I appreciate you and all the work you put into these guides. I am an on-again, off-again kind of player, so getting back in after a hiatus is made more pleasant with your help. Thanks again, and keep up the great work!
Swtorista, I've been a long-time, but mostly silent subscriber. It must be said though, I feel your channel shows the most love and the best content for SWTOR. It's easy to tell you are a true fan of all that is SWTOR, and it clearly shows in all the excellent content you have created over the years! I thank you for your commitment to SWTOR and all us fans!
Wow @Swotorista...this is AMAZING. Thank you so much!!! This helped me a great deal as I just don't have the time to figure this out on my own. The first time I watched it, I had no idea what I was looking & listening to. Now, 8 months later, I know EXACTLY what I need to do. Again, my humbly sincere appreciation *bows @Swotorista*
Aweee, I've just been broke and playing casually as a pref player the last few months... but it was apparantly enough to have all the mats I needed to follow this guide and get 330'ed up! Thaaaanks soooo much (from a fellow made-in-northern-alberta swtor'er)
Just started my level 80 gear grind after being unsubbed for almost a year. Been using the earpiece trick to work towards unlocking the 330 mods vendor. Ty Swtorista for writing the guide for it
a friend of mine and i have been playing through for the first time. We subbed to get access to the remainder of the story line. we are both Sith Marauders and In KotFE chapter 15 we hit our first road block, ship Defense Droid - we cannot get by it, with low level companion Scorpio - found some guides that spoke of higher rated gear, we were both only around 250 rating. We're just found this guide and will be using to build ourselves up, the Conquest Gear alone sets us at 324 average rating. we'll sure to use it as work out gear as we move further towards building up our 1st end game gear set.
Thank you SOOOOO much for your dedication to this game. I knew I wasn't going to stay way forever and ended up coming back sooner than I thought, but it was enough time to forget 6.0's meta and learn the new setup... I may have assumed the worst and been wrong in the end, at the same time, the break was good for me.
So glad I sub to your channel. I have been trying for weeks to get mods from Hyde and Zeek. I have watched so many videos and tried using those methods only to fail. The missing information was the min overall of 324. I had 323. Thank you for your videos they help a lot, especially a solo player like me. 👍 😊 Super thanks! Did a quick upgrade to 324 and mission unlocked. 🎊🎉
I've found this guide invaluable as I've just reached 80 a few weeks ago. Got my 330 earpiece sitting ready, and my overall rating at **323**! Just a little further! Thanks for sharing this approach, which I first found on your website. It's made gearing straightforward and fun!
I like to say thank you because your videos help me out a lot and Star wars the Old Republic I'm very big fan and I love your videos keep up the hard for it
This is an awesome guide, thanks Swtorista! I'm currently alternating between Red Reaper and Cademimu to try and avoid Flashpoint burnout. Just a couple of hundred more FP-1s to go...The grind is real 😂
Just found this out after pushing all my chars already to 330 conquest gear. Would have saved a lot of ressource matrix farming this way. But when you run Veteran FPs with 330 conquest gear, you also have a low drop rate for artefact gear. Got three items after three runs and due to my setup they were all already on 330. Thing is, the mods are exchangable throughout your legacy but you will need to unlook them for two chars at least. One wearing lightsabers and one wearing blasters, so you get hilts and barrels.
Solo player, first time playing in almost 8 years. Almost level 70. Having a blast following your guides. I was using the story order video and just finished the two flashpoints that ended the original story.
Thanks a lot!! The best method for me is to do the first two bosses in FP Red Ripper and then log out and start over. It takes 10 minutes and I get 20. Much faster than doing FP with 3 players. It takes 40 times to complete work to raise the item to 330, but in 2-3 days it's not a problem :)
This helped bunches. Thanks. The tech fragment grind is what's really killing me. And having to be on at a specific time to do starship battles otherwise you spend hours in a queue. But that gear is cheaper and easier to upgrade while giving you the tech frags you need for your other stuff. Wish it wasn't such cancer.
This is even easier now that you can buy FP-1 stabilizers from the Conquest Gear Vendor. The exchange rate is 500 to 200. I had a ton of conquest commendations, so I was able to do this in just a couple of hours.
You should be sponsored by bioware. I haven't played in years. Since KOTFE? I used to watch you ages ago and you popped up for me on YT. You've convinced me to try to pick it up again for at least a sub. I can't believe someone pulled me from FF14.
