Killers are all around us, at all times. Anywhere you go, there they are. I've talked to and lived right next to people that have killed other people. You probably would have no idea until the day you find out.

Smart kid. In the video- He got up and moved shortly after suspect sat down. He kept physical distance when outside and didn’t turn his back on the suspect. He denied the ride even though he usually wouldn’t do such a thing. His instincts were spot on.

When I was his age I was excited to be starting college, getting my first real girlfriend, experiencing life, etc. It's wild, last thing on my mind was mass murder. Also the couple sitting near the front that are always comforting each other and look so grief stricken, I think she is the sister of one of the teachers that was killed because her maiden name is the same as his.

True, but even if he got home, by ride or foot, it was just a matter of time before arrest. He had no plan or means of escape, and the evidence points at him directly. Identified as a student by other students after the shooting during escape. Identified clearly as shooter on multiple cameras. Police CAN face scan. He had no chance of evasion.

I noticed that it appears the "kids" (now adults of course) who are testifying seem to stay in the room afterwards in what appears to be support for the others who are coming into testify. Whether they want it or not, these kids and teachers and parents are bonded for life. It's certainly a bond that nobody is looking for or wants, but it's there none the less. I hope they're able to. continue to be a support and strength for each other over the years to come. I will say, the kids from this school seem to be quite intelligent and well spoken.

My mom was driving my sister to an orthodontist appointment when the massacre was about to start. She says she remembers seeing a face like his in the car. She says that she could’ve stopped a shooting if she had known, she says she would have crashed into that car if it would stop it or at least delay it. Parents will do anything to protect children, theirs or not. ❤️

I have felt the same suicidality and mental torment of a mass murderer like the dude on trial here but I don't have the psychology to turn the feelings outward to harm or threaten other parties. Selfhatred and self-disappointment to the extent of praying for my own death in a quiet, undramatic, fittingly solitary way. I must still care about my own survival because at least I find the means to put words to the emotions. I noticed that it appears the "kids" (now adults of course) who are testifying seem to stay in the room afterwards in what appears to be support for the others who are coming into testify. Whether they want it or not, these kids and teachers and parents are bonded for life. It's certainly a bond that nobody is looking for or wants, but it's there none the less. I hope they're able to. continue to be a support and strength for each other over the years to come. I will say, the kids from this school seem to be quite intelligent and well spoken.

My mom was driving my sister to an orthodontist appointment when the massacre was about to start. She says she remembers seeing a face like his in the car. She says that she could’ve stopped a shooting if she had known, she says she would have crashed into that car if it would stop it or at least delay it. It is a sad world we live in that these innocent children are forced to relive their trauma to convince the world that the murderer deserves to rot. I am so disgusted by this tragedy. It is pitiful to have to say you are proud of children for being strong through these things... may god rest easy the innocent souls lost that Valentine's Day and forever protect all affected.
Come to think about it.. they had both been at Walmart. MAYBE Cruz heard him calling his mom, asking for a ride and telling her that he would meet her at McDonald’s. Maybe Cruz followed him from a distance because Cruz walked into McDonald’s shortly after the kid sat down. It’s like he knew exactly where to sit and with whom. Cruz knew this was a kid from school and he would blend in, plus Cruz needed a ride. Then Cruz actually asked for a ride. Thankfully it was denied. Cruz is very calculating, so I don’t doubt that he followed him from Walmart, which is where Cruz went after leaving the school and bought a slushy- I heard the prosecutor talking about it, on a previous video regarding this case. I’m just speculating, but they had both been at Walmart and both walked to McDonald’s and entered McDonald’s around the same time.

I have felt the same suicidality and mental torment of a mass murderer like the dude on trial here but I don't have the psychology to turn the feelings outward to harm or threaten other parties. Selfhatred and self-disappointment to the extent of praying for my own death in a quiet, undramatic, fittingly solitary way. I must still care about my own survival because at least I find the means to put words to the emotions.
I can find space to choose to feel another way and trick my mind away from dwelling on dark impulses.
My empathy to the rest of you who may feel filled with a sense of weakness, lack of confidence, failure, anxiety and dread

I feel like Nikolas's original plan was to either kill himself or to have some sort of shootout with police but he just ended up wimping out and leaving since the police provided the opportunity with their slow response.
