The hype around the early playtests was nuts, then the perfectly timed release alongside all of the promotional events they did was just superb. I don't see this update bringing back 80k+ players like the initial release, and I don't think anyone does. But I do think once it does drop, and we get the more frequent updates, if it can hold around 10k-15k players I would consider that a brilliant comeback. Battlebit is the reason I found your channel Cami, and the reason I have made a bunch of new friends in ways I haven't experienced since the old Call of Duty days. Waiting a year has sucked, but I am still anticipating this update more than any other game right now.
Oki really wasted such a gold of a game. Just sell the goddamn game and let other devs take care of it because they seem incapable or unwilling Too bad too because this game, to me, feels genuinely so much better and so much more fun than BF, COD, and even Delta Force
they made some big mistakes with how they managed the update that they're still working on but I think they learned a lot so in the future they will do much better and not commit to updates that take over a year to make
This is just one of the saddest gaming stories ever. Battlebit could have become one of the biggest FPS games on the market but these devs sadly ruined everything. Not by working on a big overhaul update that takes some time, but by becoming radio silent and ghosting their fanbase
@@jackharold8379I'm not sure, it's still broken in OCE so all you can play is A/D. Abilities do hamper the experience massively in that mode, and it really is just a shameful copy of the worst BF game in history. I want to like it, but it's a bit meh at the moment.
so sad to see where the game is now.. I love the game when it was released. Played it so much, now though i won't redownload it unless i know it will survive
My last playtime was January. I had high hopes for this game. It has everything I wanted for a BF style game after the disappointment of 2042. The game was immensely fun, great maps, weapons, vehicles etc, but the silence from the devs, no updates in over a year with little to no communication, was the last straw for me. They have only themselves to blame for what seems to be a dead game (not that I have played in a year). I do wish the best to the devs and I want the game to succeed, but I don't have my hopes up. I have moved on to other titles that are more interesting to me.
What’s wild is that the industry will learn absolutely nothing from this and continue to push hollow games with systems to artificially increase player engagement. Casuals will still never get standards and by whatever slop comes out. Devs will still be out of touch with their core audience and we’ll just never have a half decent FPS game again.
The grind to get new weapons in this game was unbearable. Maybe they changed it, but when it first came out the amount of play time to get anything was insane for the average player. Really turned me off and I'm not against a little grinding.
Its been a YEAR with no updates?! Well that's deeply concerning, like I think I can say the mood has gone from "hay guys you working on this thing?" to "oh no, guys I think they abandoned ship.". And if they aren't communicating very well.... that doesn't help things ether. Like you would think they post a progress report every few months or something. No one likes seeing a "good" game die like this. But ignoring that grim possibility for a moment, THIS GAME IS AWSOME! It really is Classic Battlefield, with a sprinkling of Mil Sim elements. Remember to good times and HOLD ON to those moments.
Yeah I haven't played this game since August... sad to see this is the fate of what could have been such a great game, and a serious competitor to the launch flop of Battlefield 2042.
it is criminal what was done to this game . good thing is delta force is here but im angry af that i bought this game because it was goofy as fun game now its just a dead game
Wait they turned off the servers?...no? ok so then surely theres been some kind of virus or error in the code preventing people from logging in right?...no? ok then...just go play the fucking game? Seriously just go play the game who gives a fuck when the last time there was a patch if you enjoy it. There are still people who play tribes 1 to this day, old school quake, halo CE, cod4 etc you dont need to have the newest most expensive "live service" soul sucking monitization scam game to have fun, just go play the game you enjoy and encourage people you enjoy playing with to play the game with you. boom problem solved. All this doom and gloom just creates a self fulfilling prophecy about the game "dying" which causes more people to hear that its "dying" so they think to not log in/play it and then also they tell their friends that they wanted to try the game but its "dead" etc etc etc. Seriously this self defeatist attitude is so stupid, if you NEED an update every few months to enjoy the game you clearly didnt enjoy playing the game in the first place, or you need to find other games to rotate through when you get "burned out" on one. POE2 is out give that a whirl, try it for a few days then log back into your favorite game after.
The game is enjoyable but i mean it will get stale after a while and new content allows for players to explore new stuff, and this isnt just lack of content but its been a year since the last update itself and months have gone past with little to no communication
the game is still very fun, I dont really understand why people stopped playing, I think they just forgot about it but if we can create some hype we can get many of those people back
You know, no surprise it's fallen off. yea 400 to 1500 players isn't dead, buuuut. Lets be honest, this game was a breath of fresh air at its time, but now, other games came out, arguably better ones. Unfortunate reality of any pvp games, they are a niche. Far less popular then pve counterparts for exactly the reason you've said - casual friendliness. Just looking at your gameplay I'm getting warframe flashbacks. Where is the fun in fighting a crackhead on steroids? Yea Id leave too. Not to mention the questionable balancing - tracers on snipers, makes you wonder how infiltrators in planets side were never changed but never were unbalanced. This game lacks big time in one thing - the great equalizer, ye old reliable. The gun that a casual can grab and equalizer his opportunity to win against the sweat. Examples of such items are many - TF2 - pyro flamer(m1 + w), many other games a shotgun - 1 hit kill to punish the overly aggressive players. Do we have something like this in battlebit? I sure don't remember since I left a long time ago.
God this game was so magical when it came out. So sad to see
At this point i think even a new update can't save this game. Its sadly just over.
There are still some people playing. Those guys are battlebits last chance at survival.
Yeah mostly just EU servers are kinda alive rn (barely though)
no it’s not. Every month minus 100 players average online

OokieDookie got himself a used Buggati he ran away with the money. There wont be any battlebit updates. for the servers we are on borrowed time
such a better game than any current alternative...
Planetside 2 wins again
@@Grethkonot even remotely a battlebit/battlefield alternative... great game, but not if you want well populated OCE servers
Delta Force is good

Every game this guy plays dies.
true any time I come back to his channel, it's some sad goodbye to his favorite game.
💀
the fact you're on his channel means you probably play them too, so every game you play also dies. Funny that.
Holy shit your right, Planetside 2, Battlebit, Delta force. What else?
@@Temperius delta force isn't even out of beta yet and it's 'dead'. Okay. PS2 is dead? wtf, OCE doesn't mean something is dead.
First, can't believe this great game is dealing with this
Still makes more fun than battlebit, cod, deltaforce.
No more Free bird solo 😭😭😭

I think your videos are the only reason I still remember this game exists. Time to move on.
Get ready for BattleBit 2 :P
I stopped playing when the official AU server was dropped
So many good times that have been had in this game. Sad to see this has come to pass.
Im on the Copium
Battlebit Reanimated?
i took a short break and it suddenly dies, seems like every game ive ever played

pop games are so much more popular than pre games
I am so in love with this game, I played every playtest and was so hyped after release. It’s so sad and disappointing
At this point why even care? Game’s dead and gone, on to the next.
