Been waiting for this moment for YEARS now. Going in relatively blind - I only played a tiny bit of the game in Early Access, which means I'm in for a couple of surprises, even in Act 1! Hey Party, I know you're not familliar with 5e so if I can make a sugestion for the future:
Your character can use his Action to take the Dash Action to make an extra move, effectively doubling your movement for that turn (but giving up on attacks). There were moments when your character made no attacks, as he was out of range, but he also only moved once. You could have used a Dash Action to get closer.
Also: Remember Shillellagh is a Bonus Action. You can use it and attack on the same turn, or cast another cantrip.
Game is just starting and I expect them to be forgiving about it, but in the future you should strive to remember what actions you have and use as many as possible as effectively as possible every round. Action economy is key in 5e.
Action economy is EVERYTHING in 5e.
I knew your character creation would be in-depth and long, that's part of why I wanted to watch
I got chills in that opening music. More than anyone out there, I love the way you RP - and if there's a game that lets you RP - its D&D and by extension BG3 will do that.
Your own characters narrative ontop of the already established plot- this is going to be the series to watch! we better strap in, its going to be a hell of a ride!

Looking forward to this! Poor Druid must have felt horrible on the wasteland planet.
Not that this matters but for context. That wasteland planet was Avernus, the first layer of the Nine Hells. Populated by Devils, the same devils that will try and get people to sign a contract for their souls.

Very excited to see this from you. Like you, I put this game aside after playing in the early parts of 2021. Excited to be starting up again myself and was also considering druid, as that wasn't even an option when I was playing.

When I saw the title "Nauti Boy" I was worried it was a double pun, not just Nautiloid but also Naughty, and that you were going Dark Urge. Glad you aren't! At least for a first playthrough...
Just to let you know about one game item: If two or more toons are next to each other in the lie up (up top) you can select any of them to move first. Example: Line up - 1) Your Fighter 2) Your druid 3) Imp attacker 4) Your Cleric -- You can move your Druid and Fighter at will. You can move the druid, then move the fighter and attack, and then attack with the druid. You could not push the clr in front of the Imp so they have to wait. Hope that helps. It's very useful. Also: Great Start! I'm playing a ton so I can be a head of you lol. I'm still already see stuff I never did. Love it.
Really glad you're playing this. For future reference though, I believe if all your characters are grouped up in the queue then you can move or attack in any order you want.

For the Zhalk fight, it's easier you switch up Shadowheart's spells before the fight, so she can cast Bless on your party. The bonus from Bless helps a ton with your low hit chances against his high defense. You got him down really low already, if you missed a bit less you probably could've taken him down.

I’m on console so I’m waiting anyways. Hesitant because of my limited experience with D&D and the sheer size of this game. This will help, thank you!
Oh, one last advice: Look at the spells your friends have and what they do between eps. Guiding Bolt, For exemple, gives Advantage on attacks against that creatire, which can be very useful if you focus your fire.

Why does anyone use the custom feature for the skill bar? Cant play it like this, i swear xD
Can anyone please help me with this?---> i'm brand new to these type of gsmes. I'm playing it on console ps5. But i can't fight because it always says "not enough movement" even though it is RIGHT next to the player to move there. And since i can't move i have to skip a turn and then i just keep getting hit and not being able move. I really want to try to this game but it is so frustrating! I can't even move at at all not even a little bit! :"(

Are there any nods to previous bg games?
Actually yes. To name just a few, you only need to take a look at the temple in the main menu, with the symbol of the skull and the blood drops. This is related to The Dark Urge background: if you play the narrated intro for the background, you will see the blood drops appear on the ground, around the character's feet. Also, if you own the Artbook from the Deluxe Edition, you can see there's at least two returning characters from Baldur's Gate I and II.
**SPOILERS AHEAD**
The skull with the circling blood drops is the symbol of the god Bhaal. That makes me think The Dark Urge background is actually a Bhaalspawn. The two returning characters of which I speak are Minsc and Jaheira.
I am sure there will be many, many more nods to the classic titles, but this is what I know so far with my very limited experience in the game.
Would’ve been nice to see it as a female dwarf. I don’t think anybody is doing a play through her or let’s play with a female dwarf.
