There’s a major deviation from being sick, feeling like your life is meaningless and/or hopeless, and then deciding to murder others because of your own bs. Handle your sh*t, get help, nobody has the right to take anyone else’s life because of the own personal misery.
Although he never “reached out” he had been repeatedly referencing it and saying he wanted to die and he hated his job and literally had a countdown to the day. I feel like anyone reasonable would have thought to say something. It’s crazy to me how it went on for so long with no reaction
I'm not sure how to tell you this, but you don't have 100% control over your actions. People are a product of their environment. The world created this person, so a series of variables in the environment created him. What I'm seeing is that the people around him were not actually listening. They were just going through motions. The internal error he had, needed intervention, but nobody around him saw it. This is a lesson that we all need to learn from.
@@premiertrainingFL but all your actions will always be based on what options you see available to you at the time and based off past risk and reward or experience, in addition, the implication behind every human action is it will generally try to be in their own best interest at minimum. If you had a terrible education, or bad parents, you see less options or a different set of options based on your knowledge and experience. (These are the things we didn't have much control over) The closer to death you are, the more desperate you become, typically taking more and more risk. This can be avoided, but it means the person would have had to dedicate time to learn and grow on their own years before their 'calamity' or 'big problem' showed up in their life. In my experience, I've learned not to expect that from people. Unless the person has been taught to go on that path of growing, I expect they will make more severe mistakes than someone who is continually getting stronger as they grow and age over time. I think, you have control, but most likely not 100 percent over the outcome of a situation, so sometimes your choice will end in an unexpected consequence. It depends on what you're able to see and understand at that moment.
THESE are reasons why I smile and speak to EVERYONE in my path. I worked at Wal Greens for a few years, years ago, and I smiled and spoke to all my customers including ppl who walked by the store. One day a regular told me to keep smiling because I saved his life. He told me I was the only person who ever smiled genuinely and spoke to him. (He usually scrapped up change for a beer everyday so I can imagine how alot of ppl look down on him) I show love to EVERYONE!!!

A lot of people are saying he just needed a friend- there’s a local band he worked with for the intro to his cartoon series and in an interview they were cool and wanted to hire Randy as their cinematographer but he was really cold to them… they all knew he was a bit off. one band member was trying to relate to him by admitting he was depressed but instead of finding common ground Randy got mad because that guy was “too handsome to be depressed”. He didn’t want friends, he resonated more with his cartoon characters

This is why parents paying attention to their kids, and strangers being kind to other strangers is SO important. Things like this could so easily be avoided if people could take five minutes out of their day to check up on people. He was openly BEGGING for help and still, nobody even batted an eye in his direction. At the end of the day, everyone is human. Everyone reacts to things differently, expresses emotions differently- and it’s our job as a society to help other people, especially when they’re literally crying out for it. It’s a sad sad world we live in, and people don’t seem to understand how just a few words or a smile can change someone’s life. His parents failed him, friends failed him, and then he eventually failed himself- because he was 100% aware of how wrong his plan was but too far gone to even care and it genuinely makes me want to cry. Love and kindness is important, and should be expressed whenever possible.

It seemed that opening up about my health problems just made my friends distance themselves from me. I almost went through with taking my own life. But people will only show their true intentions after something significant happens. But that doesnt have to be your case. Please stay strong for your little princess. it took me a while after watching this video to realize why this guy resonated so deeply with ember. at first i thought it was just random until i thought about what kind of character ember is. ember gets her power from getting attention from her fans and is powerless when she is ignored. and to this guy who was a narcissist that was clearly dissatisfied with the lack of attention he received from his teachers and parents, it made ember relatable to him.

Just, wow. Haunting. This doc hit me really hard. My little brother looks almost exactly like this dude (yes, he's white) and ironically LOVED Danny Phantom as a kid. As he got older (I'm 6 years older than my baby), his behavior and isolation became a HUGE concern for me. My parents kind of wrote it off and I was like, nah. Once he graduated I got him a job, moved him into my home (I was already married with a 2yo by this point), and just loved him. Had him spend time with us, went to parks, went out to eat, went to the movies... CONSTANTLY. I refused to see my baby isolate and deteriorate. My brother is 22 now and THRIVING. He got over his social anxieties, started smoking weed (he needed it, lol), he manages a CBD store where we live now. So proud of him. Watching this literally makes me feel like this could have been my baby. If someone would've just cared about Randy, if someone would've just given him a different perspective... Just sad.
I am in my 50's and grew up lonely. However, I have NEVER done such horrible acts, nor desired to do so. Being "lonely" is not an excuse for such barbaric acts. (Just sayin') Some people just embrace darkness. Some just ignore their conscience, until it finally deadens. It is probably a path of ignoring their conscience over and over again, when they could still hear it. People should guard their hearts, and steer clear of that dark path.

