I'd be wary of working hot silver, it's super soft.
i was the 9,793rd subscriber. when this channel booms I came before ten thousand, beautiful work.
Thank you thank you !
Beautiful result, I had no idea you could make this from 1 piece of metal
A bit of whistling over the voiceover is a great idea , I am going to do this in my daily interactions from now on with a portable speaker to go over my voice when I talk to people
That would be a sick design on a hilt for a dagger themed after a dragon or something.
Only down side would be it being impractical
I watched this before UA-cam.
Thanks for bringing me back
Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏼
That's so cool!
Idk what this is used for or what really to do with it but glad I saw how it was made.
Always love watching these kind of creations, especially when they teach people a new craft!
These particular ones were being made into bottle openers
Would make A wicked coathanger
My friend shared this video to me...and I'm so happy they did
Awesome thanks for watching!
Found this down the You tube rabbit hole and I like it.
Glad you like it
No bullshit talking, no stupid intros, you just got there and did the damn dragon tail. Thx
*It's great!!😱.* This channel has a lot of future. A greeting mate
Great opportunity for many changes...lots of twist changes ahead
Big Thanks
I’m not a metal worker, I’m a carpenter, however it’s something I am ready to learn.
I really don't know how did I get here but this thing is amazing
Thank you glad you enjoyed it 👍🏼
@@MtPhillipMetalWorks thanks for the reply
Idk why I am here but I like it a lot
Gonna have to save this vid to a playlist, that twist would make a gorgeous crossguard on a sword, thanks, man
That is awesome! I don't know what I'll do with this information, but cool!
Coolest twist pattern yet.
👊🏼✌🏼
Awesome!! i did a video on this about 7 months ago and then re did it about 5 months ago... i have been looking for others who do it as well, I called it the SharkTooth Twist because i couldn't find anything with a reverse image search!! good job man!
Awesome Video man!
the audio mix was just fine idk what these people are on but I can hear you perfectly
👊🏼
Very interesting! That design could be implemented in so many ways too!
AND YET ANOTHER EPISODE OF WHY THIS IS ON MY RECOMMENDATION!!!
No gloves. I'm impressed. Awesome! Didn't even notice the music. I was watching the craft.
i can only imagine how brutal it would be to have some kind of metal club made this way.
Thank you very much UA-cam recommendations
Thanks for watching! ✌🏼
Real nice work with metal. Will make a mental note as to try this later this week. Keep up the great work too.
That would look badass as a shifter in a ‘57 Chevy chopped roadster
That's very specific
Yup. Just a project in my head.
Gary Busey very nice choice tbh I really like imports like the nsx but I do like the old chevys
That looks badass when it's glowing
Thought you looked familiar, ive bought blacksmith tools from you! Good to see you're making videos man
Thanks Man, fairly new to all this stuff will figure it out soon and get the videos out! 👍🏼
That was awesome! I dont even burn, but I liked the hell out of that. I wouldn't even know what to do with it.
Cant believe watched the whole video and i loved it
That was awesome. The music didnt bother me at all, to let you know. Seeing the comments about it.
Thank you 🙏🏼
Not sure what a dragon twist is, but sure looks cool.
I like taking railroad spikes and twisting them with different designs and using the twist as handles for knives that I make from the railroad spike. Awesome a new way!
Thank you! 👍🏼
All of those dislikes are from dragons
Honestly know nothing about this and don’t know how this ended up in my recommended but some great content
Very cool technique and such a fabulous dragon tail! And a great video!!
Figments Made thank you!
How is this guy not at 10 mil subs
Imagine building some parts of a dragon then build it thogether
MORE!!!!! I need more of this kind of art, i'm starting slowly with my own blakchsmith workshop. I need to see moar!
This was the odd one out in my recommend but I like it!
Finding this was unexpected, but surprisingly enjoyable
Astonishing...Pure art
Thanks
Dope! Now make the rest of the dragon🐉
That would make a bad ass double sided sword guard
Love your hands! They remind me of my dads who is the hardest working man I’ve ever met.
Thank you I take that as a high compliment 👍🏼
That was awesome! Do some more videos please!
Workin on it! 👍🏼
I’m not cracking any jokes or something like that, but it’s good to see some cracked rough hands on screen like that. I get ridiculed for mine , but I love ‘em. Means I’ve done a solid days work.
Hear that? Thats the sound of me throwing my pineapple twists into the scrap in disgust. Hats off to you!
Hi as a beginner blacksmith I’m hoping you upload more twist like this it would be very helpful to have online quick tutorials
I really dig your subject matter and the work is awesome! I have to say for posterity that the whistle music was a little distracting. Honestly though, I don't think that makes your video any less cool. Great work supreme artistic skill!
Also, you're fire is incredible. That went to red hot in less than a second!
Im sorry about the comment, I didn't see that the whole world mentioned the music.
Bad ass tho
Now rappers are gunna want dragon twist chains
Cool video! I have a great admiration for Blacksmiths :)
This would make a beautiful sword guard.
Indeed
YES!!!
Since you put it up I've been trying to figure how it's done, and I feel vindicated that this is the method I'd come up with in my head. Going to have to try this out very soon!
Also, great video man, for your first one, this is super impressive! Can't wait to see more.
MoonshineMetalworks Awesome!!!
@@jeffallen3382 aye or you can go make your own blacksmithing yt channel if you want to make demands
@@sloth0708 hes trying to help the guy better his videos.
@@idk9637 there was no need for him to be rude about it though
I don't even do metal work but now I want to
This looks soo badass. Looks like skyrim dragonbone armor😂
I've never seen this pattern and didn't even knew it was possible!!
👍🏼👍🏼
The thumbnail looks like red asparagus.
This would make a super cool knife/sword handle
I’m intrigued
UA-cam recomends scored big today.. Thjat was hella cool. I,d like to see a finished art piece using that concept.
Very good sir. Thanks for uploading
I didn't see this twist coming
That could be a good sword handle whit a Demon look
Im Aquh doesnt look like it would be too comfortable to hold as a handle
That would look awesome as a keychain, smaller and lighter of course. I can’t find anyone selling them though.
bruh, it would have to be a solid keychain that cant move, just a metal rod
Wow this is the fancyest back scratcher I've ever seen.
You're A Metal Wizard
🙏🏼
Reminds me of the Gundam Epyon so cool!
Idk why I watched this I’m not even a blacksmith but I love it it looks so cool
Thank you
1:33 Ahh, the dentist flashbacks, ty.
Beautiful contemporary smithing.
This would make a really cool sword handle
That was badass. I want more.
Sick work brother! Great first video, keep rolling them out!! As good as any of the top UA-cam smiths!!
Thanks Man!
Im super excited to try this after i learn how to blacksmith( well after i get some more experience with easier tasks of course still exited about learning though!)
You know I was watching South Park but this is cool too.👌
