Joshua might not be dead. He is the Phoenix after all, which can rise from the ashes and resurrect. Why else would he be on the title image if he didn’t have a larger role?
Nope. Because Clive have the ability to "steal" other Eikons so Clive has the power of Phoenix and there's a snippet of Ifrit vs Ifrit. So the Ifrit in the logo might not exactly be Clive but the villain of the game.
God damn the line delivery in this game. Say what you will about the game being easy. The story and voice acting is absolutely top of its class. I've probably seen this scene four times now and its still just as painful to hear their cries of pain and fear now as it was then.

My theory is Rosaria meant to have another Eikon in a body of Clive that's why he's been rejected by the Eikon Phoenix. Sadly, they don't know how powerful their nation will be for having 2 Eikons of Fire. I
Ain't that the most fucked-up thing? Anabella was so cruel to Clive and sold out their nation because she assumed he was rejected; she had no clue they had not one but TWO powerful Eikons in their kingdom. Rosaria could have become immensely powerful if she'd just been patient and let Clive awaken to his powers in a slightly less traumatic way.
Something super interesting that I just noticed is that Joshua's eyes at 4:57 are still yellow, meaning that he doesn't have control over his eikon (in fact, his eyes are only first visibly blue at 6:27, which means he likely calmed down enough to gain control back sometime during the falling sequence). What makes this so interesting is that at 4:57, Joshua has already had some comprehensible internal dialogue, meaning that it's very possible that every other out of control/yellow eyed eikon you fight throughout the game could have also had their own internal dialogue during the fights that we just never got to hear.