In Randy's goodbye video to his parents he straight up admits to thinking about killing his Dad for being hard on him. His empathy for others was completely gone at that point and he gave up on his future because he knew he was going to die shortly. Just scary how someone can sink that low, something was missing.
Probably estrogen. I went through psychosis from 12-26 and everyone thought I was schizophrenic.. I left lots of clues and planned to kill myself, most of the things he details is gender dysphoria. He seems to be coping with not wanting to come out as transgender. He does a lot of things I used to do. I spent loads of time not sleeping and that made me psychotic, which is common in people who are trans, because it lowers testosterone. Anyways, I'm 29 now, I've been using hormones for 3 years and I'm fully functioning. I have a good job and a girl friend. Anyways, yeah, not a single dark thought, depression or anxiety anymore, I'm happy. Most people don't want to make the connection because it's a negative one to the things that can happen. Though, in my mind, it seems like he was a girl, and saw the hate that society places on homosexuals and trans people and didn't want to transition. Not that I ever wanted to hurt anyone, just myself, so.. I'm not justifying one bit of the violence associated with Randy. Just saying, things need to change and people need to understand. (Hopefully I'm not overreading into this.. But to me it seems so similar.)
Almost everything he said starts with "I can't believe they didn't notice", "No one noticed", "You didn't even notice". He was crazy, and he did something terrible, but I think it's extremely obvious where his issues came from.
I think he acted out more for the camera then he did around his family or his coworkers!! A person can have two sides to them that are so far apart from each other that when something does happen it’s total disbelief. It also can be that he did always act so far out always doing something for attention and it’s just never enough or not in the way the person wants the attention. As the story goes you never truly know what goes on behind closed doors.

No one is talking through anything with him… on anything… so he turns to youtube to figure it out himself with talking it out… obviously if a kid is that fixated on death and dying early… that early and for so long and LOUDLY… a true caring parent who was involved and not narcissistic sociopaths themselves would be alarmed and immediately seek help. That would do it. Too much pressure. Life is too hard and lonely with no one to trust… to love. He definitely was not loved unconditionally nor was he cared for and given the proper attention a child needs for healthy development. He was acting out for it… literally no one cared, which stregthened his resolve that everyone was like his core people. What he did was terrible… but i always think of how excruciating that ever loneliness and cruelty of brute abandonment. This is all my two cents… of course. But i say his parents have blood on their hands.
To me, the way he said he can’t believe no one saw his red flags, seemed like a cry for help. He posted everything. He told people directly through the internet. His parents helped him acquire at least one of the guns and neither one asked questions. It feels like he wanted someone to stop him and when no one did it was go time. Not defending his actions at all, just thoughts as I watched.
We can feel bad for them even though we don't agree with them. He begged for help, no one cared just like he said, and he made horrific choices. He wasn't insane he knew right from wrong he did have mental illness however that doesn't excuse his behavior in any way. Be well

For (SOME) men, especially younger ones, I think it's commonly difficult to see "light at the end of the tunnel" if they never had a girlfriend or romantic connection.. (not with an imaginary gf or celebrity/fictional character etc.)

I think the reason he didn’t shoot Kristan was because one of the Columbine shooters did the same thing, if I remember correctly. The guy was long-gone , a freak and sicko with no moral compass or empathy to submit to therapy. And, for those who think I am harsh in being disgusted with him, I have had plenty experiences with sick, wicked, cruel bastards. Consider, the Personality Disorders I named here are SANE, NOT INSANE. They are responsible for their actions and CHOOSE their actions. Also note, that personality disorders are NOT mental illnesses. They are not chemical imbalances. The Bible has a word for these people, reprobate, beyond help, because they have too long persisted in their wickedness. Why would you? I see mental illness, abnormal behaviours or self destructive behaviours all the time, it’s part of life. Not many people go through life without encountering negative thoughts. How can anyone be expected to know the outcomes? That’s why it’s important people are taught to be stronger and not to try and make the world softer. If someone took this kid aside and taught him how to be a man, how to be stronger then he wouldn’t have acted like such a coward.

