I added full exhaust system, intake, short shifter, check valve deletes, coils etc and even bit into a pedal commander that opened up the throttle for sure. My uncle in law gifted to me he's beloved 7th gen Accord v6 coupe 2006 model last year with 192,000 miles. Im so happy and very excited on that day. Im so proud driving this car❤
The 4 cyl Gen 7 Accords were actually the better car. Everyone loves the 6 cyl, but the 4 cyl is lighter, gives the car much better front to back handling; and is much less stressful on the overall car, including steering, engine mounts. The 4 cyl gets much better gas mileage, is a better design, and has a timing chain, so it's not necessary to change the chain! NO TIMING BELT CHANGES! Much less maint on the 4 cyl; only needs 10K oil changes; stated in the manual, oil changes only required every 10K miles!
I just picked up a 07 Accord 4D with a K24 today!!! I'm so excited. I'm currently stripping the interior to deep clean it . Tomorrow night is engine bay.

I’ve had three Accord, two of them have been 2006 7.5th gen’s. One of them was a K24 with the 5 speed that I drove to 410,000 miles with the full original drivetrain. I sold it and it’s still being driven. The other is a J30 6 speed sedan which are quite rare (more common in the coupe). I’ve owned it for almost 9 years and it’s one of my favorite cars ever. It now has 220,000 and is dead reliable. It’s fun, decently fast, sporty, good on gas, and practical. It’s even good in the snow with a good set of tires. It’s the ideal daily driver in my book!
7th gen Accord Coupe k24 manual owner here. It's not the fastest thing, but the 5 speed manual makes it fun to drive. There a bunch of room to work on/ maintain your engine because its has to also fit a v6. I'll get 35 mpg on the highway too.

cars that the 3.0l accord can easily hang with on a twisty bumpy backroad: 2016 mustang Gt, 1st gen boxter, e46 m3, FBO 2.5 swapped NC Miata, gt86/frs. The engine has just enough torque and the suspension is extremely capable of handling all sorts of road surfaces. I really wanted a 7th Gen accord but unfortunately I couldn’t find any in my area with less than 150-200K+ miles with the interior’s all torn up and the paint job faded so I went for a 9th gen 2014 accord instead, must’ve been really nice when you could still get a 7th Gen in really good condition with low miles.
I like all the j series engines, but I wish they put the j32a2 type s Acura engine in the accords. I know it’s Acura. I swapped parts on my engine and went FBO from the type s engine. Car moooovves now
Only thing that’s wrong in this video is him praising the k24 and saying the accord comes with it, which isn’t false , it comes with a k24a7 which is an economy, intake vtech only motor, not the desired k24a2 with exhaust side vtech. Other wise good video
By far, one of the best cars I ever had, and still have 😂, V6 03 auto, and she still runs brand new with 80 thousand miles on her.... I feel so freaking lucky, because besides the control arms taking a crap, that is about the only issue iiiv ever had, but doing it yourself is Soo easy and fun 😉
If you manage to find a hybrid variant of the 7th gen accord they put out 255 hp which I believe is the fastest out of the various trims. I have a 2005 Accord Hybrid and the boost you get from the electric motor is very nice.

Also a larger throttle body, got pre cats on mine.
copped mine with 260k for 1.5k, fell in love for my first car
I really wanted a 7th Gen accord but unfortunately I couldn’t find any in my area with less than 150-200K+ miles with the interior’s all torn up and the paint job faded so I went for a 9th gen 2014 accord instead, must’ve been really nice when you could still get a 7th Gen in really good condition with low miles.
Would love to see a deep dive on a g37 or a 370z
Dude, you readed my mind that be a great video......
I like the light weight of the K24; it's much more agile than the heavier v6; V6 makes for a front-heavy car that does not handle as well!
I like all the j series engines, but I wish they put the j32a2 type s Acura engine in the accords. I know it’s Acura. I swapped parts on my engine and went FBO from the type s engine. Car moooovves now
5:11 Hilarious!!! 😂😂😂😂
Only thing that’s wrong in this video is him praising the k24 and saying the accord comes with it, which isn’t false , it comes with a k24a7 which is an economy, intake vtech only motor, not the desired k24a2 with exhaust side vtech. Other wise good video
03-05 comes with the A4, 06-07 came with the A8. but yeah same deal.
Miss my old 1995 accord 5 speed
100% - The K24 is hands down the most reliable engine, EVER!
only con about my 07 k24 is it isntl manual but the car itself is great! LOVE IT!!
I love that auto trans, it just keeps going, 150K on mine. No clutch to replace, love it.
What year is the 7th gen????
2003-07
I own a 7th generation Honda Accord it's a good car.
Sold mines after I've replaced the motor twice since I beat on it. The only cons I have was the lower balljoints. They always fail on me.
If you manage to find a hybrid variant of the 7th gen accord they put out 255 hp which I believe is the fastest out of the various trims. I have a 2005 Accord Hybrid and the boost you get from the electric motor is very nice.
What wheels are those? 7:13
i have a v6 accord. i want to manual swap it so bad. its pretty quick even stock!
My 2.4 was bought at 5k in 2017 at 105k mi, 217k miles later, went almost maintenance free till i wrecked it a year ago😢 2023
Have a 8th gen and 8th gen.. im 6'5 and my 8th gen have way more room. But its a auto and a base model. My 7th gen is a 5 speed with the heated seats and more .
I just bought a really nice 04 4door 5spd with 104k. It's a great car and I'm sure it'll last me a long time
Have an 05, 118k miles. Got a whole list of parts for it, now I just need the funds 😂go figure
I'm in Manchester England, I've bought a 2008 Accord Tourer with K24 and Auto box.
Its like a Grandad car that also takes Anthetamins when you put your foot down.
Pleasecould you recommend cheap and hopefully easy to fit induction kits please?
Amazon / Ebay have a lot. Not sure if I need a specific one for the Airflow sensor?
Great video, have Liked, Subscribed and hears your comment my American brother from another mother. 😊
I got a 5spd manual and a k24 in mine
i can't say more than agree
4th gen on top. I'm putting a built F23 turbo in mine. Planning on it being a show car eventually. My 6th gen coupe will get a K20C1, the 6th gen sedan will be my daily, and eventually I'll import a Euro R. I'm gonna need a trailer to take all these Accords to Hondafest🤣
3:02 you show an engine from a car that weighs 3200lbs, less than the Accord lol, the C6 Z06. 7gen 6-6 cars are excellent though, love mine, and my c5z! Both very reliable
Honestly, i love my 7th gen accoed, i got the k24 sedan but mine is the automatic, the bad part of it is i cant find that many aftermarket parts
could you look into the 4th gen legacy gt ?
