8. Nestle Quik Masters Of The Universe Instant Winner Game

I still have the Ewok Adventure on VHS when my mother recorded it when it came on TV.
That McDonald's ice skating commercial really takes me back.
People like to look down on the Ewoks, but damn it, I loved them as a kid. I was 6 the summer Return of the Jedi came out in 1983, and when I saw it with my older brothers (who were true Star Wars fans back then), the Ewoks were my favorite parts of the film, since I wasn't too familiar with the other films at the time. I definitely was watching this TV movie when it premiered, and I remember I had a read-along storybook and album of the film. I also remember they did a sequel with Wilford Brimley, which was much darker, and had a few of the returning characters from the first movie dying early on.
Oh the memories!! Life was so much better back then and uncomplicated. Take me back please 😢
Love,love that era of time!!!
Huggies, Nestle, and McDonald's. That combination of sponsors sounds fitting for a movie made for Kids like this one.
The animated animals in the Christmas McDonald's commercial remind me of the animals in the Disney movie, Bambi.
I find your comment on #4 to be very funny. Grandpa sure hates Ewoks with a passion. ;)
Ewok's was the baby Yoda of the 80's they was so cute back then.
I’ve been watching all these videos when posted but this one took me back because my dad recorded this when it came on. When I saw the ABC intro I was like OMG I REMEMBER THIS but when the Ewoks came in I teared up...Keep them coming❤️❤️
This is funny. I was just watching this movie with my wife 3 days ago. I wish these commercials were in it like I remember when my dad recorded it for my brother and me back when our parents would take us to Mcdonald's to get us happy meals. I was 3 and he was 4. Movies like this had the mystique, warmth, and sense of adventure that doesn't exist in TV anymore. Even the commercials maybe cheesy, but they were wholesome. The nuclear family was appreciated back then and being a child back then is priceless. Everyone's nostalgia for this is such a pleasure to read. Makes the holidays feel as good as they did back then when watching those commercials.
Merry Christmas!
I was 9 years and one day old when this aired. I'm a huge Star Wars fan, and I have yet to see either of the Ewok movies.
Yet another reason why I always say 1984 was an awesome year! Even though I lived in OK at the time, I remember when the Ewok movie first premiered on ABC. I was at my Grandparents, and my Grandmother recorded the show for us to watch again whenever we wanted. She also made her famous Banana Pudding which was also a treat to enjoy while watching the movie. I miss those days. 😔
Had to shed a tear when the McDonald’s commercial came on. 😢
Thank You 🙏🏾
Wouldn’t mind being stuck in time and age right at this moment in 1984....was 11 at the time.
Ewok Adventure is still better than The Last Jedi.
Yay! My 80s sweet spot :). Love 1983-1987 the best.
I am actually currently watching “Paper Dolls.” It’s the most 80s thing I’ve ever seen. Love it.
3:29 - This shot of all the toys reminds me of my best friend when I was growing up, who I think had every Masters of the Universe toy in existence. He was the kind of kid who always got every toy and video game console/game first, and usually around the time it came out.
I'm a pretty big Star Wars fan and I had ZERO idea "The Ewok Adventure" was a thing that existed
There was a sequel too, with Wilford Brimley. It was called "Ewoks: The Battle for Endor".
... Really? Huh. Guess I'm old.
Love this! Actually still have my original air date VHS recording (complete with commercials) on my shelf right now. Good times :)
I watch This now and I wonder what the hell happened Everything was so great back then
Zany, Cute, Heart-warming, and yet timeless these commercials are - well done once again!
" new light weight video system ....."
One could only imagine the reaction a person living in the 80s would have if they'd known the later models of those car phones they were carrying around in suitcases would do all the video and audio work for them of that video system.
I’d love to see that “Funniest Joke” special, of it even exists anymore.
Ronald Happy Holidays skate is a classic
OMG Raisin Bran I rate the best out of this bunch - thats just worth a laugh!
I remember seeing this with my mom back in 1984. I was in sixth grade back then. I also saw 2010 on Christmas Eve that year with my dad.
hardcastle and McCormick ha! that brings back memories
Love these flashbacks keep up the good work
Yes, that is Jimmy Connors
I got so scared of the Ewok movie and made my mom turn it off but I must have been 3 so that makes sense.
I completely agree on Ewok Adventure Vault, it my not be top notch but I enjoyed it growing up as a kid. I watched it later in the 80s in syndication.
Panasonic Video System-good for making your own music videos..i think Adam uses a similar setup on The Goldbergs
The Ewok Adventure-a.k.a Caravan Of Courage(Lucasfilm declares this and the sequel Ewoks:The Battle For Endor to be officially canon..does this mean they will soon be seen on The Mandalorian..?)
The Funniest Joke I Ever Heard-certainly wasnt among the ones told on this special
Call To Glory-before there was FX's The Americans..this episode mustve been a precursor
Three's A Crowd-show shouldve ended at Three's Company
Who's The Boss-reboot supposedly is still happening, just wont be the same without Katherine Helmond :(
2010-good film, wish there wouldve been a film adaptation of 2061 Odyssey Three..R.I.P Douglas Rain(voice of HAL)
Another cool ABC introduction (Closed Captioned bumper/Star Tunnel/Don LaFontaine voiceover) sign me up!
That is most certainly Jimmy Connors for McDonalds.
Thanks for the confirmation...I posted the same ad on my Thanksgiving video but forgot to look up who the guy was.
@@80sCommercialVault I also believe that's his son Brett with him as well
Oh dear Bill Cosby talking about adding stuff to drinks.
Classic Cosby
The Ewok Adventure?? Don't remember this one.. hopefully it's not The Star Wars Holiday Special Part 2 😅
Oh, this was far above the Holiday Special. It actually felt like it belonged within the film universe, and I remember it being fairly impressive with its special effects for a TV movie at the time.
It's not. It's a whole lot better than The Holiday Special.
Battle for Endor was the better of the 2 Ewok movies, but this one has its moments. And if you have the DVD with the 2 movies on it consider yourself lucky. It's been out of print for a long time and goes for well over 100 dollars on ebay. Actor D.B. Sweeney @12:54 ?
That's absolutely D.B. Sweeney
there on Disney plus now I think. they were last year anyway 😀