Columbine grad '02. I was a freshman when the shooting happened. We finished the year at Chatfield Senior High. Can't remember exactly how that worked out. I think it was half days in the afternoon with Chatfield students attending in the morning. I don't remember having finals, but that was more than 20 years ago. Columbine was an event that changed me forever. I'm shocked and saddened anybody would look at that event and want to emulate it. I wouldn't say watching this is re-traumatizing. I made peace with the past long ago.
@jason christopher it's certainly given me a unique perspective on some things. I learned that this terrible event doesn't define me and it's important to live in the present, not the past. You have to find things which make life worth living. Everything can change in an instant so make the most of it. I kiss my wife and tell her "I love you" every single day before I leave for work.
Highlands Ranch '01 here. I remember some asshole senior called in a bomb threat as a senior prank right after the shooting. We had to wear name tags around our necks for awhile. What a crazy traumatic year

This is absolutely horrifying. To be so public with his plan and not one person came forward to question his intentions. In regards to the lethal amount of Benadryl in his system, maybe he took it in hopes of killing himself or knocking himself out to stop him from following through with his plan? He kept posting about his intentions and then about no one trying to stop him.
i think he likely took lethal amount of dph to make sure he would not survive, and/or also to make him drowsy or calm to carry the killing out. idk if they are saying that it was all absorbed by the time he died but i guarantee in order to do this the dph in his system was most definitely barely absorbed yet.
It's kinda like the "not my job" mentality - if it doesn't affect us directly then someone else will deal with it but no one does cuz it's not their problem
!...wen I was 18 years old me n friends took anywhere from 300 mgs-600mgs of dph at a time and that was with tolerance and it was strong enough to hallucinate at 600mgs!so that would be around 250 ml....so yeah 370 ml of dph would possibly b lethal... but positively 100% Gaurantee he wouldn't have been able to stay away or even walk if it had absorbed into his system let alone methodically shooting n killing three people!!

Very terrified. I’ve never known what was hanppening/happened with Randy Stair. Someone I know acts, thinks, and talks just like him down to the facial expressions and cartoon obsession. He’s completely obsessed with him and I have no clue what to do. We’ve tried therapy and psychiatry and NOTHING. Help

I wonder if the following is true. People likely to commit mass shootings or events similar to this are psychopaths, clearly have mental health issues and some predisposition to evil - as such they're far more likely to lack the social skills to make friends. However they make up a very small percentage of introverts in general. In short - not all lonely people who struggle socially are capable of this, BUT all people capable of this are going to be lonely people who struggle socially.

I watched this front to back. The kid was disturbed. Zero doubt about that. Not condoning in any way. However, this is a clear case of someone crying out to be stopped and helped. This case is sociologically important and should be referred to in all future parental guidance books. A lot can be learned about the development of a human mind and behaviour in this day and age through it.
I'm surprised that no one noticed the signals. I'm only learning about this case today accidentally. It was so heartbreaking to see that people don't know this is a tale signs of self destruction. May it be a reminder to all of us.

He had a head in a box, that smelled bad in his room. Victims were stumbling out of his apartment. Gary Ridgeway... killed 45 women. His co-workers joked about how he looked EXACTLY like the killer and was interviewed twice. No one called the police on him and he even hung out with cops in bars. I think white privilege is why these men are allowed to become killers.

Well he actually says so in two accounts, first he recalls his teacher as a good person and bice, these are not words you attach to someone you don't care or have any positive feeling towards. He also at a point recalls how he wold be most worried for his dads life prioritizing it above all. Its clear he had cares and feelings along side with his problems and doubts, but as his feelings or actions towards other became less and less reciprocated he started questioning the value of them, shifting is focus on louder attempts at attention. And this is not something kids do, its a rule of thumb in human behaviour, in an office if there is a meeting and all opinions are being considered but yours, you will start ignoring others opinions and voicing yours louder until acknowledged.

