Poor Amy Scott. I bet the memories of winning this contest still haunt her today 37 years later.

Grew up in Racine, WI born 1979 man this block was my jam! Sitting cross legged in front of that old tube TV in fake wood cabinet such bittersweet feelings.

20:03 - 1986 was definitely the height of my Transformers fandom. I remember going to see the animated movie twice at the theater that summer. I thought nothing could replace my love for the toy line. Then my best friend Tim got a Nintendo for Christmas that year, and suddenly, Transformers seemed old hat. I would get a Nintendo of my own the following Christmas of 87 when I was 10, along with a small TV, and never looked back. I still collect for Nintendo and Super Nintendo to this day, with over 140 games, most Complete in Box.

14:13 - I can’t believe I took this show seriously as a kid. I did get to see Adam West and Burt Ward give a panel at DragonCon in Atlanta back in 2012. They were hilarious together, with great chemistry even after all that time.

It was so neat but overwhelming to see Transformers expand into many different groups that year. New cars for the Decepticons and airplanes for the Autobots. Triple-Changers for the Autobots.

I miss the days when there were toys in cereal boxes.

Indeed that's a stacked lineup of cartoons! also McD's keeps trying to bring back the halloween buckets, but they no longer provide an actual lid, and that always bugged me more than it probably should. :(

The WMSN contest winner from 2020 returns here! What I said 3 years ago: "I'm thinking that channel 47 contest winner probably uncovered her deep-seated fear of clowns that day!" I STILL MEAN IT!

My cousin had one of those Tony's Treasure Boxes. When we visited I thought it was the coolest damn thing, and he let me have it. Talk about unlocking a memory, I couldn't have been more than 5. And going on the date listed in the description I just checked...I wasn't!

Man, Channel 47 had a killer weekday lineup, where was this when I was a kid.

This was my local Fox channel in Wisconsin, stationed in Madison, when I grew up. Channel 47 was definitely the best when it came to cartoons during the 80s and 90s.

Puttin’ on the Kids looks like a show kids were forced to appear on because their parents were desperate to be famous.

Love those pumpkin pails! My mother has a photo somewhere of a 3yo me holding like 5 of them.
And a sidenote after hearing that Potato Head Kids ad, do they still do that nowadays? Have kids sing the jingles for toy ads? If not, some marketing director needs to make that happen again. It's fun and quirky, and I always really liked it

I wouldn't be surprised if the host for "Putting on the Kids" was miserable every day of his job...

11:08 I wouldn’t be shocked if the person who drew this ended up being hired by Sega of America to do box art for the early Genesis games. Or maybe as one of the art designers for Nickelodeon Arcade.
