Mines have phone link and the 3 options are android usb android WiFi or iPhone wifi and when u turn on Bluetooth on ur phone the radio does show up to connect but nothing like what u just did

Does the sensors for the cars surroundings work? And what about being able to use the steering buttons like volume for the android? Will it work with a Japanese Honda accord?

you can either get a hotspot(i did that) or you can get an active sim card and just plug it into the radio

Yes, with this unit you can. That being said, if you are running the Carplay app, I don't think it allows it.