This is, like your other videos, extremely helpful! One question: my main is a force user. Zeek has hilts that I can pass to my other force users (allowing for the two-hour delay). Zeek does not sell barrels to me. It appears I will need to grind this again with one of my tech alts. Am I missing something? Thanks!
Nice video. It has inspired my plan towards rating 330, (especially for preferred players!): 1. Using conquest commendations, purchase one full rating 320 Noble Decurion set for your discipline. 2. Do dailies and heroics to manually upgrade ALL your Noble Decurion gear to 324. You can do this by collecting 840 Daily Resource Matrixes and upgrading to 322 and then collecting 980 Daily Resource Matrixes to reach 324. 3. Do dailies and heroics to eventually get 999 Daily Resource Matrixes in your hand. 4. Do master mode flashpoints, with the weeklies to get FP-1 stabilizers and blue upgrade boxes (you MUST keep as many as you can). Keep one to upgrade till 330 and disintegrate the rest to harvest FP-1 stabilizers. Do this till you get 2500 FP-1 stabilizers. 5. Remember to periodically transfer credits to the legacy storage if you are a preferred player as you have a 1 million credit cap. 6: Remember to complete conquests to eventually get 2500 Conquest Commendation. 7. Take the mods mission from the level 80 mods vendor after reaching rating 324. 8. Take the blue gear you chose to upgrade and upgrade it all the way to rating 330. 9. Disintegrate that upgraded blue rating 330 gear to progress the mission (it should be on rating 330 prototype). 10. Return to the level 80 mods mission giver to unlock the level 80 mods that are rating 330 blue for purchase. 11. Buy a full moddable armor set. 12. Add the mods of your choice or need to the moddable armor you have. You need 2.5 million credits for this (mainhand, offhand, head, chest, hands, wrists, feet, legs, and waist), so withdraw from your legacy storage when needed. Mind the 1 million credit cap if you are a preferred player! 13. Use the blue boxes, FP-1 stabilizers, conquest commendations, credits and daily resource matrixes to upgrade the relics, the earpiece and the implants to 330 blue. 14 Use leftover currency (and boxes, if possible) to help repeat for the alts. @Swtorista, here it is!
nice list!! I've been wondering how far a preferred player can go and it sounds like pretty far as long as you employ tricks like the credits in legacy bank!
Thank you so much for the video version of this guide! It’s so much easier for me to understand when I hear an actual person speaking the information! Though now that we have Lvl 80 Mods, it makes me wonder what the point of the entire new gear system they made even was. Why have a system of resources and upgrade trees when they could have just put in Lvl 80 Mods from the start? For that matter, why are Lvl 75 Mods _still_ restricted to the Lootbox Vendor and reward drops? It just doesn’t make sense to me that they would try to reinvent the wheel _and_ bend over backwards to try and accommodate the new wheels with the perfectly good old ones.
cheers! yes I think video/audio works better for many people. originally, I think the goal was to make the static pieces, as they are definitely easier to understand and cut down the number of items you need to manage. then they had planned to add the mods for top-tier players who like the min-max and get just the right distribution. This scale of gear wasn't really meant for casual/solo players it's just cool we have access to it - i was expecting it to be only available for top tier players.
@@Swtorista I play Solo PvE and I _always_ use the mods. I level so fast that I only use quest gear for the outfitter. It may be because I'm not knowledgeable about the inner workings of MMOs, but the SoW and Upgrade Tree systems just feel like a waste of resources to me. That's time and effort that could have been spent on something else. Like, say, an overhaul to the non-PvP space combat, more uses for the _flood_ of companions you get during the Zakuul Saga, or even little things like having Akaavi and Mako hang out when you recruit them, making the crew members look like they're actually _doing something_ instead of standing around like mannequins, having a physically compatible companion sit inside a two-seater car with you, or any number of other things related to _actual content._ IMHO, even cosmetic "immersion" stuff is of more use than a fully fledged out gearing system that's going to be abandoned after an update or two.