I don’t want to have kids mainly for the reason that we don’t get to raise them- not those of us in the working class. Both parents need to work 50-60 hours just to pay the rent and bills- these are children of the state. Like “hitlers children” back in the day. Our culture promotes it. Down here, it's not much of a big deal to anyone, which is why, although watching this was terrifying and infuriating, I was almost surprised that he only bought two. He mentions his mom might've been surprised and a little upset that he bought the second, since it was an almost identical gun, and might've said not to buy any more, but other than that, it's not uncommon and practically normalized here. That said, I own zero, will never purchase one, and I consider it a massive red flag every time I encounter someone, going out of my way not to get involved with people who buy them or regularly go shooting (another thing that's normal here... not hunting, SHOOTING. They go to the gun range for hours and fire off as many as they can from as many guns as they bring). This should've been a red flag, but down here the 2nd amendment has been reinterpreted as a requirement, and people buy and fire guns like normal people buy and consume food.

I don't defend his actions but I can feel his pain, I had a similar childhood and my parents noticed that I needed attention only when I hanged myself the first time (and I obviously failed). When I tried to attract attention I was always treated like a dead weight. (I hanged myself for other reasons that are more significative than seeking attention, but if I was loved "correctly" I don't think I would've tried to commit suicide)

Definitely seems like he had narcissistic personality disorder, which can cause delusions. As for depression, possibly... I have had suicidal ideation from the age of 10 - 40 and do not have narcissistic tendencies or depression. I'm 44 now, and my suicidal ideation was cured when my best friend committed suicide three and a half years ago. Unlike Randy, my friend's death made me realize that I actually wanted to live instead of the other way around.

It is hard to make or maintain friendship when you force your friends' role as people who have to care just about you. Friendship is a mutual thing. I live in the town this happened in. I still remember waking up and finding out about it. It is so unsettling to see videos of the store I've been in a hundred times in this video. I remember looking up his YT after it happened. If anyone wanted to know, Weis did a complete redesign of the interior due to the damage he did to it. People avoided it for weeks after it reopened, but then came to an agreement that we should not punish the store or employees, or allow him to get his way. The first few times I went in after this it was horrible knowing what had happened there.

I remember when the store reopened my mom went to shop there instead of Walmart for a bit to help the store and support the business. I was scared to go with her a few times though because I was scared that another shooting would happen-
You have a video about a little girl who wanted to kill her little brother and foster parents. They were afraid of her and asked for help. Lots of conversations, love and understanding...and today she is a wonderful woman who helps victims. This boy was screaming for help. so sad!

The thing is with mental health is that it can make someone scared or not want to go into it first/by themselves. Mental health is a very tricky thing and people often ask for help in roundabout ways.
I’ve watched a lot of documentaries on killers like this. A running theme I see is that they have fears and feelings we all have (fear of death, aging, rejection, the repetition of working, ect.) but the way they perceive and try to solve these problems is always irrational. I think that’s the real disconnect with these people.
@@Daniel-Choe something that is not included in this video here, is that Randy's mom DID reach out to him one time after his aunt showed a post he made on his Facebook that was disconcerting to her. Randy brushed it off and said everything was fine, and then proceeded to block his whole family on his social media and from then on out, only made social media accounts with his Andrew name. His mom reached out, he rejected it, and then he still whines and moaned and complained that no one cared about him. I used to be like him in this regard, minus the ghost girl stuff and the shooting obsession. I have since then worked very hard to not be this way any longer. With these types of people, yes they do need some form of therapy, but it doesn't matter how much you reach out to them, it simply will never be enough for them
When you said with how much Benadryl he had taken he might have blurred vision. I immediately wondered if that's why he didn't shoot the surviving coworker. If she was frozen in fear and didn't scream or anything he might not have seen her. Even though she thought he was staring at her he might have been looking up to see if anyone would come running to see what was going on. That her being frozen in fear might have saved her life.
Its a physiological thing, that direct locked in eye contact with her made him not pull the trigger(search it up). She didn’t mean too, it just happened and it saved her life, he literally saw the fear in her eyes and couldn’t do it, and he didn’t like that she could see right through him. Interesting theory. I thought it was in line with his feeling of “I’m all powerful, I control who lives & dies”. She was looking away from him, but in other cases killers have spared people looking right at them. “Mercy” isn’t always a kind thing. He was playing a game. He was hunting and spared one deer out of them all.

