    This was the most thorough information on grow lights I have heard. Now I need to rearrange my plants under the grow lights. Had them all together getting the same amount of hours under the lights. 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

    Thank you so much! This was really informative and also great explained how to use these, the difference, combining them etc. I've read and watched everything related to light for indoor plants and what I should buy before it get so dark here in Sweden. Still no lamps haha couldn't find anything that wasn't all about just one or way to large and lighting up the house for the neighbors! 😄 Finally understand what the difference is and what I need! Thank you for all the details. I am new to plant lights and I recently purchased a fullspecrum LED 80w grow light. I have a question please... I have partial shade plants (wax begonias, ivy, Lilly of the valley, prayer plant, etc), but even on the brightest setting the light seems dim. I have it about 4" from the leaves at present. Is 80 watts enough? It's a 4 arm light so I can adjust it, but the brightness on it's highest setting seems yellow not white even though it's listed as full spectrum. The plants are in a corner away from windows. Thanks, Tamara

      @PlantsandLucia  3 роки тому

      Hi! I just saw I missed your comment..! As long as you are providing consistent light and they are not getting natural light in the day and grow lights in the night, it should be okay.. You want to provide your plants with the light conditions that they need... What I did here is that for my high light loving plants, I places them close to a grow light 8 hours during the day (as here we do not receive so much light during the day in the winter), and then I'd turn the grow light off at night :)

    this was very helpful and i learned a lot but i'm still confused - is there a disadvantage to using the red and blue LED lights? do you have yo use them for a shorter period of time or is it also just dependent on the plant?

      Hiiii! I am sorry I missed your comment before. I am actually premiering a video on this very question where I talk about different kinds of LED grow lights and how to choose the best one for you. You can find it here: ua-cam.com/video/1k4HI9PkXos/v-deo.html
      Hope you make it to the premiere :-)

    Hey Lucia, awesome content, helped me a lot! I have a Venus Fly Trap and I think it needs more sunlight than I'm able to provide!! haha I'm wondering about using LED commoun light to help it grow but I coudn't find any information about the wattage, what do you recommend me since it's a full sun plant?

      Dying to get those... how easy/hard are they to take care of?
      Good for youuuu Leonardo!!

    • @leonardohrtrock
      @leonardohrtrock 3 роки тому

      @@pickledjalapeno9482 heey!! I think it's a matter of adaptation to this type of plant. The way you take care of it is different, but it’s really not hard! Always remember that the soil should consist of sphagnum moss (never use regular soil), the sun should be full and you must always leave the soil moist (almost soggy). Following these steps, I'm sure you won't have any difficulties! if you buy from a non-specialist store, remember to gradually place it in the sun so as not to burn the leaves. Important to take note: at certain times of the years, they tend to hibernate and appear to have died (but they haven’t 😂). In short, it has some peculiarities, but if you do a little research, you can understand a lot about it and succeed. Good luck, I'm sure you'll love them! 🥰

    I'm thinking about getting some lights I've just started getting into plants. from what I've learned my light isn't strong enough to be considered bright indirect light. the plants I have may be alright, but I want them to thrive. if I get lights do I need to only use them when the sun is down? or do I use the lights in combo with whatever comes in the window.

    Great video surrounding my LED grow lights with indoor plants! Because I do not have north or south windows in my home, at all. Only small east and west. I have all my plants in the middle of my home on the banister with large skylight. Works well during summer. But all other months is cloudy and not much sun. How do I compensate with grow lights?? Or where to try and move plants separately? I saw you have cord of light strings and thought that is so awesome! Help!!!
    I have orchids, snake, pepperomia, palm and rubber plants.

      Hi! I am sorry I missed your comment! I have most of my high light loving plants together close to a grow light :). I'd say, check how much light your plants need, and if it is similar you can group them together under a grow light :)
      I know the snake plant is more adaptable in terms of light! The other ones depend on the type.. how did you do it in the end?

    • @jus4TrUtH
      @jus4TrUtH 3 роки тому

      @@PlantsandLucia I have, for the most part, kept them all together on the banister. However, when I took my rubber plant, ice-fed orchid and snake plants downstairs to water, my ice-fed orchid IMMEDIATELY perked up, before I even put her in the water. The orchid has not bloomed since I received it about 3 years ago. I've decided to keep all 3 downstairs... In.The. Kitchen. It definitely is not brighter in the kitchen like under the skylight on the banister upstairs under the skylight. But because they seem to love it downstairs, that's where I've been keeping them. Just like children LOL!