After cutting my losses and beginning the disappointing process of leveling new characters on a new server (I was on Star Forge for a couple of years but the lack of a stable connection in Australia makes it better to play on a less populated server like Satele Shan) I was running veteran flashpoints at very low levels. I've collected a full set of 320 gear which I'll be using once I hit 80 in a couple of days. Since I'm still crawling through story content in anticipation of hitting the DLC with friends we all wanted to have a head start on gearing after enjoying Mando Raiders a couple dozen times. It's been a great opportunity to brush up on our teamwork. None of us really care about efficient gearing, that's just a nice bonus to preparing for DLC content. Next stop, Makeb!
Great work as always, Swtorista! Having been a player since Beta, I have been trying to get more people to play, but I feel the videos you post likely do more than I ever could on Twitch. I just hope they consider doing Twitch Drops sometime, people love free swag.
Is the ilvl324 thing still something you need to do? I have access to Hyde and Zeke, and the deconstruction mission, without that threshold. It was also in the 7.1.1 patch notes that "Hyde and Zeek are now available to all players at level 80, regardless of their Item Rating." Can you confirm this? I'm not sure I want to deconstruct that precious 330 piece if there's like an internal check or something. Thanks for all your content and hard work!
Ive just returned to game in 2024 and used this method, working on a 332 upgrade now so i can go higher. Only downside is now not many groups running the R4 Anomaly :(
When I opened this video my main was already 'half way through' your guide. Now my earpiece and relics are at 330, but my IR rating overall is still at 323. 🙂
Most players: I Must grind out level 80 gear to get to the highest gear I can. Me: Gotta grind out those ancient artifact crates to get the Remnant Underworld Knight boots to finally drop and finish the set...I know my priorities. My Ops group do not see the importance in my quest :P
Back in version 6 I was getting crate drops of kit in the mid to high 290s. Yep I know way below 330, but there was no grind just playing the story arc got me there, and for most stuff in Story mode not an issue; I was even getting through the Star Fortress with only 1-2 deaths in the end fight. Since 7.1 came in, the mods stopped dropping with the renown crates, and I can't see the point of higher level quests and endless grind, with what I believed to be an over complicated system to make high end kit. So I ditched my subscription and just do F2P with friends and cycle our "toons" once we complete Corellia. I'm still thinking of keeping a few favorite toons in my stable and taking them out from time to time, so thank you for the tutorial I might give it a go later if I get the chance as having some high end mods would be nice. As while the process still looks like a grind it seems a bit more straight forward and you only have to do it once in the Legacy-account. I'd also been looking at a balance power and mastery mods with a slight focus on accuracy and alacrity .. but I'll try switching that up a bit more now. I'm assuming you are saying Power & Mastery are not worth it? I assume the process still works with F2P and not just Sub-scribription based players
Hey, I was just reading the guide and I believe the fastest way to get gear is to the PvP Tyrsian gear. I costs like 70 daily tokens and pvp tokens to get from 316 to 328. Then from there you can do Operations to get Rakata to get gear that can go above it, or turn it once you get 330 to Hyde.
There is one Master Mode Flashpoint boss, that you can do under 10 minutes, as solo. Someone recorded a YT video about it some time ago already, I will give only few details here, as I did it already like 20 or more times, as Shadow, kinetic combat tank. It is Shivanek, in Taral V FP. Gear for tank, best is stealth tank, but no stealth works too, although a bit more difficult, when you need to skip outpost entry where Shivanek is. As stealth, you can go right slot in entrance and entrance guard will not spot you. From start to Shivanek, you need to destroy 2 or 3 (as you choose) stations exploding monsters, do not fight them - they are killed all when they all approach station, let them come. Shivanek is best defeated shortly before his beast, but you need to kill them around the same time, otherwise they can easily kill you with enrage attack. 330 tank can defeat shivanek easily. For farming, you need to reset-abandon later, there is a limit per hour, but each time you always get blue, supreme decurion armor piece from shivanek, doable under 10 minutes. One more thing, that first "boss" fight with two "cats", skip - it gives like no armor drops.
Oh you can actually solo Master Mode Red Reaper too. But our research led to the fact that.. well, you really don't need to, so might as well do Veteran mode for this path to gearing! If you are fast you can solo ALL of red reaper in about 10 minutes.
@@Swtorista I will try Master Mode Red Reaper solo, Veteran mode is actually quite easy, not sure how easy is Master Mode. stealth tank will probably help a lot
Hey Swtorista. Is all gear bound to legacy? Meaning I can do this guide with one character and use the 230 earpiece, 224 gear, and legendary implants to unlock the 230 blue mods vendor for each of my characters? Thanks for the reply if you happen to.