This happened in my home town. His father was the manager in the Dallas location (about 10-12miles away) where they lived. Randy worked in the tunkhannock location. From what was discovered he uploaded all the audio tapes with a single background photo but never specifically mention exact names/details that could be directly linked to what was to happen . It was the day before or day after this horrific event happened the video files were uploaded with the matching audio files and it was Erie to watch it all . Sickening people I’ll never forget this evening/day in our small little town

Like they each wanted to feel like they controlled life and death. I live in Colorado, so we watched a doc in high school about the shooting.

You know I was getting scared for a minute because some of the stuff he was saying in the beginning I’d exactly what my mind wanders to. Being suicidal, heavily depressed since elementary school, thinking life was meaningless because we could die any second. In fact I was positive (and still struggle with it) that I was gonna die by my own hands so i at least had control. The difference though is even tho no one noticed the signs, I got myself help. I went to a psych ward, I went to a rehab, I have therapy and medication. I never once thought that because I was suffering others deserved it too. I still had empathy and all that. I think this dude lacked emotions for other people which is why deciding to kill them was so exciting. And someone said earlier that he saw his own warning signs and didn’t do anything to help himself and I agree. I think he truly wanted this. I saw red flags for myself and did the right thing so I didn’t hurt myself anymore and, god forbid, become a danger to anyone else

At first he came off as cringey and your typical misunderstood loser with a hint of gender issues, but by around half way in I found myself heavily intrigued by his level of self-awareness, yet lack-there-of.
One thing I noticed is that at one point, he talks about how "the most random" things will make him cry, yet stuff that you're supposed to cry at doesn't. He cites the numerous times hes cried hard at the song Let It Go from frozen. Which is really fascinating that he gives that specific example, because I really think thats a giant clue to his narcissism and self obsession, and in turn a severe lack of empathy to other people than himself. The song is about Elsa 1. Being isolated from the world around her and 2. Being able to finally "let go" of the things trapping and holding her back and be herself. Which randy would probably find extremely relateable in his view. It reminds him of himself and his own journy, and so it makes sense he'd get emotional, because his mind can warp it to relate to him. And yet, as he said, normal things people would cry at (tragedies and suffering of others for example) leaves him unaffected, because he cant empathize with people outside of himself.
That part got me too but you put the words to it. My mother is a narcissist, he has a lot of similar habits it seems and sadly in her childhood people didn't care much either, she was almost killed by her sister. Just relating the unsteady childhood that relates to cluster-B. Leading to worse behavior....seems to snowball if no one can help stop it. The weird thing that's not that narcissistic is he reached out for help subtly but he did it, he talks about this, narcissists don't usually think they need help. I'm not sure how to tell you this, but you don't have 100% control over your actions.
People are a product of their environment. The world created this person, so a series of variables in the environment created him.
What I'm seeing is that the people around him were not actually listening. They were just going through motions. The internal error he had, needed intervention, but nobody around him saw it.
This is a lesson that we all need to learn from.

The closer to death you are, the more desperate you become, typically taking more and more risk. This can be avoided, but it means the person would have had to dedicate time to learn and grow on their own years before their 'calamity' or 'big problem' showed up in their life. In my experience, I've learned not to expect that from people.
Unless the person has been taught to go on that path of growing, I expect they will make more severe mistakes than someone who is continually getting stronger as they grow and age over time.
I think, you have control, but most likely not 100 percent over the outcome of a situation, so sometimes your choice will end in an unexpected consequence. It depends on what you're able to see and understand at that moment.
THESE are reasons why I smile and speak to EVERYONE in my path. I worked at Wal Greens for a few years, years ago, and I smiled and spoke to all my customers including ppl who walked by the store. One day a regular told me to keep smiling because I saved his life. He told me I was the only person who ever smiled genuinely and spoke to him. (He usually scrapped up change for a beer everyday so I can imagine how alot of ppl look down on him) I show love to EVERYONE!!!

