Thank you for this video! Just completed this install - it was my 5th touch screen w/ backup camera I've done. The Dasaita wiring harness was the easiest install I've ever used (better than Pioneer, Boss, other cheap knockoffs). Camera install was simple. Everything took a little over 3 hours to do start to finish. The Dasaita head unit looks amazing. Highly recommend!

Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to make this video. The unit I got didn't come with any instructions at all but I was able to do the install successfully using your video.
If you want to update the head Unit, I would suggest the new head units since the housing plastic can be screwed to the car and is much safer. While those old kit only uses clips and it could be shakes out off the car!! It happened twice!

@@josemite_ I went to Walmart and got a long aux cord and red and yellow audio cables and ran it down into the center console. Downside is you’ll probably have to drill a hole into the console itself like I did just to get the aux cord plugged in. Might be a better way around this problem but that’s what I did
What about a 2012 accord ex-l with navigation. I can’t find anything for it. I don’t use my navigation and would rather have an updated unit like this one. Any information you can share, I would really appreciate it. Thanks

yes, you just need to buy a reverse camera off of amazon/ebay ($20-30). There will be a yellow rca jack and a power wire. Plug in the rca yellow jack to the rca input on the back of the head unit and use that power wire on anything that gets power (ie. reverse trigger, accessory).
Check fuse 6 in the passenger side. I got a kit from Amazon and every time I turned the headlights on my dash lights would stop working. Must be something wrong in the included wiring harness.

@@melikeking9013 2 years later and I think I'm about to resort to this method. Best I can tell is that some versions of the 2011-12 Accord (Perhaps the SE trim) only use the 12 pin connector. I'm reading that the 12-pin out is for aux and radio. Hows the sound?
My question is will this work with an aftermarket radio in my accord? My oem headunit has been replaced with a double din touch screen but it’s outdated. And 2 screens would be cool.
Thanks for the tutorial. My 2009 accord has the navigation screen so the setup is a little different. I thought I finished the wiring correctly but I could not control audio or the A/C.
PSA: Dasiata currently does not sell units that fit the 2009 Accord with the navigation screeen. I found the hard way after I untalled the unit and tried putting the panels back on that they did not fit. I had to cut part of the A/C vent panel off for it to fit again.
Daisaita is better than Seican. I bought Seican for Honda Accord 2012 and there was no sound, I tried pluging the Aux red and white RCA to different female RCA but no luck. The android powered up but no sound and I saw your harness has two antenna plug, i guessed its for the original radio and new android. Mine was only one plug and the seller send me a wrong plug, so i have buy and plug it to the new android but nothing coming of the radio. Thanks for sharing. Good job

I bought the $179.99 unit from Amazon made by Hikity. It has an orange KEY2 cable coming from the power harness from the back of the head unit. I have no idea where to connect that to in a 2011 Honda Accord EX with no navigation. The only other wire coming from the harness is a pink wire that is not labeled. The other wires Reverse and Antenna or labeled. Any advice? I haven't taken the care apart yet but trying to do all th research I can before starting. I guess the KEY2 wire has to be connected somewhere for my steering wheel controls to work.
I didn’t have to connect any of these random wires and the steering wheel controls worked. Miracle. You may have to configure the factory settings for Honda steering controls. I sold the car so don’t remember how I got it to work.

Does the climate control info display on the original (now bottom) display? I didn’t see it there on this video or the other similar install with the idoing unit.
This does have support for it but you would have to run a cable from the headunit all the way to your rear trunk. The camera's on amazon are like $30 dollars

My lights no longer turn on at night i bought A-Sure set up, with absolutely no instructions i set the whole thing up everything works like it should but now i don’t have any lights for the center counsel or steering wheel like i had before, anything helps.
I'm having the same problem. The passenger side #6 position fuse (7.5A) keeps blowing when I turn the car lights on. I even tried throwing in a 10A fuse, but it blew that fuse, too. Any advice on how to remedy this would be very much appreciated.

If I have an Audio imbalance when I use an aux cord (left side speakers are much quieter than right), would this be the case after installing this CarPlay unit? I don’t have this issue when I use the radio. I was thinking it’s due to the aux port being damaged but idk.I want to install this but I am scared that my audio will be imbalanced after installation which would really suck.
My cable is different for the aux. That particular cable for the r/w audio cables isn't there for my Honda. I have a lx model of the accord 2012 and I can't find a cable for that anywhere
Hi John, Thanks for putting this video together. Quick question, i was told that you shouldnt start the car if the air bag cable is disconnected. Is that true? I am finally going to install this unit in a week or so and just collecting my "gotcha" lis. Was hoping you can let me know?
After plugging it back in there was no issues with the install. If you want to be safe you can. I also recommend unplugging the battery in the front. I tread on the more dangerous side and leave the battery plugged in but never had an issue.

My OEM radio still works so no issues there. But was wondering if you have any experience with the head unit Radio Bad Reception? The only reason is I cant hear Waze when im on the OEM radio. Thanks!

It's not a feature i use, but from my experience in the past it does work.

Does the steering volume work? And connecting to right and left front speakers with the RCA cables, does the OEM subwoofer still wirk
Is a blinking car clock going to cause an issue? also can a Sub Woofer be added?
So since you connected to to front R and L does that mean there is no surround sound now and sound only coming from the front speakers.

Nice install all that is missing is some TESA tape on the wires to make it look a bit OEM. :)

Yes, I installed it in my 2010 Accord with NAV, and it worked perfectly