Hello! In general, in the game, not all gear is legacy bound. The gear in this guide though, totally is legacy-bound. Don't forget you are "destroying" that 330 earpiece so you won't have it available for character #2 though lol. Instead, you can always just unlock the vendor on one character, and then what you buy form the vendor is legacy-bound and you can mail the pieces to your other characters.
@@Swtorista I see. So I'll still have to grind the earpieces, implants, and relics all to 330 on each character? 7.0 is draining. I have five characters on pub side, each with two loadouts. I'd basically have to make SWTOR my full-time job (with overtime) to gear everyone. Ew. Thank you for the clarification tho!
I went 320 conquest -> 328 pvp via boxes and upgrades -> solo red reaper and blue flashpoint 328 -> upgrade said 328 to 330. The problem with this is that Hyde and Zeek are unlocked only for one character and you need to buy mods and transfer to other characters kinda inconvenient and for no reason. Though at least with 7.1 you don't need to go through pvp way to 328 on every character, like it was in 7.0 with 326, which for me, as for altoholic, is huge deal.
Wow, that's deep to get. Really nice. I don't think if I'll be able to go that far, as I like to have my shield enhancements for arms and chests and absorption ratings as relics in each armor despite the different disciplines! I know I'm weird: I play solo, hence the shield/absorption ratings.
Heads up unless you are playing a Tank and have a Shield Generator, you don't actually get the benefit from shield/absorb!!! Those two stats are "Shield: the chance for your shield (offhand) to proc. / Absorb: the amount of damage your shield will absorb when it procs." more info www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=974508
Great guide, but I have one question.. Why buy a yellow earpiece? You're either wearing the low level one to trick it for a blue, or you can wear the blue (that you got on the first run and are upgrading) while you're doing other things. I feel like there is something I am missing here.
if i understand your question right: while you are running red reaper over and over, you want it to drop an 'accessory' item which forces the item to be blue. otherwise it will drop randomly a blue or green item, and the green items are more likely and worth les currency. if you're doing any non-red-reaper activities feel free to wear your better earpiece!
@@Swtorista Thanks for the reply. you sort of got the question but didn't answer why a total of 3 ear pieces? 1 the low level earpiece you're tricking the game to spawn a blue 2 the blue you have tricked and are upgrading 3 the yellow you bought but is pointless to wear because you have the other two (this is the one I have questions about) 2 scenarios. 1) Running Red Reaper , so I wear the low level to trick 2) doing ANYTHING else wear the blue I got on the first run as it's better than the the yellow and the low level I have This is more of a clarification of my question (hopefully :) ) but don't really need to respond. I am following your video (great stuff) and was a VERY minor question I thought would drop off.
Thanks so much for this. I've come back after a few years away and wondered how i was going to get better gear. I have one question though. I've gotten to Point 7. Upgrade Your Blue Piece and I've upgraded it to rating 322. Now how exactly do I upgrade it again? Do I simply go back to Zena Horne on the fleet, and she'll see it and let me upgrade it again??
Nautolans don't have ears, it is ok if I make a relic my precious baby? Great outfit at 6:23! Truly jealous that I can't wear hats, really brings it all together 😊
Red Reaper is surprisingly easy to solo without stealth using my Pyrotech. I did almost have a few close calls like almost getting yeeted into the abyss by Sith Juggernaut enemies or something like that, and getting overwhelmed by a lot of enemies. But it was easy nonetheless.
Hey Swotorista, i've been searching wiki as well as youtube, and haven't been able to find any videos whatsoever on different saber crystal sounds - because i noticed that different crystals add different sound effects to your saber... any place where i can check that? if not, thought about making that video? :D
is there any rule in modables got on a deconstruct? for example, if i deconstruct an ear, i will get the same thing as i would have deconstructed a chest?
I think the thing that matters more is the item-earing and the border-color of the gear. I'm not sure if ear/chest matters. We're trying to deconstruct blue pieces instead of standard green ones in this guide as they gives a lot more.
welcome to the game! yep repeat! IMPORTANT NOTE! There was a recent change. You do not need an overall item rating of 324 anymore. I have not tested it yet tho.
