i've never understood why she's meant to be the 'plain sister.' she's such a lovely english rose! just look at those big beautiful eyes and her perfect skin, i mean...
It's just to show how great of an actress she is when she's not playing herself. Sometimes the meanest character or the plain sisters often played by someone who's very pretty, likeable and nice in real life, it's always the sweetest one that gets the mean role. I mean look at Rosamund Pike in Gone Girl
Laura is so pretty in real life! She's pretty in Downton Abbey too but she's one of those girls who is still very beautiful when she's all natural.
Yes, she is very pretty in real life, but I think in the show they make her look a bit drab. If you notice, her clothes and hair are always a bit more frumpy than those of the other women. She became quite glamorous for a while, when she was dating the newspaper editor, but this season she's reverted to her old drab self, although I think that that is mostly due to her emotional troubles this season.
I know, she's a real 'classic beauty', like Edith in North and South
babablacksheepdog I was just thinking about that how incredibly pretty she looks without make up, especelly if you compare to how she looks in the show, where you often se her beside Mary, who always looks so done up and very glamorous.
I thought she looked just nice on downton but in this video shes very pretty !!!!!
My God, this is beautiful--and SO refreshing, I might add. I get SOOO sick of all those Kardashian-inspired makeup tutorials floating around YT featuring a POUND of makeup complete with a mask of primer and foundation,...and finishing off with [drumroll] false lashes! [lol]. THIS, however, is classic beauty at its finest. Lovely. Truly. Thank you, Lisa. LOVE your videos.

I love a lot of makeup but NOT cakey makeup. I love these light looks a lot more because they focus on enhancement not masking

***** It's so true! Lisa is so calm and soft spoken and describes every detail as she goes along during a tutorial. I'm a huge Bob Ross fan and she emulates him perfectly (in her mannerisms, of course - not her looks lol).

I never see her as weak and ugly in the show, granted she was one of my favorite celebrity crushes growing up watching Downton Abbey lol
So natural and pretty, Laura is blessed with such lovely skin anyway. Isn't it funny though that no matter now light makeup is applied women always seem to look younger without any? for some reason bare skin seems the ultimate for reducing one's age until one reaches middle years at least. A woman will look prettier or more polished perhaps with makeup-especially expertly applied by a pro with a light touch as Lisa does, but rarely younger.

Can you please do a video for people with lager pores? What makeup/skin care products you would specifically recommend. Im dying to know what you would use on people with really large pores.

Yes plss...my foundation always find their way to sink in my pores no matter which primer I used..n it doesnt look good..
Yes! That is such a good idea! I mean I use benefit porefessional as a primer, which really helps but it would be nice to have some tips/products to try out.

This is why Lisa is my most favorite makeup artist. She knows that makeup is mostly about enhancing ones natural features and not to make someone look like a drag queen. I love her! This look is perfect.
