Hi Torbjörn. I am Elizaveta Polikashina. I accidentally saw your video and I want to say that I am very pleased to see my name in the description of the video. The cat turned out great!
Thank you so much! I saw pictures of your animals about a year ago, and they stuck to my mind, and when we got the kittens I thought it would be a great time to try something along the same concept. I think you have balanced the amount of detail perfectly together with simple lines. Less is more so to speak! :) I might have added too much detail but I'm quite pleased anyway.

There is nothing not to love about this video. Great tool making, new kittens that seem right at home plus a great project that brings a smile to a childs face. Thank you for sharing.
Those things are filled with sentiment, and memories. Everyone will remember the time, the kittens, and the happiness that is now and will be with them. That piece of art will go with your child forever, and they will always remember you and the love you had for them....I admire your skill, commitment, and thoughtfulness. It made me shed a tear. We need more of this in today's world! Bless you.
I love your attention to detail...the tail bend, the flat spot below the cat nose, matching the finish, the precision of the stamp...all reasons why I watch every one of your videos. Nice to see your kids getting an intro to your craft.
I am so pleased to see this video, not only because of your excellent work, but because your child was helping you in the smithy. My fondest memories of my father are of the hours and hours we spent in his workshop - almost always in silence. Either I helped him with his projects or we worked together on separate projects. He taught me so many skills. I cherish those memories now that he is gone, and to this day I love watching videos of UA-cam makers - probably because of those hours I spent with my dad. Thank you so very much.
I don't know when my heart melted the most, getting the kittens, them playing, the hot in your kids' faces, your daughter helping, you giving the steel cat to her... it was all adorable, thank you for sharing this with us!
Watching a 18 minutes cat video to the end ! What a life ! Cats and kids at home, all the time to enjoy for yourself, all the blacksmithing work will be done by the children and the cats get the food from the gras field ! Everything works fine !
It's good to get the young ones into the shop. My apprentice is my 6 year old granddaughter. She likes to sweep the floor, paint stuff, and hit things with a hammer. Frequently my fingers. Great work, TA.
Your videos are an example to all UA-camrs- beautiful camerawork to show exactly what you are doing, no unnecessary commentary and no intrusive 'music' ! You are also a fine blacksmith, with an artistic side.
Today we get two projects in one! That's a really nice stamp. The cat is great. I love the family touches you put into your videos. Your children are adorable. You could be training up the next great blacksmith/artist there.
The kiddo’s were such a great addition to this video. Thanks for posting. This is the first of yours I’ve seen. I’m impressed not only by the quality editing and content, but by the wholesome feeling that makes me want to smile after watching it. Keep up the good work!
I'm Sorry but is your life as peaceful as shown in your videos. Watching you work just puts a calmness over me. you make such beautiful pieces no mater how simple or complex they are. then seeing you out in the yard or canning and any of the other wonderful things you do is so nice and calming. thank you for sharing.
Ron Mexico - Dad, we want kittens. - said the kids - No problem! - said the father, taking a piece of metal, a couple hammers - and went to the forge. :)
That was the most touching and special video I have seen and still involved blacksmithing. You sir are a great dad and I hope you're children always remember what a great father they have. God bless
Every blister, every ache, every lesson from failure, every single hammer blow so profoundly worth those few seconds of utter joy from your daughters reaction and smile. A lesson that the world would do well to relearn. Thank you for the smile Torbjörn.
This wonderful video brought such a joy to my wife and me this evening, we want to thank you very sincerely. This video is one of the most delightful impressions we have had in years.
I love that there is only the tools sound, no background music, no talking, just, tools sound. Very nice pice, 🐱 my respect for your knowledge, years of working ⚒🙂👍
Torbjorn Mis felicitaciones!!!! Un verdadero "MAESTRO" con todas las letras, como solemos decir por los pagos de Argentina. En todos sus trabajos y creaciones.
Oh My Gosh that is so adorable! I love how he had his daughter help him. That is something that she will always have and cherish because it is form her dad and she helped make it.
Your videos always make the world a better place. Best form of recycling ever! Also nice to see the family involved. Gives them perspective and skills very few people will ever enjoy.
I am thoroughly impressed......I kept thinking in the beginning, "I don't know what he is making, but that isn't a piece of angle iron", and later thinking, "He makes this project look too easy". Thank you for the excellent video, for there is something great about watching an expert working with superior skill.
That is a great little project, and I like your ingenuity to hold the stamp quite impressive. But the looks on your children's faces spectacular. It's not hard to see what a loving family you have, blessings to you all.
A smile on a child's face is worth any amount of work, nice job! I don't like cats, but my daughters do ( my kids are grown up now) , I'll try a couple of these, thanks for the Idea.
Certain to become an heirloom. I can imagine your daughter telling her children about it one day. Thank you once again for the inspiring project; now off to my forge!
I was so impressed with the beauty and simplicity of the cats, that I made two for some friends. I found, however, another method or sequence in the forging that worked easier for me. I did all the cutting out of the head and waist, the eyes, nose and whiskers on the vise BEFORE separating and forming the tail. It was MUCH easier to clamp in the vise and do all that without the tail in the way, then I quickly cut out and formed the tail and feet.
17:14-17:51 should define the world. Thanks for defining a small corner with intelligence, grace, artistry, skill, and love. My life with cats began when I was 8, in spite of my dad’s objections to a kitten in the house. That cat was my companion through childhood, youth, young adulthood and into the early years of my marriage-almost 20 years. Our present cats are now 13, litter mates who still nap together like your new kittens. One is diabetic, needs insulin injections morning and night. Worth it? Absolutely. They bring us joy. I’m certain yours will bring lasting joy to your children, too.

I wouldn't care if I was allergic to cats, I just live with taking antihistimines forever. I love my cats too much to be without them.
Very nice project. Great eye punch and wonderful happy little girl after a surprise present from her father. Wonderful to watch.
Thanks Tom!
Ah thank you Torborn! This is the kind of video that I can just relax and watch without all the craziness of my country.
Not for the first time I am reminded that blacksmithing, of all the crafts, is a form of magic. Thank you.

Ok, it's a video with Torbjörn's blacksmithing AND kittens, what could go wrong? Instalike for sure 😻😻
I said this before on another video but letting your kid be apart of your craft is awesome I’m sure he will remember it forever.
When I read the title I couldn't even imagine how that would go. It turned out awesome ! I love cats ;-)

The fact that you used the oxidize metal is briliant as it gave the whole piece a unique texture.
Gorgeous work. Making the punch for the eyes was simply fantastic.
It's a cute little kitten. I like it how a craftsman turns a simple piece of angle iron into a lively kitten. Praise worthy : )
