      @@jwatterson69 We actually have found that it doesn't matter which direction you insert the spring :) and you only need to do this after some time if dust/debris gets inside of the inner workings of the gauge which breaks the seal preventing it to hold the PSI reading on the dial.

      @@jwatterson69 Hello! Great Question. I’ve got the instructions I’ll attach here in a minute. Take Care!

    • @Kevscancave
      @Kevscancave  2 роки тому +2

      Here’s what I have nice to know it doesn’t matter. But this should help either way!
      - Step 1 - Unscrew the unit from the mid brass stem to disconnect the air hose from the housing of the gauge.
      - Step 2 - Carefully remove the three internal parts that are near that connection opening: (1) black disc (2) clear disc (3) spring
      - Step 3 - Gently clean these three components by blowing on them to remove any small dust particles and/or lightly wiping with a clean cloth and a small amount of WD40 or similar cleaner/lube. The key is to remove any tiny dust particles that may be blocking the seal to prevent the pressure reading from holding.
      - Step 4 - Make sure gauge housing is facing upright, then re-insert the internal parts by first inserting the spring (wider end facing up), followed by the clear disc, followed by the black disc on top.
      - Step 5 - Re-connect the air hose to the gauge housing and check to see if the problem is fixed.

    Yep, you have me sold on this TP gauge. Your video is about the 3rd UA-cam video I watched advertising this gauge. With gas prices the way they are, keeping a sharp eye on my vehicle tire’s correct pressure to help with the overall MPGs is a must. Those $1 gauges you get at Walmart are so sketchy and hard to read for the proper pressure reading.

      @chadfield376 Good deal💯 I hope it works out well for you! I’ve never had a nice gauge till I bought Jaco.. You just can’t beat the fact they stand behind their products.! Thanks Chad

    This video may have made me spend 10 more dollars but I couldn't be happier. Almost made the mistake of buying a cheap chinese-made one until I realized the reason I need a new one is because I already made that mistake. Also, hearing about your customer service experience and seeing that they commented on this video even though you have minimal subscribers is a breath of fresh air in today's world.

    im have to agree with this... been through a few, and one has to fight with the tire air sencor which is a nightmear... so i wanted a gauge i could count on... i bought this and 3 others... this guage was the best of all 4 and agreed with 3 of the 4.

    This black gauge that says Jaco and comes apart is a really nice gauge it’s so accurate. The blue one that’s digital isn’t giving me such a good experience maybe It needs to be adjusted.

    I bought that same gauge. Love the gauge, love the features, but mine seems to consistently measure two pounds higher than the actual reading based on several other gauges and TPMS in two cars. And as you well know 2# in a motorcycle tire is significant. Ran across your video while searching for a new gauge.

    • @Kevscancave
      @Kevscancave  Рік тому

      Hey J ! Thanks for you comment 👍It’s great to hear from fellow Motorcycle enthusiasts! That’s a great test you’ve done. You’ve taken measurements and comparisons beyond what I have. I’ve never bought a “decent” gauge before.. I’ve always used Cheapos..not saying they weren’t accurate! I’ve always ran TP a couple #’s under max. . It would be neat if you could calibrate to other devices you have. … so their all all on the same sheet of music! I’ll get JACO’s opinion … please stand by! Again, Thanks!

    • @JDye-youtube
      @JDye-youtube Рік тому +4

      @@Kevscancave Unfortunately, comparisons are about the only way to get a feel for accuracy. A man with one watch thinks he knows exactly what time it is, a man with two watches has absolutely no idea what time it is and a man with three watches can be reasonably sure what time it is.

      Michael, yes, if you over- inflate, you can bleed off the excess with the side valve. Thanks for your comment!

    I like this, but this product is not holding the air. When I meter the tire, the aire is coming out a little , so I am not able to meter correctly. Do you have any solution?

    • @Kevscancave
      @Kevscancave  2 роки тому +1

      Raylin, appreciate the comment. If you, 1) tried the disk cleaning…
      2) you made sure that the two fittings above the swivels are tight ( easy to overlook)( hand tight works)
      3)check the rubber o-ring is ok on top portion of hose… this is what I know. Try all that!