Hi! Higher than 330 is from the new operation. swtorista.com/articles/swtor-level-80-gearing-guide/ see these sections: Story Mode R-4 Anomaly / Veteran Mode R-4 Anomaly
Great guide, but I seem to miss something. I've got a mix of 322 and 324 pieces plus the 252 earpiece from Ossus. The first thing I do is kill the RR boss and it drops a green pair of 324 boots... Edit: okay, got a full set of 324s minus the earpiece and voila, RR boss drops the blue earpiece.
This is my first time really "gearing" in this game before I just kind of mashed buttons and played for the story. Idk if I did something weird the earpiece I got the first time I did red reaper was 324. Will that still work or do I need to do something different? (It was still blue border)
Thank you so much for this amazing guide! Definitely a life saver for returning players! I have upgraded my earpiece to 330 and about to unlock Hyde and Zeek but noticed they have up to item level 336. Should I try to upgrade the earpiece to that item level if Im able to or will the the max item level possible for solo players still be 330?
After this it gets more complicated and you gotta do some group stuff. swtorista.com/articles/swtor-level-80-gearing-guide/ But you can work on your legendary implants (can be solo) swtorista.com/articles/legendary-implants/
Great work as usual, I know I'm late to the party. But, I noticed that I get the FP-1 Stabilizers and the Blue ear piece to breakdown from all flashpoints using your method. Why did you recommend Red Reaper primarily?
The only issue - and it isn't anything said wrong here... If you pick a Force user for the first run, you get access to Level 80 Hilts... but not Barrels So for all your gun carrying characters, you get to do this... twice. I was fortunate that I already had plenty of the FP-1, so my first go around I only needed to do the first boss in The Red Reaper. Now comes the grind so I can get the barrels.
I don't know how I'd make it in this game without your advice. I did this in a couple days and I'm so happy with the results!
Congratulations you did it!

Is just sad how counterintuitive this new system is. Thanks for the guide, but I really miss the 6.x gearing system
honestly it's faster than grinding out tech frags to buy a single set piece and doing that 6 times.

That's awesome! Glad to hear you are wroking together!
Thank you SOOOOO much for your dedication to this game. I knew I wasn't going to stay way forever and ended up coming back sooner than I thought, but it was enough time to forget 6.0's meta and learn the new setup... I may have assumed the worst and been wrong in the end, at the same time, the break was good for me.
cheers! welcome back!
AS a solo player, this is much appreciated!
cheers!! this one took a lot of research so super happy to have it out.
So glad I sub to your channel. I have been trying for weeks to get mods from Hyde and Zeek. I have watched so many videos and tried using those methods only to fail. The missing information was the min overall of 324. I had 323. Thank you for your videos they help a lot, especially a solo player like me. 👍 😊
Super thanks! Did a quick upgrade to 324 and mission unlocked. 🎊🎉
Yes! The silly vendors aren't clear that you need 324 overall, we had to figure that out from testing lol. Nice job unlocking it!
I was told i need 328 overall. Thanks for the informative video, stumbled on it today.
I've found this guide invaluable as I've just reached 80 a few weeks ago. Got my 330 earpiece sitting ready, and my overall rating at **323**! Just a little further!
Thanks for sharing this approach, which I first found on your website. It's made gearing straightforward and fun!
congrats so close!
I like to say thank you because your videos help me out a lot and Star wars the Old Republic I'm very big fan and I love your videos keep up the hard for it
cheers!
came back after years, and swtorista is still the best
Oh, this isn't a grind. A grind is when you had to gear up from 270 to 306 and only by two item rating for each other
Wow, worked great for me thanks for the video. Only been playing for 2 weeks and thanks to you I've got some great gear :)
niceeee!
thank you so much! this is also great strategy for people (like me) who do play group content minus all the high end operations and mm stuff
yes!!! this is great for flashpoint players too
Thanks for this. I will jump right in and grind it. I have been sitting stale with my solo maxed conquest gear. Should be fun.
This is an awesome guide, thanks Swtorista! I'm currently alternating between Red Reaper and Cademimu to try and avoid Flashpoint burnout. Just a couple of hundred more FP-1s to go...The grind is real 😂
cheers and smart to rotate!
this is a fantastic guide, kudos on finding the right path forward
Great help, like always!
Awesome. I have never tried a FP so now I will since I know its possible and worth it. Cheers.
