I use my JACO now more than my Snap On in the last 2 years. I love Jaco gauge.
Purchased the Jaco Digital Elite Pro 100 from Amazon. The air release valve was not sealing correctly. Even though I was depressing the button I could hear air escaping while checking the tire pressure. The problem was intermittent. I contacted Jaco and they sent me a new unit, no questions asked. When the new unit arrived a few days later it did not have this problem. I went to test the two units against each other. They read the same. Oddly, the original Jaco unit was no longer letting air escape without the valve button being depressed. Perhaps there was a metal shaving or something that had since worked it's way loose allowing the valve to seal correctly? The Jaco's also have a lifetime warranty. Hard to beat that along with the great customer service I experienced.

I use a digital gauge the goes to hundredths for racing. It has been good. Sensitive enough that it changes when the barometer changes. You will zero it then use it later in the day and it’s a .08 plus or minus for example
Just bought four of these! Two are 60 two are 15. They rock. Had a capri but would not hold the air reading after removing from tire…..
How was the slime in terms of accuracy ?

i have the JACO analog product... checked it against my grandfather's which he stole from Douglass... ya it was a time dont judge. and another digital air meter.... this product checks all the marks for me.with the sensors being so weird these days you need to have a clue of how bad they are the door says 30lbs... no 34 to 35 lbs keeps the semcors quiet. (lexus 350).... a good guage will save you heart ach.
Often times when gauges/ pumps aren't reading correctly, it's from tire sealant/ slime build up on seals. Can usually be cleaned out & mostly renewed. Suprised you protect your gauge. Figured you just threw it in your jack bag?
I have the same Jaco tire pressure gauge, but my go-to is my old school analog Blue Point gauge. I am surprised you didn't show one of those pencil type gauges... I think I must have a dozen of those lying around that I've collected over the years.
I figured my antique Schrader one was close enough.
Now I can shave another 100th off my lap time at Daytona

Good choice! I much prefer the longer one simply because getting a tight seal on the valve step means perfect alignment. Some truck and car wheels have limited clearance.

Just used my Jaco Elite for the first time (Amazon $30.84 with free delivery and coupon). I'd give it give it a 10 for ease of use and reading. Readings were -5 on all readings from the built-in reading from my Grand Cherokee. Until I found out the Jeep numbers won't refresh for the first 20-30 minutes after you start the engine. So what good is that apart from reporting punctures ?
Got a keeper in the Yaco I think. Might buy a second one.
Purchased one based on the video since I needed a gauge with a higher top end than my Longacre 0-60 psi manual gauge. The hose is slightly too short in my opinion and the deflator button did not relieve air very quickly. The gauge was lethargic to register the reduced pressure after deflating. Sorry Doc, I’ll disagree with you on this one- its going back and a 0-100 psi Longacre has been ordered.
On average how long would a Jaco last before it needs new batteries?
I don't have that answer. But I did wonder why people make electronic devices that are generally high quality............then ship them with garbage no-name batteries in ? For the difference in cost, I'd ship with quality batteries.
I like my JACO but on my new car when I try to read a pressure air just leaks out like crazy. There is no seal between the valve stem and gauge. Is there a fix for that?

Can you get that Jaco for presta valves?
I haven't see one, but you can use a Schrader/Presta converter. i tried it and it works. Just take several readings to make sure you have the full pressure. I got a couple low readings when I did it quick. Also, your S/P converter needs to allow access to the unscrewed presto valve by the JACO's chuck. A pain, I know, but it did work for me.

I should get a little better one, I just have the cheap metal pen-type gauges.
Another overly complicated device, batteries and electronics where neither is needed. Tough to beat a mechanical pressure gauge that always works.