This is why parents paying attention to their kids, and strangers being kind to other strangers is SO important. Things like this could so easily be avoided if people could take five minutes out of their day to check up on people. He was openly BEGGING for help and still, nobody even batted an eye in his direction. At the end of the day, everyone is human. Everyone reacts to things differently, expresses emotions differently- and it’s our job as a society to help other people, especially when they’re literally crying out for it. It’s a sad sad world we live in, and people don’t seem to understand how just a few words or a smile can change someone’s life.
His parents failed him, friends failed him, and then he eventually failed himself- because he was 100% aware of how wrong his plan was but too far gone to even care and it genuinely makes me want to cry. Love and kindness is important, and should be expressed whenever possible.

Just, wow. Haunting. This doc hit me really hard. My little brother looks almost exactly like this dude (yes, he's white) and ironically LOVED Danny Phantom as a kid. As he got older (I'm 6 years older than my baby), his behavior and isolation became a HUGE concern for me. My parents kind of wrote it off and I was like, nah. Once he graduated I got him a job, moved him into my home (I was already married with a 2yo by this point), and just loved him. Had him spend time with us, went to parks, went out to eat, went to the movies... CONSTANTLY. I refused to see my baby isolate and deteriorate. My brother is 22 now and THRIVING. He got over his social anxieties, started smoking weed (he needed it, lol), he manages a CBD store where we live now. So proud of him. Watching this literally makes me feel like this could have been my baby. If someone would've just cared about Randy, if someone would've just given him a different perspective... Just sad.

In Randy's goodbye video to his parents he straight up admits to thinking about killing his Dad for being hard on him. His empathy for others was completely gone at that point and he gave up on his future because he knew he was going to die shortly. Just scary how someone can sink that low, something was missing.

Probably estrogen. I went through psychosis from 12-26 and everyone thought I was schizophrenic.. I left lots of clues and planned to kill myself, most of the things he details is gender dysphoria. He seems to be coping with not wanting to come out as transgender. He does a lot of things I used to do. I spent loads of time not sleeping and that made me psychotic, which is common in people who are trans, because it lowers testosterone. Anyways, I'm 29 now, I've been using hormones for 3 years and I'm fully functioning. I have a good job and a girl friend. Anyways, yeah, not a single dark thought, depression or anxiety anymore, I'm happy. Most people don't want to make the connection because it's a negative one to the things that can happen. Though, in my mind, it seems like he was a girl, and saw the hate that society places on homosexuals and trans people and didn't want to transition. Not that I ever wanted to hurt anyone, just myself, so.. I'm not justifying one bit of the violence associated with Randy. Just saying, things need to change and people need to understand. (Hopefully I'm not overreading into this.. But to me it seems so similar.)

Columbine grad '02. I was a freshman when the shooting happened. We finished the year at Chatfield Senior High. Can't remember exactly how that worked out. I think it was half days in the afternoon with Chatfield students attending in the morning. I don't remember having finals, but that was more than 20 years ago.
Columbine was an event that changed me forever. I'm shocked and saddened anybody would look at that event and want to emulate it.
I wouldn't say watching this is re-traumatizing. I made peace with the past long ago.

Well he actually says so in two accounts, first he recalls his teacher as a good person and bice, these are not words you attach to someone you don't care or have any positive feeling towards. He also at a point recalls how he wold be most worried for his dads life prioritizing it above all.
Its clear he had cares and feelings along side with his problems and doubts, but as his feelings or actions towards other became less and less reciprocated he started questioning the value of them, shifting is focus on louder attempts at attention.

Down here, it's not much of a big deal to anyone, which is why, although watching this was terrifying and infuriating, I was almost surprised that he only bought two. He mentions his mom might've been surprised and a little upset that he bought the second, since it was an almost identical gun, and might've said not to buy any more, but other than that, it's not uncommon and practically normalized here.
That said, I own zero, will never purchase one, and I consider it a massive red flag every time I encounter someone, going out of my way not to get involved with people who buy them or regularly go shooting (another thing that's normal here... not hunting, SHOOTING. They go to the gun range for hours and fire off as many as they can from as many guns as they bring). I don't defend his actions but I can feel his pain, I had a similar childhood and my parents noticed that I needed attention only when I hanged myself the first time (and I obviously failed). When I tried to attract attention I was always treated like a dead weight. (I hanged myself for other reasons that are more significative than seeking attention, but if I was loved "correctly" I don't think I would've tried to commit suicide)

As for depression, possibly... I have had suicidal ideation from the age of 10 - 40 and do not have narcissistic tendencies or depression. I'm 44 now, and my suicidal ideation was cured when my best friend committed suicide three and a half years ago. Unlike Randy, my friend's death made me realize that I actually wanted to live instead of the other way around.