Great video and tips. Red Reaper was my jam for 6.0 gearing. New system is confusing for me as a returning player.
That was a great informative video. Thank you :D
Solo player, first time playing in almost 8 years. Almost level 70. Having a blast following your guides. I was using the story order video and just finished the two flashpoints that ended the original story.
glad you're enjoying it! nice job finishing the original game!
I'll definitely try this out, thanks!
just came back to game after a long break (last addon i played was KOET) and this helped me alot. thanks!
I just finished and got my 330 gear! Thank you so much!
I had a ton of conquest commendations, so I was able to do this in just a couple of hours.
right! woohoo!
Returned after 4 years and only sitting at 268 gear. Sad, i know. Thanks for the guide. Cant wait to give this try.
Haha! Getting 324 at least is very easy.
Thanks!
Hi! See if using the DROPDOWNS at the top of the vendor list helps.
@@Swtorista Yes! When I switched to view All, the barrel showed up. Thanks!
This is sick. I'm going to do this lol. Thanks.
second comment lol, also thank you swtorista your contribution to the SWTOR community is invaluable.
Nice video. It has inspired my plan towards rating 330, (especially for preferred players!):
@Swtorista, here it is!
nice list!! I've been wondering how far a preferred player can go and it sounds like pretty far as long as you employ tricks like the credits in legacy bank!
@@Swtorista Another thing. Do not abandon or cancel the mission once you start it.
Man.... I can't do this.
Thank you for the guide. I request you make a guide for r4 Anomaly veteran mode, I really want those 340 gear
Haha! Very few teams have even cleared R4 HM. I'm probably not even going to be able to clear the first boss personally.
Next stop, Makeb!
very nice, glad you are having fun together!
Great work as always, Swtorista! Having been a player since Beta, I have been trying to get more people to play, but I feel the videos you post likely do more than I ever could on Twitch. I just hope they consider doing Twitch Drops sometime, people love free swag.
Definitely gonna take your advice :)
Thank you for this guide.
great guide, thanks :)
Hello! They changed it very recently!! I haven't tested it yet tho sorry! I would assume its safe if you can talk to them.
Super dope this was very helpful 😁👍🏻 im still getting to know the game
Ive just returned to game in 2024 and used this method, working on a 332 upgrade now so i can go higher. Only downside is now not many groups running the R4 Anomaly :(
When I opened this video my main was already 'half way through' your guide. Now my earpiece and relics are at 330, but my IR rating overall is still at 323. 🙂
Oh you are so close!
I did it.. I finally unlocked it. Thanks for the guide, miss.
Good job! Thank you for the video
Great video. It actually makes me want to return.
Most players: I Must grind out level 80 gear to get to the highest gear I can.
Me: Gotta grind out those ancient artifact crates to get the Remnant Underworld Knight boots to finally drop and finish the set...I know my priorities. My Ops group do not see the importance in my quest :P
fashion is important! lol
I know its a bit late since the update haha.
I've been dragging my feet on gearing up, but this looks pretty painless.
it actually is though buddy, sorry.
I’ve watched this video like 15 times and I still don’t 100% get it… this game is too much for my brain but I love it so much!
@@Swtorista Putting these 330 mods into Legacy Bound gear now binds the gear to your character. You cannot transfer it.
Though at least with 7.1 you don't need to go through pvp way to 328 on every character, like it was in 7.0 with 326, which for me, as for altoholic, is huge deal.
yes if you're doing non-solo methods this can go even faster!
Just got my 330 gear. Fun grind. Now I gotta do it again for my imp main
I feel like there is something I am missing here.
if i understand your question right:
while you are running red reaper over and over, you want it to drop an 'accessory' item which forces the item to be blue. otherwise it will drop randomly a blue or green item, and the green items are more likely and worth les currency. if you're doing any non-red-reaper activities feel free to wear your better earpiece!
@@Swtorista Thanks for the reply. you sort of got the question but didn't answer why a total of 3 ear pieces?
1 the low level earpiece you're tricking the game to spawn a blue
2 the blue you have tricked and are upgrading
3 the yellow you bought but is pointless to wear because you have the other two (this is the one I have questions about)
2 scenarios.
