@@gigidayz6936 Me too. I remember it wasn’t that good…
I still use Jean Nate' body splash.
I remember looking at that commercial wanting it so bad and now Citi Trends carries it and I buy several bottles at a time
I was 13 when these came out. I'd do just about anything to return to these times. Someone needs to create a VR game where you can revisit your memories and spend time living them out.
My sister and I loved "Simon and Simon"
So did my sister who was 13. I was about 9 and that show seemed too serious and above my entertainment interest scale in those days.
Glad I was an 80s baby. Is it me or did people look healthier and seem happier in general?
Dammit I want a dodge lanser, they sold that commerical . Lol 😆
they had a shelby lancer. i had a omni glh, thing scooted!
Optional turbo mind blown 😤
Lol I didn't see see the car go anywhere in the commercial, I still want one
That piece of sh*t's transmission would probably have exploded at 20k miles
@@metalgrinch Why are you bitter grapes?🙄
The commercials back then were simple and objective, no fooling around, and now are part of our history , and stories
We can't stop from going forward, but i can say this is so great to have this technology to be able to look back on.
Thank for showing this, I like this, it bring back memories.
Those were good days.
@@rodneyadderton1077 yes it was
In 2021 every other commercial is a pharmaceutical commercial and people are sicker than ever. 🤔. I love these commercials! I was in 6th grade!
I wasn’t born until 1991 but I love the jingles and slogans they’re so wholesome 🥰
I was born in 1991 too and I always say I wish I was born in the 60s so I could of been a teenager in the 80s to truly enjoy and appreciate the 80s 😩😹
That Halston ad has a timeless aesthetic.
I don't remember any of these commercials. I was too busy watching MTV and partying on the weekends. Fun times!
80s to early 2000s. The best decades human kind have gone through. Unforgettable, unbeatable times.
I was 15 and a sophomore in hs in 1985. Ohh to go back!
2 years old and walking around this time... so magical.
I wasn’t even a thought Yet. lol
Same.
Me too!
I was 4 then. The world seemed nicer in the 80's and 90's.
Now football is gay and indeed promotes man ladies
This comment just made me realize I was 16 then and my husband was 5. 😳
@@drewjaymes3416 what
I remember walking to school back in 1985 and a truck fell on my head.
We got married in '85. I tried so hard to have Hälsa Hair back then. 😂
Or Creme rinse, On Tap, Herbal Essence, Pert, Flex.....
Dang that Closeup toothpaste knew what they were doing- I actually remembered the words!
This is like sleep therapy. If I put this on, i sleep pretty fast after. Born 1971
My favorite year...
I miss the past so much.
When they showed the TV movie, The Day After..they had guidance counselors come into our homerooms the next day to see if any of us were in shock or needed to talk lol that’s nothing compared to the crap world we live in now
I was 3. Miss my mothers died in 93. Rip. And peace and light to you all.
Anyone here grew up as teen in the 80s? God what great times, no political correctness, no being offended, no cancel culture, didn’t have to keep your eyes pasted to a cellphone all the time, class of 86’..❤️
Weird. Who's forcing you to be offended and glue your eyes to your cellphone? Sounds like a choice to me.
Yes! Live Music was our entertainment, if anyone wanted you, they left a message. No one to video tape your every move and you hung out with your friends not pretend on-line! I so miss it!
@@jelatinosa wow don’t get offended on what I said, I just said times were different then
@Queen of Kings totally 😎
I was 15 years old in 1985. I do remember some of these commercials.
Born in 71 remember many of theses...really drives home how much simpler times were
I am from Omaha and would have been @ 10 years old in 1985. Amazing how many memories came flooding back including the anchors for the news stations. Also, after watching the dancing at 27:57 I, too, may have been ok with banning after hours dancing if that is what we had to look forward to!
I’m from Omaha as well and I’m a year older than you
I would have in middle school. As I turned 14 I’m 1985 in November of that year. Back then my life was not that happy. The only thing I’d ever want to have back from then would be my grandmother. Love you Granny.
Yup. I'm watching 80s movies this weekend. I think I'll start with Teen Witch, then progregressively go back in time. 16 Candles after that.
Me too since I off the weekend
16 Candles is the BEST!!!
Cocktail was my guilty indulgence movie in the 80's
The Outsiders 😃. The Breakfast club 😃 Pretty in Pink 😊
Sounds like a great weekend!
Of all things, it was the brown Vidal Sassoon shampoo label that took me back. Reminded me of my cousin's girlfriend at that time in 1985. Reminded of the band he was in, my grandmother's house, how amazing life was.
So nostalgic! Brings back so many memories!!
Director: So, we're going to drop two trucks from the sky recklessly close to you, most likely endangering your life.
Actor: Let's do this!
42:44 todays complicated world. I am 59 now, if i could go back to the 80's id tell myself to make sure to enjoy even more of this time cuz I could never convince myself any of this was real!!
Knots Landing is the BEST SHOW EVER!❤❤❤❤❤
A lot of people must have been congested back then...
Yep, people's medicine cabinets were stocked with the stuff; I know my parents & I had quite a few different brands in the 1980's:-).
Pay phones. People used public pay phones like it was nothing. All those germs from different people. 🤢
Growing up my dad always had a handful of halls cough drops in his pocket. Grew up thinking I would need that when I get older only tog row up and wonder what the heck? lol
@@plantpoweredmuscle I was into the same habit with cough drops for quite some time before switching to Altoids, but I've leveled off on that as of this moment as well. I'll probably go back to it though!
🤣🤣
14 in 1985. These commercials took me back to that time and frame of mind. I was sooo excited to grow up, eager to be like these beautiful career girls on these ads.
I’m well past being “all grown up”. Now-I sooo wish I could go back to 1985.
Its fun seeing all of these brands that don't exist anymore.
Caress does 😂😂
@@iminit4themoney330 nyquil does too
OMG! Simon and Simon! Oh my mom and I would watch.
Damn,I miss the 80's
This is the year I got married. ❤ I miss the 80s…best decade of my life. 😢
I miss jingles. 🎵 Now the commercials today just use songs as background music.
People aren't as creative as they once were.
and what crappy condescending preschool level garbage today's ad music is
In 1985 everyone was like oh man I don't want to see these commercials and now we're like oh awesome look commercials from 1985❤😂
0:11 Sorry...it's gonna take a lot more than lilting synths and slow-motion dancers to sell me on the Dodge Lancer. How did the FCC ever let them get away with using words like "sleek" and "captivating" to describe that beast?
Hysterical! Hahahaha
😂
Sadly, compared to today's cars (anything by Toyota for instance), that Dodge monstrosity is somehow now attractive.
I LOVE the 80s!
😂😂
Takes me back to my teen years
LOL that dodge truck was literally hanging there - glad he knew his spot - years before CGI and other special effects, real men, real trucks, Dodge LOL 4:02
A very special decade for me back then especially the 80's music nothing quite like it!