I live in the town this happened in. I still remember waking up and finding out about it. It is so unsettling to see videos of the store I've been in a hundred times in this video. I remember looking up his YT after it happened. If anyone wanted to know, Weis did a complete redesign of the interior due to the damage he did to it. People avoided it for weeks after it reopened, but then came to an agreement that we should not punish the store or employees, or allow him to get his way. The first few times I went in after this it was horrible knowing what had happened there.

A running theme I see is that they have fears and feelings we all have (fear of death, aging, rejection, the repetition of working, ect.) but the way they perceive and try to solve these problems is always irrational. I think that’s the real disconnect with these people.

Randy brushed it off and said everything was fine, and then proceeded to block his whole family on his social media and from then on out, only made social media accounts with his Andrew name. His mom reached out, he rejected it, and then he still whines and moaned and complained that no one cared about him.
I used to be like him in this regard, minus the ghost girl stuff and the shooting obsession. I have since then worked very hard to not be this way any longer. With these types of people, yes they do need some form of therapy, but it doesn't matter how much you reach out to them, it simply will never be enough for them

When you said with how much Benadryl he had taken he might have blurred vision. I immediately wondered if that's why he didn't shoot the surviving coworker. If she was frozen in fear and didn't scream or anything he might not have seen her. Even though she thought he was staring at her he might have been looking up to see if anyone would come running to see what was going on. That her being frozen in fear might have saved her life.

This happened in my home town. His father was the manager in the Dallas location (about 10-12miles away) where they lived. Randy worked in the tunkhannock location. From what was discovered he uploaded all the audio tapes with a single background photo but never specifically mention exact names/details that could be directly linked to what was to happen . It was the day before or day after this horrific event happened the video files were uploaded with the matching audio files and it was Erie to watch it all . Sickening people I’ll never forget this evening/day in our small little town

Him sparing one person could've also been in reference to the Columbine shooting - Dylan Klebold spared one person, and Eric Harris spared another by telling him to go home. You know I was getting scared for a minute because some of the stuff he was saying in the beginning I’d exactly what my mind wanders to. Being suicidal, heavily depressed since elementary school, thinking life was meaningless because we could die any second. In fact I was positive (and still struggle with it) that I was gonna die by my own hands so i at least had control.
The difference though is even tho no one noticed the signs, I got myself help. I went to a psych ward, I went to a rehab, I have therapy and medication. I never once thought that because I was suffering others deserved it too. I still had empathy and all that. I think this dude lacked emotions for other people which is why deciding to kill them was so exciting. And someone said earlier that he saw his own warning signs and didn’t do anything to help himself and I agree. I think he truly wanted this. I saw red flags for myself and did the right thing so I didn’t hurt myself anymore and, god forbid, become a danger to anyone else
If no one has told you how BIG of a move you made, let me say it now. What you have done to get yourself the help you felt you needed is HUGE! Although I don’t know you, it’s good to hear one speak on their struggles and overcome them. One thing I noticed is that at one point, he talks about how "the most random" things will make him cry, yet stuff that you're supposed to cry at doesn't. He cites the numerous times hes cried hard at the song Let It Go from frozen. Which is really fascinating that he gives that specific example, because I really think thats a giant clue to his narcissism and self obsession, and in turn a severe lack of empathy to other people than himself. The song is about Elsa 1. Being isolated from the world around her and 2. Being able to finally "let go" of the things trapping and holding her back and be herself. Which randy would probably find extremely relateable in his view. It reminds him of himself and his own journy, and so it makes sense he'd get emotional, because his mind can warp it to relate to him. And yet, as he said, normal things people would cry at (tragedies and suffering of others for example) leaves him unaffected, because he cant empathize with people outside of himself.

My mother is a narcissist, he has a lot of similar habits it seems and sadly in her childhood people didn't care much either, she was almost killed by her sister.