1) Running Red Reaper , so I wear the low level to trick
2) doing ANYTHING else wear the blue I got on the first run as it's better than the the yellow and the low level I have
This is more of a clarification of my question (hopefully :) ) but don't really need to respond.
Hello! Yes if you went from 320->322 you just keep going back to that same vendor each time to upgrade it.
Nautolans don't have ears, it is ok if I make a relic my precious baby? Great outfit at 6:23! Truly jealous that I can't wear hats, really brings it all together 😊
EARS ONLY!
As someone with no friends or guild, this is almost necessary.
Awesome video.. Thank you for the explanation.
Hey! It shouldn't be by crystal, it should be by different lightsaber. I don't have a list of sounds or anything.
is there any rule in modables got on a deconstruct? for example, if i deconstruct an ear, i will get the same thing as i would have deconstructed a chest?
I think the thing that matters more is the item-earing and the border-color of the gear. I'm not sure if ear/chest matters. We're trying to deconstruct blue pieces instead of standard green ones in this guide as they gives a lot more.
Ouch I might go back to the game and I have no idea where to start
just came back to swtor couple weeks ago and (as always find your guides for gearing
welcome to the game! yep repeat! IMPORTANT NOTE! There was a recent change. You do not need an overall item rating of 324 anymore. I have not tested it yet tho.
Hey SWTORISTA, i saw many players on my Servers who got a Rating of 331 or 334. How do i get Items that are ablve 330?
Hi! Higher than 330 is from the new operation. swtorista.com/articles/swtor-level-80-gearing-guide/ see these sections: Story Mode R-4 Anomaly / Veteran Mode R-4 Anomaly
Might want to edit the section about upgrade requirements, since the devs made that much easier/cheaper with the last upgrade.
Great guide, but I seem to miss something. I've got a mix of 322 and 324 pieces plus the 252 earpiece from Ossus. The first thing I do is kill the RR boss and it drops a green pair of 324 boots...
Edit: okay, got a full set of 324s minus the earpiece and voila, RR boss drops the blue earpiece.
yep things changed slightly, you need full 324s now first
This is my first time really "gearing" in this game before I just kind of mashed buttons and played for the story. Idk if I did something weird the earpiece I got the first time I did red reaper was 324. Will that still work or do I need to do something different? (It was still blue border)
Haha! Yes the "gear floor" went up. So make sure all your pieces are 324 or up, and3 324 is the lowest that will drop for your earpiece.
So these days I have to choose 340 (when talking to Hyde and Zeeke) right?
Thank you so much for this amazing guide! Definitely a life saver for returning players! I have upgraded my earpiece to 330 and about to unlock Hyde and Zeek but noticed they have up to item level 336. Should I try to upgrade the earpiece to that item level if Im able to or will the the max item level possible for solo players still be 330?
\Yeah! The new max is 336, shoot for that, same process though.
@@Swtorista dope!! Thanks for the reply! I appreciate you!
I would have never even heard of Hide and Zeek without this video wtf
they're a bit hidden!
I'd really like to know whats the best way to get better gear after this. Otherwise great video
After this it gets more complicated and you gotta do some group stuff. swtorista.com/articles/swtor-level-80-gearing-guide/
But you can work on your legendary implants (can be solo) swtorista.com/articles/legendary-implants/
Thank you soo much Swtoritsa, you have no idea how helpful you are to others, I can’t believe how some people take you for granted. Have a nice day.
question is it worth running the expansions on all chars or just skip them if u done it before?
Totally up to you. Some expansions are worth running once imperial once republic as they are different. Sometimes I skip other times I don't.
@@Swtorista yeh i done them on both so woundering if its worth running them on others as they bring companions bk but guess it no matter as much
Thank you for this
Great work as usual, I know I'm late to the party. But, I noticed that I get the FP-1 Stabilizers and the Blue ear piece to breakdown from all flashpoints using your method. Why did you recommend Red Reaper primarily?
I don't see the red reaper mission in the solo tab?
Edit: nvm you have to go there manually it seems.
yep! it's not technically a solo activity
The only issue - and it isn't anything said wrong here...
If you pick a Force user for the first run, you get access to Level 80 Hilts... but not Barrels
So for all your gun carrying characters, you get to do this... twice.
I was fortunate that I already had plenty of the FP-1, so my first go around I only needed to do the first boss in The Red Reaper. Now comes the grind so I can get the barrels.
