friends, when I got back to the game, I checked the rataka items and items brought to the npc, I will have 2 questions for you 1- how many levels can be increased in the rataka item at most 2- modifications have arrived, even 336 gear folks plug into skin sets and play directly 336, I have studied the sets, there is no difference between 330 rataka and 336 modified sets on Dec, so the system confused me a little ?

You're welcome! It depends on how you've been going about it and what you prefer. You can still go up to 332 with pvp gear, but then you'd HAVE to do the flashpoint weekly method to go to blue 336. Whereas if you've been doing the flashpoint method earlier, getting to 336 would be easier because you could potentially skip having to get a weekly crate by just manually upgrading your for example 334 flashpoint gear with fp currency. edit: 332 for pvp oops

Omg I have been out of the game for 4-5 years (last expansion I did was Fallen knights..I think it was called). My mains were max level at 65, max gear. I feel so lost now. Used to get gear off boss drops and commendations.
Take it one step at a time. I'd recommend just doing the story you've missed for starters. It will give you a boost in gear and make things easier. This video is not meant for players who are new or coming back to the game after a break :)
I just hit 80 but haven't run any flashpoints yet. The gear I want drops from flashpoints and then I upgrade it at that flashpoint upgrade vendor? Does it drop from the solo flashpoints or do I have to do group ones? You also mentioned a weekly flashpoint? Finally where does the modable gear come from? I'm so confused. :)
The solo/story flashpoints don't give the gear you need (or they give low level ones usually). You'd need to do veteran or master flashpoints to get the good gear. The weekly flashpoint is a mission you pick up that just asks you to do x number of flashpoints that is repeatable every week. The moddable gear is ANY gear that you have that shows having empty slots. They're called 'adaptive' gear because they are meant to be modded to your liking. There is even a vendor on the fleet somewhere that just sells a bunch of adaptive gear if you don't have some. Note that if you're new to the game you shouldn't worry about this stuff yet!

Yeah it's pretty easy now all things considered. If youre working on the new PvP track you'll also get a ton of tech fragments from the PvP weeklies and dailies.

The blue FP gear have two uses, to be used by themselves, which you'll have to do for the implants and ear piece, and to be used to unlock prototype 336 modding, which includes enhancements. There is no solo way to get the purple/artifact 336 without getting more of the operation currency, which means doing operations.
For PvP? You can't get the full PvP equivalent from Hyde and zeek since we can only get the purple 334 enhancements. If you want 336, you need to use other gearing paths.
Nope. Only difference is that if for example you were using conquest gear until irating 334 and wanted to switch to FP gear for 336, you'd have to either get the flashpoint crates (from doing the FP weeklies), or manually level up the FP gear from scratch from the vendor.
As we see in the video,in 7.2 PvP gear can not go up to 336. Due to that, flashpoint gear is currently better due to being able to go to 336. If we were able to get PvP gear to 336, it would be better due to them being purple. But that is not the case.
As far as I know, deconstructing a purple will only give you enhancements, not mods, hilts, barrels, armouring, etc. Its up to you if that's worth it. Check for operation specific guides, my guide is for the best gear you can get without operations.
operations 8 to 16 players is needed but depending on what server you are on or when people do operations for example i am on eu english and people told me they don,t queue up for operations anymore so if you are lucky on your server with ti then cool me i am not lucky with it i have been asking people to join my guild try to ask them for help with operations they told me i was annoying and spamming and then they told me the whole server is gonna ignore me and that it can be hard to get people do it so beware of the toxic people who just is there not to help but just talk s**** and its 7.3 now i know but things still seem the same in the game idk with people tho but i just think its a shame that you have to use so much mentally energy on just to get purple gear with people who does not wanna help anyways
Yeah, endgame gear grinding is a bit too grindy. I get that they're suppose to be hard, but this does not welcome anyone who want's to try it out. Stopped after a day or two of grinding. Grinds my gears, it does XD
I quit playing about the time Ossus was added to the game. I hated what they did with the gearing back then. What they've got now is the most ridiculous and convoluted system possible. People had a hard time understanding gearing before we had tech fragments and crap like that. What's in the game now is nonsense.
@FutaCatto IMO, they're trying to wall off certain players from certain things. As this sort gearing mechanic just isn't ideal to anyone that don't have a lot of time to invest in annoyingly specific set of rules and activities, just so that they can get high level gear. Or maybe (and I don't mean to mock or belittle) any layperson who just wants better gear. Again, it's IMO. All I know is that any casual trying to get a high level set of gear is going to be (probably) discouraged. I know I am, I quit a little over 2 months ago. I had better luck grinding for God rolls in Destiny than I ever did trying to gear up in SWTOR.
The difference is that gearing in swtor is not rng based. It's mostly a set path you have to follow (or two since there are multiple gearing methods). I got done in less than a week when I was focusing on it.
Finishing your 100k conquest points gets you 200. That's enough to upgrade one FP relic or earpiece. There are some big ticket conquest objectives that are super easy like gaining reputation that nets you like 45k points per day. Right now, turning in those G.A.M.E. modules to PHXLNX or whatever she is and giving her the rep item gets you almost half of your conquest in one shot. Give a low level companion a gift and get another 16k. A couple of the crafting goals are 8k and 16k roughly. It takes a little time but if you have some alts and a few minutes a day, you can rack up a lot of comms for upgrades. Not to mention you get 500 tech frags per character. If you're not knocking out CQ then you really should be. Hope this helps if you didn't already know.

You should not worry about maxing out gear if you're still leveling up and especially if you're new. Focus on playing the story and enjoying it. If you want better gear while leveling up, you can get them from doing heroic missions on the planets you go to.

If you want control over the distribution then you go with the 336 adaptive gear yes.
Now I'd they can add a FP-1 to OP currency converter for when we have maxed FP-2 and nothing to use them on.

340 purple is the max and only from the vet R4 op. There have been no changes.

@@SuperAlizul i remembered how easy it is to get into Ops SM when Eternal Thrones came out. Now to enter DF SM, you need atleast gear 360.

Make sure you don't have another version of the mission active, you cannot have multiple missions from them active.
